Thanks to dietdoctor.com my husband and I have been following the Keto lifestyle.
I get all the information we need from the site and I am confident of the expertise of the doctors and staff on it. Love it! Great recipies that I know are calculated specifically for the Keto lifestyle. I have lost 65 lbs and my husband lost 60 lbs!
There very conscious about health and weight loss needs
The doctor consult and take all things in consideration. The staff is great. I would recommend.
The Diet Doctor app is my weekly meal planner and shopping buddy. After losing around 15 kg over 8 months to reach my goal weight and after enjoying the fruits of mental and physical wellbeing, this way of eating has become an achievable lifestyle. My thinking has changed to where food choices are automatic and simple. Cooking is a joy for me and I love researching healthy alternatives for favourite meals. Diet Doctor offers an endless supply of fresh ideas. The videos and articles help me to stay informed. I don't believe it is safe to change diets unless you know the research behind it. I look forward the the weekly emails and am always amazed with people's success stories.
The only addition I would suggest for the app is the ability to add extra non-menu items to the shopping list for complete grocery shopping satisfaction!
Thank you for your diligence and commitment to the wider community.
I've been using and recommending Diet Doctor website for more than 5 years. No pop ups. The best recipes and diet plans. They are constantly updating and improving their information to the latest out there.
The information provided by DietDoctor.com is cherry-picked and misleading. Their articles always seem to accentuate the benefits of low-carb diets without taking serious consideration to potential health risks.
What if the low-carb diet isn't healthy or effective for a specific individual, then what should they do?
DietDoctor.com has no answer for this question, potentially leading at-risk individuals down a path that can devastate their health.
Even the website name itself is very misleading. By calling your website "DietDoctor", you are assuming the responsibility of understanding the benefits and risks of many different diets for various populations and conditions while maintaining an unbiased take on them all.
Instead, when you go to DietDoctor.com, you are overwhelmed with information about low-carb dieting and that's it. This can lead consumers to believe that low-carb and keto diets are the only way to improve health and lose weight which is not backed up by the research literature and goes against medical consensus.
I registered for the free trial about an hour ago - had to give up my credit card info of course. I spent about 15 minutes looking at meal plans. I've been using Keto diet for about 5 years; I was hoping for some creative recipes. None to be found, so I tried to cancel. So far, impossible to do. I've had to email them, HOPING I can get this membership cancelled. Frustrating.
Hi Jana!
Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was frustrating!
The membership can be cancelled online by clicking "cancel membership" on your account page. It does not necessarily have to take more than a minute.

The site is very good, nice recipes and awesome keto visual tools, but I have had two big problems:
1) After getting the membership, it was impossible for me to create my personalized plan. I tried 3 days on my laptop and in the App but I was not successful. That's why I decided to cancel my membership
2) According to the web, I only had to go to my user and press "cancel Membership" but that option was not available, so I have wasted a lot of time trying to solve that problem and writing mails to customer services.
Finally they canceled my subscription. They were quick and friendly but I don't think it's ethical to give them 5 stars because my experience with the membership was not good at all.
Please make it easier to unsubscribe, otherwise you lose trust and credibility.
Successes
Hi Ana!
Thank you for your feedback, and sorry for any inconvenience or unclarity that you may have experienced in the cancellation process.
However, there is a cancel button on the account page, and it works fine (I just tested it to make sure that there's no bug). There's no need to switch to another plan, obviously, you can cancel at any time.
Please contact me directly at andreas@dietdoctor.com and I'll assist you in canceling and try to understand what went wrong here, so we can make sure it does not happen to anyone else.

7 days into my 30 day trial I canceled due to the generic programs that offers the same programs to everyone ( not personalized) as they claim. Approximately 6 months later they went ahead and took $99US
Out of my account. I have sent numerous emails and "submitted request" portal for my refund with a supposedly 24 hour response time. It's been 2 weeks and not a peep from this company.
Lets see how long it takes for them to acknowledge this review. I WANT MY FULL REFUND!
Be careful of their trial versions as with any other online businesses. Most online businesses will remind you if your trial period is ending before they charge you, Diet Doctor does not. If you forget to cancel the 30-day trial, they will automatically charge you the yearly 99USD fee without prior notice at all. Some online businesses send you a notice of end of trial period. They charge you adinistrative of 7USD as well in case of refund charges.
Like the recipe's. I have not eaten this way since I was a child. It is going back (if you are old enough) to the way we used to eat. Lots of fat, minimal sugar.
Really enjoy the website and the encouragement it gives. Love the fact that it is not funded by big food.
Excellent videos and research articles.
The Diet Doctor site is everything you need in one tidy package! It's my go-to place for meals, recipes, information, inspiration/motivation. No guess work, no counting calories, and you don't have to participate in an unrealistic exercise routine... just sign on and click! Highly recommend this site! Thanks Diet Doctor for everything you do!
Diet Doctor is my go-to site for education, inspiration, information and recipes. I go there regularly when planning meals, always find a delicious recipe. It is also the site that I recommend to everyone wanting to find out about my weight loss and improved health.
Brilliant; scientific; patient-centered information. A truly heroic doctor,
Dr. Andreas Eenfeldt, MD-who values patients lives and has helped so many find wellness; good health and reversal of chronic diseases.
DietDoctor plays a critical role in improving my health. From in-depth expert interviews, to a beautiful and easy-to-use meal planning tool, I get consistent high-quality content. Compared to other low-carb lifestyle sites, membership on DD is an incredible value!
I have spent many hours watching all the videos with numerous medical and nutritional experts explaining how the ketogenic and low carb diets work. This information has allowed me to study, lean, think, question, and make up my own mind. This site is totally respectful of my intelligence. The meal plans have made a huge difference. Recipes are varied & delicious!
After 4 years on low-carb I've found Diet Doctor the best resource I've used and recommend it to everyone who asks me "What have you done - you're looking great!" But it's not just how I look, it's my state of health. I now have my blood glucose under control, no longer take a raft of medications and feel younger. I swear by many of the recipes (esp The Keto Bread Rolls and tortillas). The videos are informative and give a knowledge base that everyone who wants to be responsible for their own health can understand.
Best site on the net for information on how to become healthy. These guys provide what you need to know in a way that is easy to understand. I lost 35 kilos following dietdoctor.com. I've kept the weight off 3 years and counting.
Quick word to say thank you to the Diet Doctor team of super heroes. You're awesome! Your website has become my primary reference when it comes to Low-card, high-fat (LCHF) nutrition (yummy recipes!) and education (great articles and videos).
Keep up the great work! With gratitude, Martin
I was very interested in trying the Keto lifestyle but had failed several times until I found diet doctor! So much helpful information and yummy recipes! I read a few articles and found out why I failed and how to avoid feeling so bad during that first week. I never knew! Plus the recipe variety has helped keep me on track. Going strong 2.5 months in and I never felt better! I even joined and it was money well spent. I highly recommend this for beginners!

I was referred to this website and keto/low carb recipes by my doctor in Ottawa.
I'm over the moon! I love the choice of recipes on the site and fact that they are so simple and that I can choose whether to make 1, 2, 3, 4 etc portions. It makes it so simple. I've seen results in the first month -- 10 lbs gone I've re-started an exercise/personal training program as well. I feel so much better than the slug that I was. I have a preliminary target of Christmas and then see where I go from there. Your resources will get me there. Thank you so much...

Answer: Hi Guranda! Urinary bladder cancer needs conventional medical treatment, often including surgery. It can not be cured with a dietary change unfortunately. Discuss it with your doctor. Answer: This is a keto low-carb diet, similar in many ways to other strict low-carb diets. This is an approach that has been extensively tested in dozens of high-quality studies, that have shown that it results in more weight loss, less hunger, and potentially increased metabolic rate. At Diet Doctor, we work to make low carb simple. And everything you need is available for free, forever. Our premium services are also free for a month. Best, Andreas Eenfeldt, MD Founder and CEO Diet Doctor
Answer: $9 per month according to the site. Hope that helps.
Answer: Hi Deborah! We don't sell or recommend specific supplements. Our premium program is free to try out for a month, after that it's USD 9.99 per month or 99 dollars per year. Losing weight happen at individual speeds that can not be predicted in advance, but realistically and long term 1-2 pounds per week is a very good result for a sustainable and enjoyable plan. That would thus take around 30 months at that speed, and the total cost of using our program for those 2.5 years (after the free trial) would be 250 dollars on the monthly plan or somewhat cheaper on the yearly plan. Best, Andreas Eenfeldt

Hi Matt!
Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that you've experienced our site like that. We try to stay as objective and unbiased as we can, for example by not allowing ads, not selling products, having no affiliate collaborations and taking no industry money.
We do attempt to take health risks as seriously as we can. For example we have a section about known side effects of a low-carb diet, and how to handle them. We also try to make it clear who need to be careful when starting a low-carb or keto diet, who would need medical support, and what extra considerations are necessary in specific cases. See for example these pages:
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/side-effects
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/with-diabetes-medications
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/with-high-blood-pressure
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/when-breastfeeding
There are also many myths surrounding low-carb and keto diets, and we try to make it clear what health risks are supported by science, and which are not, or even disproven:
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/fears
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/science
We do not believe that low-carb or keto diets are the only way to improve health or to lose weight, there are clearly many other diet and lifestyle interventions that may be helpful, and in some situations more helpful. We try our best to make it clear in what situations it may be worth testing a low-carb or keto diet, when there is good support from scientific studies and extensive clinical experience to support its use:
https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb#benefits
I would be very happy if you could let us know specifically how we can improve, and what potential health risks you feel we may underestimate or that we need to improve our information about.
