They scammed me out of over £50
Ive tried to contact had no reply!
This is a big scam. Initially they tell you the can unlock your phone. As time passes they say your phone cant unlock abd youre not getting any money back. Big scam. They offer a money back guarantee which is a lie! 0 stars for this place!
CLICK out of their website! I have dealt with the SAME person(LUKE) and he just keeps giving you the run around after they take your money. TOTAL SCAM! I paid my money for an unlock. However, after I was told my payment was an initial payment and I had to pay more money or they would not unlock it. They also refused a refund. When I asked questions I was met with an impersonal email that seemed to be copied and slightly edited for each response. I have been waiting over a month and my money nor unlock has been given to me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS "COMPANY".
I'm sure this company is legit based on the reviews, but it took almost three weeks before my "pre-unlock" was complete and am on day three of the actual unlock process. I don't doubt that my phone will be unlocked eventually, so I gave two stars instead of one. However, there are some things about this company that have left a bad taste in my mouth.
First, they say on your tracking page and their ToS that they will keep you updated/informed throughout the entire process. They say they have people available for support 24/7. After a couple days of the "pre-unlock," I reached out to see what was taking so long. They informed me that it was something to do with new phones not being able to be unlocked right away and it generally takes no less than a couple extra weeks. Why didn't they reach out to me to let me know? They seem to pride themselves on having good communication. But whatever...
I have a problem with this whole "pre-unlock" thing as well. They're pretty shady about it. Sure, it's in the fine print. I don't think most users know the difference between this and the actual unlock. But again, whatever, I missed that and that's my fault. Maybe they should call it "Verification Phase" so they aren't deliberately confusing customers. But what really irked me about it is that after the "pre-unlock" was complete, they sent me an email letting me know I had to pay more for the actual unlock (my fault) while simultaneously mentioning several times that I had only paid for a "pre-unlock" and that it's mentioned in several (slightly hidden) places on their website. Cool—why aren't you this forthright before the initial purchase? It comes across a lot like "now that we've successfully swindled you, we need more money for the unlock, and here are the reasons why you have no right to complain about the aforementioned swindling."
As I said, I'm on day three of the actual unlocking phase. Their site says several times that iPhones take about 24 hours to unlock, and I'm over 48 hours. I have reached out for an update and have yet to receive a response. The estimated time remaining goes down by one hour approximately every four hours. What gives? I don't know, they won't respond.
Attracted by the 1 to 6 hours unlock service I've decided to give directunlock a try, only to find out 48 hours later and a few emails that they were not unlocking my device. I called the manufacture and they send me the unlock codes within 5 minutes for FREE. I ask directunlock for a refund because they didn't perform their promise and at that point I got an email saying they don't do refunds sorry for my luck.
I usually don't write reviews but if you are about to unlock your device think twice.
I was misled by this company thinking they could unlock my iphone. After paying $28, they told me they could not unlock my phone but I needed to another $130. I refused, and they sent me an email that I would get a refund. I tried to contact them so they could process the refund. Never heard from them. I wrote a review about my experience, and they sent me an email indicating they would send me the refund if I remove the review.
All the favorable reviews on their website have been fabricated. STAY AWAY!
First I paid the fee to find out if it was blacklisted and it came back clean. Waited over 30 days and every time I checked it was at 99% and imminent plus it also stated 5 days and 4 hours each and every time I visited the web site. Asked for a refund and now Luke wants wants a copy of my receipt showing I paid for the phone. They had already checked the phone to see if it was blacklisted and it came back clean. Based on that info I went ahead with the unlock and now I'm out of money. Luke is a joke. He only responds after you've sent emails more than once. Save your money... Don't trust them... I will be doing more reviews at different websites and I sincerely hope they( or Luke) go out of business. See order here: Thanks for your order!
Please note this payment will appear on your credit/debit card statement as Directunlocks/NOCHEX.

They're scammers. Do not waste your money. They never let it clear that the $23 is just a check for eligibility to unlock. I paid it and they said my handset was eligible for unlock. Then, paid more $35 and after 5 days they said my mobile was not eligible to unlock as they've said and they do not want to make a refund. They are now charging for a premium service of $220 that they guarantee my handset will be unlocked. They're scammers, do not believe in them. They don't want to do the refund I've requested. Waste of time and money as they cannot provide the service they offer.
Losing money... nothing more... and no refund after a year. No response at e-mails and so on... and cannot make my refund procedure (if that exists...)
Putting after payments in the little print what wasnt clear to me and straight away already say that a refund isnt possible so its basically a scam and they hope people dont see it.
This company are a scam. They give you a quote for unlocking which they don't mention is actually a "checking fee" to see if they can unlock it. Then they ask you to pay an additional fee to actually unlock the phone - in my case another £48, which I can't afford so goodbye £23.99! I'm normally really careful and I'm gutted that I fell for this!
I paid both fees (in total $80) and my phone was submitted to be unlocked on 3/12/2020. It still hasn't been unlocked and if you email their customer service (shout out to luke) they will respond with a generic response and disregard any questions you may have. Sometimes you won't get a response. Oh and according to their terms and conditions you can request a refund after 30 days (if it's not completed) I can confirm that this is a lie. Please see images to how they respond to a refund request. Oh and their reviews appear positive because they flag negative reviews and try to get them removed. You'd have more luck asking a potato to unlock your phone.
No a good compay be aware. Expensive and thieves. Put a iphone to be unlocked took a month to let me know they cannot do it after charged me 100 dollars
Who is leaving the positive reviews?
I paid £25 then they advise it's ready to unlock pay another £80 and it will be ready! What a joke!
When you read the website it says if they can't get you a code they will refund your money. NOT TRUE, they tell me I've purchased a pre-order witch is not refundable. I purchased what was on the main page of the site, didn't say anything about a pre-order. Don't use this site. Your just throwing away your money.
According to this scam of a website you pay 23.99 to unlock a device. What the website fails to be clear about is that this is a pre check fee.
Then you receive a follow up email stating you need to pay even more.
I'm astonished that a circus like this is allowed to do business. Stealing through means of deception in a time when many of us are struggling.
They billed me $29 for the unlock code after I put in my phone info. 4 hours later they requested a "final payment" of $49 for the code to be released. At best that's sketchy and at worst it's a fraudulent misrepresentation of pricing. If they needed a deposit they could have said so.
There are cheaper more open and honest options
I purchased this unlock all the way back on November 10th for an iPhone XR and it's been stuck on imminent unlock for two days. I've sent multiple emails and have gotten no replies and the timer itself hasn't moved from 6 days and 6 hours in three days!
This company provides a FALSE refund policy. It states it will refund but it's a trap, they only provide credit to their company. Do not use this service, it's a SCAM!
Do not use this site, it is a massive scam. They make out your paying £23.99 to have your phone unlocked. Then send you an email demanding another £95. And do not unlock your phone. Whatever you do, do not use this site. Unlock for free with your network provider!
