DILLARD'S AT BEACHWOOD MALL IN CLEVELAND, OH: WENT THERE TODAY -NEW YEAR'S EVE TO SCOPE OUT THE SELECTIONS FOR TOMORROW'S PURCHASES. ARRIVED AT ABOUT 10:30 AM. THE STORE HAD ONLY BEEN OPENED ABOUT A HALF HOUR SO THERE WEREN'T MANY PEOPLE THERE. HEADED TO THE SHOE DEPARTMENT WHERE I SPOTTED ONLY TWO SALES ASSOCIATES WHOM WERE BOTH HELPING OTHER CUSTOMERS. I CIRCLED THE DEPARTMENT A FEW TIMES JUST WAITING ON AN ASSOCIATE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. WHEN THE LADY WAS DONE HELPING HER CUSTOMER, I WHO WAS BASICALLY STANDING NEXT TO HER SEEMED TO BE INVISIBLE BECAUSE SPOKE TO ALL OF THE CUSTOMERS AROUND ME BUT NEVER ASKED ME IF I NEEDED ANY HELP. STRIKE 1! THEN ANOTHER FEMALE ASSOCIATE CAME FROM THE BACK AND ASKED IF I NEEDED HELP. I TOLD HER YES AND THAT I HAD TWO QUESTIONS. I ASKED THE FIRST QUESTION AND THE PROCEEDED TO WALK AWAY. I STOPPED HER TO ASK MY SECOND QUESTION AND SHE ANSWERED VERY QUICKLY AND AGAIN TURNED AND WALKED AWAY. I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I KNOW THESE WERE BOTH SEASONED EMPLOYEES AS I'VE SEEN THEM IN THIS STORE BEFORE. PERHAPS THEY ARE NOT READY FOR THR CROWD THAT AWAITS THEM NEW YEAR'S DAY. WHATEVER THE CASE, I HOPE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS BETTER TOMORROW OR MAYBE THEY SHOULD CONSIDER FINDING ANOTHER JOB! I WORRY THAT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT A STORE LIKE THIS IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN.

Disappointed
September 1, 2019

A few years ago my husband needed a couple of suits for his new job. We decided to try Dillard's, we went straight to the men's department and proceeded to check out the suits. My husband tried a couple of jackets to get the feel of them but thought it would be best to try the full suit on.
We needed help, so I went and found an associate and asked them for help, they said they would be right over. Well 20 mins past and he didn't come over to where we were standing. So I went to look for him and he was helping another couple.
He motioned he'd be right there, again we waited so I once again went to find him or someone else. He was talking to another associate. He looked up and carried on his conversation. So my husband and I left very angry and very dissatisfied.
Today, we decided to give Dillard's another chance, we went in to the suit department as we were looking for a suit, shoes and shirt for our daughter's wedding next month.
We looked for someone to assist us but he was busy with someone else, only this time he said he would be right with us.
So we waited close by this time, surely we wouldn't have the same experience as the last time. The next thing we saw he was dealing with another customer who had just walked up to the counter, so being rather patient people we decided to check out some suits for ourselves as we waited for him.
So as my husband is trying on jacket after jacket, I noticed a young man standing by the counter all alone no one near him he want busy with a sale he was just stood there.
He looked over watching me and my husband as if we were going to take something, he never came over to offer us help and the other associate was now dealing with yet another customer who had just walked in to the area. That's it we are done with Dillard's, you have disappointed us for the last time.
On the other hand we went to Macy's and were treated very well and unfortunately my husband didn't get his suit but he did get a very nice experience and a shirt.
Maybe Dillard's needs to do a bit of mystery shopping in your own store. Especially the one in Newport news VA.

So I was told about the New Year's Day sale. I shopped online for hours and put items in my cart. I was on the Dillard's site for a few hours before 12 am ready to make my purchase watching the countdown. While I was waiting, one of my items said only 2 left. Then it said removed from cart, item unavailable. Really? Is someone else allowed the sale before me? Like the East coast? Then... all of a sudden an error. I couldn't get back on. Kept telling me Error. Then it says, Suddenly, we have become extremely popular. Due to an overwhelming amount of traffic, some guests are unable to access the site. We have you in our "queue"... well, not to mention the other time I have wasted, I have sat here 45 minutes now just waiting to check out. Bet you there's not one thing left in my cart. Wow, the time I have wasted. Oh yeah, they apologize for the inconvenience. LOL. Now I need to go return the items I bought at the store that matched what I wanted online. I can't express on here how mad I am. I don't think I will ever be able to check out. Guess I just need to go to bed and lesson learned. Don't shop at Dillards, especially online because when 12 am comes around, you will be bumped off and someone else gets yours items and you just wasted loads of time you will never get back. Hey 12:53 am it let me back on. I only have 2 items left in my cart. Now, do I want to pay the same shipping cost for one item that I was going to pay for 6 items. No. And I do not want one of a matching set either. So screw that. Now, I won't buy anything. Not worth it now. Cuss, Cuss Dillards. I should not have been bumped off. Now, I will return the other items to the store.

Went to the Lancome counter for some foundation. A guy, or maybe it was a masculine overweight girl, we couldn't tell, tried to match me up with some foundation. His first try he thought was perfect. I knew in my heart it wasn't going to match, but I bought because they had a GWP and was smart enough to ask for a sample of the foundation so I could try it home to be sure.
I was right, I put it on before going to work and it looked like I had a spray tan on my face. I was so orange it wasn't funny. I had to rewash face, start over with my trusty "it" CC cream.
I went to the Lancome counter at Macy's and showed them the sample the guy gave me and they asked who in the world suggested this color. I told her a guy (or masculine girl), she said I'm not warm at all, I am the cool in the foundation. She tried on me blended so perfectly. You could not even tell I had any on. Again, I asked for a sample and I tried it on the next day. It was perfect all day long. Pure perfection. I ended up buying at Macy's and returning to Dillard's.
Please Dillard's, higher young girls that are girls and know their product and trained in helping the consumer.
I feel very uncomfortable with a guy with make up and painted nails, trying to be a girl, or a girl trying to be a guy in the way they looked and act r towards me. Plus, did not know their product at all. It was wasted time, gasoline and frustration. I will not return to the Lancome counter at Dillard's until they can hire young LADIES, that are real ladies, and educated in their products, they are selling.
Total Macy's customer now, as is the lady before me, we ended up talking about this guy/girl in fragrance area. She was annoyed as much as I was.
Not a fun shopping experience.

THEY HAVE A FEW OLDER LOYAL CUSTOMERS, AND SLOW AND THEY WONDER WHY SO SLOW, WE STLL ARE A SMALL TOWN AND IF YOU GO THROUGH EMPLOYEES LIKE THEY DO WORD GETS OUT FAST, AND LIKE I SAID NO MORE SHOPPING FOR ME THERE OR ONLINE, SO IF I FEEL THIS WAY WHAT ABOUT THE OTHERS THAT HAVE QUIT OR BEEN FIRED. Overpriced with minimal service

This store has always been an overpriced store. They never have sales except January and there horrible. They charge delivery fees on items that aren't available in the store and you have to only order them online. So if it doesn't work out and it doesn't fit or you don't like the quality you still have to pay for the shipping fee. ( unless you order $2k plus or a "special" member. I do not know how they're still in business and I'm not sure why I kept the Dillard's card for so long but I'm getting rid of it and done with this store! I'm disappointed that I had to drive 45 min to go into the store to order the coat because it wasn't available to buy in the store and when she rang me up she just told me the price of the coat and the total BUT never mentioned a delivery charge To me. I feel like that was so misleading so when the coat did not fit and I took it back to the store of course they did not refund the hidden delivery charge. I just feel like it's little things like that to make a big difference with the company and what they offer a customer. TRANSPARENCY. I drove 45 minutes to place the order With the store. Then to be misled on the delivery charge was upsetting. Even my shipping receipt doesnt show the delivery charge. The sales lady just confirmed the price of the jacket and then gave me the total so I guess that's my bad. Most stores do not charge a delivery fee so I was shocked...Especially a store like Dillards which is supposed to be the upper crust but when I look around, nothing feels like upper crust when I'm in the store ( except the prices) It's not like a Nordstrom or a Saks. It feels just like a Kohl's ( NO offense Kohls) or JC Penny...
