Left me waiting 50 minutes after job done.

We prepaid and made an appt. When I was 10 min late for the appt I was fine when they told me it would take an hour, maybe an hour and 10 minutes. I sat down to wait. After an hour and 15 minutes I headed to the restroom, was gone about 5 min. I came back and checked out the door and there was a car that looked a little similar to mine parked at the very far end. But I couldn't tell so I sat to wait. 20 min later I finally said something. The guy goes out to the garage and says oh they are just getting it down now. There was a problem. I step outside and a guy is going to the car at the end and driving it around. So while they were nice, you can't trust people that lie straight to your face. When I got home, my husband calls to let me know that the car was ready 1 hour after I dropped it off. They left me waiting 50 minutes! I know 1st world problem, but we spent about $1500. And expected better.

You Can Get A Solid Deal Here, But Watch Out...

I buy all my tires here, so I am VERY familiar with Discount Tire. Their after-the-sale services like rebalancing, rotation, and flat fixing are all free. Even including about $25 per tire of made-up fees, they compete very well on price against anyone.

However, they're very annoying about trying to upsell you things you don't need. I always skip the optional extended warranty; the one time I needed it (and had paid for it) my 16K-mile tires were "too worn out" to replace (according to the Longmont Colorado Discount Tire store).

Recently they've started to branch out. It was bad enough when they started pushing wiper blades. On my last visit, after finding out that I had already had new tires and wiper blades, the clearly-disappointed sales guy tried to sell me new lug nuts. I would encourage anyone to STRONGLY push back against wiper blades, lug nuts, extra tire warranties, or whatever other extra-money-making scheme they have thought up lately. This is the kind of "bright idea" that bean-counters come up with. It's hard to measure the cost of making customers mad, but it's real. Something the bean-counters never include in their calculations.

4 hours and counting and no end in sight

Bought new tires, had a screw in one and got to store at opening and 4 hours in all they do is push my job back as the take one after another scheduled jobs. Why would you have a tire business if you can't help people who have a flat tire! Happy to sell me a whole set of new ties no mention that it could take all day! It's like being first up in a line and the clerks takes call after call for orders while you wait! Even though you were first. If you have a flat tire skip Discount as all they service is online order.

Not customer friendly!

Two different times now I have stopped at our local Discount Tire in Saratoga Springs with a tire which was going flat. Both times I was told they were too busy to check it and wanted me to make an appointment to come back. The whole point of stopping was to avoid having to change a tire while in a business suit. I can see making an appointment for standard services but they should be willing to make allowances for an emergency. After the same thing happening twice I won't go back again. I've spent a lot of money there in the past, but I am certainly going to take my business elsewhere from now on.

I have bought many sets of tires from discount tires. I took my 2020 Subaru Ascent in for it's first set of replacement tires. They went out to scan my vin number, come back in and ask me if my name is xxxxxxx. I say no, this car has never been in here. Well they had my new car, purchased with cash, never owned by anyone else but us, under someone else's name. I got my tires, which I had already paid for online. They gave me some BS story about how that can happen. I talked with the manager, he gave me a different BS story. I called headquarters to find out how a car that had never been in to the store, was listed under someone else's name. He said our scanners aren't always accurate, but they are mostly right. "Inspires great confidence" I asked them why are you still using them,well we know they aren't accurate, I will pass this on to our teams for input. Which means nothing will happen, and they don't care about customers personal data. Since I ordered these tires online and I'm unsure of how much data the other person has of mine. I need to cancel my card, get a new one. I will never shop there again. The incompetence starts at the regional vice president, maybe goes higher, and runs down hill after that.

Michelin CrossClimate 2 are Fantastic!

After hours of reviewing tires (I even paid to get on some sites to see their tests), these had the best combination of dry, wet and snow traction. I run service calls for a living and have to get there in all weather. These tires have been life changing! Thank you Kyle Wright at Discount Tire Greenwood for making it happen! I am 64 and have never driven tires like these!

Bait and switch
November 21, 2022

Called and got a quate for 2300 for Blizzac winter tires and came down. Told it would be 2500. I thought the difference was tax so just swolled hard and said ok. When done ( quickly) they had put on Grabbers and said they did not have the Blizzac. Bait and switch.Tires are ok,but not worth 2500

Discount tire 2 on the rear are cupping out at 16,000 miles, discount tires will not rotate. 2 cheap Walmart tires on front from Walmart, 70,000 miles past warranty, no cupping nothing. Discount tire are refurbished tires, or retreat tires, apparently. My van tires cost me 60.00 more at discount tires Janesville WI. Than the discount company sell them for. I had to provide the information then they gave me back 60.00 and I drive to Janesville WI store to get my over payment back. Discount tires are lying about everything.

I am so disappointed i had purchased 2 set of 4 high mileage tires since nov 21... I also purchased their protection plan that includes free tire rotation. Today i scheduled a tire rotation and I was declined service because my tires are wear down. Solution offered to me was to buy 4 new tires with a manufacturer discount. I did not wanted to buy another set of new tires. My tires can still be use the warranty was 85K miles and i only put 40k miles on them. I want to continue using my tires... i am done with this company and buying high mileage tires from them... i will buy my 4 car tires somewhere else. And forget about protection plan garbage. Not coming back and i should get my money back for the protection plan i did not get to use at all... not recommend this place.

Appointment for tires.

Had an appointment made two weeks in advance at the Burien location. Arrived at my 0800 appointment time. (waited outside to be first in line) Attendant at desk talked to another attendant and then told me they only have one in stock. When I made my appointmet they had three. This is not even a lame excuse as I was on the schedule for two weeks. Had the earliest appointment aviliable Seems logical a well ran store would have had them out and ready instead of relying on an oops. Did not even offer to call other locations. Been a customer for years. It may be time to look for a more reliable company.

I woke up to a flat the other day so I put on the donut and as soon as I got to work I called discount tire. DT told me I could bring in my tire after work and they would take a look. I brought it in to the location off of Los Altos Pkwy at around 5pm, they told me they could fix it but that they close as 6pm. They said they would text me when they were working on it and if I came back when I received the text chances are they would be able to get my tire back to me.

So I got the text and went back over there, it was 7:45pm and not only were they still there working, a guy actually took my tire out to my jeep because he said his hands were already dirty. So because they were closed I didn't even ask them to put the tire on in the bay, I'm sure all those guys were just trying to get home. I was outside in their parking lot and having problems with my cheap jack and wasn't having the best time changing my tire. When there were two guys left I'm assuming closing up for the night one of the guys asked me if I was alright or if I needed help. I explained to him that my jack wasn't lifting up right.

So the guy comes back out with the Asst manager Andrew and the manager asks me if I need any help. I had explained that I was getting the jack to work and that I'm probably good, Andrew told the other guy to run back in the shop and get the hammer drill (power driver) and a large torque wrench anyways. The guy comes out and Andrew uses the driver to tighten my lugs and then adjusts them with the torque wrench.

First of all these guys were grinding two hours past close, second of all they take my tire out for me when I'm sure they're trying to get home and finally they come out to check on me and helped me tighten my tire down in the parking lot. They did not have to do any of the things I just mentioned. I want to give a shout out to Andy and his team for going the extra mile after hours to make sure I was good. I will be back and they will have my business going forward no matter what. You just don't get service like that anymore anywhere! Thanks Andrew!

Scammers

I went in today to get my tire repaired after I discovered a nail in it. Disclosure: I noticed the nail months ago but it hadn't caused any problems so I took my time going in to get it repaired. When I get there, the lady at the desk asked how she could help. I informed her I had an appointment at 9am to fix a tire. She goes and does the initial inspection and comes back and tells me the current life of the tires based on a chart in their lobby. She suggests I purchase at least two back tires because they're teaching the end of their life. I told her I would pass for now. She then goes on and says that if my tire cannot be repaired, I will HAVE to buy a new tire because company policy prohibits them from putting a tire back on the car that is deemed unsafe. I tell her that I will not buy another tire and if they're unable to repair it, I will take it somewhere else. They dismount the tire and lo and behold, they find not one nail BUT FOUR! She tells me they cannot put the tire back on because it's in terrible, terrible shape and it's not safe. But they have a really great deal for me and can sell me a USED TIRE for $172. I kindly reject and ask if they can put my other tire on. She goes and checks with her manager, comes back and says she cannot put my original tire on because of safety concerns, nor can they put my spare on because it's older than 2016 (it's a 2009). At this time, they have put on the used tire that they wanted to sell me for $172 and asked if I could give $60. I told her no, against and to please put my original tire on. She said for me to not worry about it and I could just have their used tire for free. I go down the street to a local tire shop and the guys there were appalled and said they could not believe I was being told I had four nails. After testing my tire they saw no nails and no leaks. They put my tire back on my car for $10. Last but not least, the guys at the local tire shop told me the free, used tire that discount gave me was warped and low on air. I'll never return to Discount Tire again. I'm considering legal action.

Discount Tire Duluth, MN: Alway exceptional!

Not my first rodeo with the Duluth location, and each has been exceptional - from price matching, to expedient servicing and empathetic, articulate, compassionate staff - bar none - from phone calls, to online chats, to emails and (ultimately) in person!
Cannot recommend them enough!
