The comforter itself is nice but they sent 2 sets of pillow cases one set was square and no idea what they are for have no pillows that fit them.my main problem is that this was a queen size comforter set, and i have a queen bed with queen size pillows. My pillows are 2 and a half feet long and the pillow cases are only 2 foot 1 inch so they are 5 inches too short for the pillows. I have talked to several people that have said this is a common problem with comfortor sets. You need to make queen size pillow cases that fit queen size pillows.not standard size pillows if its a queen size set. Or the appropriate size for larger sets.
Designer living used to be a good online site, but their services get worse day after day. They used to have a robot chat room gave you the same cold robot answers, but now, they don't ever bother to answer you any question. Before it took less than 24 hrs to ship out your item, but now, it takes almost 48 hrs. Before it took 1-2 day to refund the return item, but now, it takes more than 3 weeks- months. I am so sorry about this online site. I won't buy from this site again unless I have no other option.
I love Designer Living! Not only did they fix my order mistakes, they went above what I expected! This is uniquely my own experience so I can't vouch for anyone else... I placed an order and I botched it up, my brain not functioning and noone's fault but my own, but I also glitched up my shopping code... not only did Designer Living fix it all they did so cheerfully... they fixed my mistakes and I now have some lovely new house items and bedding... one of the pictures was too large to fit with my others, it was larger than I expected... I am impressed with the value of the order that I received... the pictures, both the Route 66 and the other one that I don't have a pic of, it's huge! Well, they are excellent, and heavy duty, ready to frame... not lightweight junk... nice, quality style items, and the bedding? Oh, I love my new moose flannel warm sheets and my new comforter set! They are so lovely and heavy duty. So, I can't vouch for anyone else, but my order was fantastic and worth every penny!
I wish I had read these reviews before placing an order with this company. The colors in the curtains were not as pictured. I returned them almost 2 months ago and still haven't received my refund. I'm wondering if I'll ever get my money back. I'll update this if I do, but I'm not optimistic.
I placed my ordered and received a call about mismatching billing and shipping addresses. While trying to verify this information, the agent Vanessa informed me that I should have stated it right away. I tried to explain that I have multiple residential addresses and need to ensure I provide the accurate one, she said she cannot accept my answer. She hung up before I was even able to express my frustration about such a poor customer service. Why even bother to be in business which such a nasty attitude.
I bought one chest on 14th aug and never received it. When I contacted their customer service and asked where my package was. They said it may of gotten lost in the UPS. When I contacted ups, ups told me they never received this package from the sender ( the sender only created a tracking number and never sent it to ups). So I asked for a replacement, they said all sold out. Then I asked for a refund, they said cannot refund me till the UPS investigation is complete! Will not buy from this company anymore!

A comforter I had purchased is advertised as 100% polyester, which is what I own currently (my material looks and feels like satin), however, what I received would best be described as some cheap, awful, course textured, swap meet grade, dress material! The picture & description they post is fake! If I took a picture of what I received, it would be impossible for it to look like the photo they post, even with trick photography! And if that wasn't bad enough, they DO NOT provide return postage, so I had to spend an ADDITIONAL $50, just to send it back (which is NOT reimbursed)! What a SCAM. I even reviewed them with this exact post and they replied stating, my review "did not meet criteria"... This is why you'll only see false positive reviews on their site, from fictitious customers! Needless to say, I will not be doing business here again.
I found this sitejabber accidentally. I was reading through the reviews and am dumbfounded by the bad experiences written here. I have bought many thousands of dollars of bedding and comforters from Designer Living without incident. They have lower prices than anyone else because they represent the maker of the brands shown on their website. I carefully shop their sales, picking up incredible deals for our hospital gift shop. Their shipping is incredibly fast and I have never had an order delayed or lost. I have also not needed to return anything, which is expensive, because I am sure of what I am buying before I order. I have also not experienced any order being out of stock after I had purchased it. On one occasion, an item was missing from an order. I called customer service and told them what was missing, they apologized, and sent the item, which arrived in 2 days. No questions asked. Designer Living has allowed our little rural gift shop to be able to offer our community name brand bedding at affordable prices. I am sorry everyone hasn't had our experience.
Please people do not shop here! I have had a very bad experience last Thursday (October 12,2017):
There was a sale for $7.99 blankets that I got an email from the company about, so I went to the site and tried to order them and the blankets were showing for more than $7.99 price. I did a chat with them and told them what was wrong and they told me the system or website needed to be update with the correct prices and to try back in two hours. I should have know then it would go down hill from there. I went back on and ordered when the prices changed, and then that was that. Then, about 30 minutes passed and I received an email stating that my order has been cancelled because the blankets sold out! I was like how can they be sold out when I made my order and they were available to be put in my cart and ordered? I was fuming and to top it all off, my credit card still is pending for the order they cancelled as of today, the 16th. They offered me 15% off my next order and I told them that is not doing me any good when I can't get the blankets I ordered. Please don't shop at this store, this whole experience was ridiculous and I will never shop here again!
I've ordered really nice comforter sets from Designer Living with no problems in the past. I recently moved into a new home and ordered counter stools. When I received them, they look like someone had splashed white paint on the brown wooden legs. I opted to return, understanding that I would have to pay for the shipping. It has now been 13 business days since they received my returned items and my return detail still states "return initiated." I chatted with a customer service rep last week who stated that returns can take anywhere between 10-15 business days. This is unheard of from any company I have returned items with. Additionally, this is not stated anywhere in the policy. I hate feeling like I have no control and will be given a generic answer.
I placed my order, and a hold in the amount of the entire order was placed on my card. I then received an email stating that only part of the order had been charged, and that I needed to call them to give a credit card number for the remainder or they would be re-routing my shipment back to their warehouse the next day. At this point, the full total was still pending as a charge on my card. I felt uncomfortable giving an additional credit card since it seemed like the full amount had been charged. I tried to explain this to Designer Living, but they were adamant that I had not been charged correctly, and quite frankly were rather rude about it. I asked them to cancel the order, credit my card in full, and re-route the shipments back to them. In the end, my card did indeed only get charged a portion of the order, and I ended up receiving one portion of the order. The customer service was so substandard that, while I'm not sure I was charged correctly, I'll just keep the curtains I received and call it a wash. I didn't want to send the order back and have to deal with them again. They won't receive any of my business in the future.
Purchased a new shower curtain from them on-line. I was notified via email that the item was no longer available 5 days later. This was unacceptable to me. After spending/wasting all my time and energy on their site, creating an account, going through my selection of shower curtains, and finally ordering. Good luck...
Seems to me people are fast to complain, but few actually file good reviews (thank you to those that do).
It seems to me the happy customers probably far out-weigh the unhappy ones and that is how this company stays in business.
I appreciated the reviewer who said they were glad they ignored the bad reviews and ordered anyway and was very happy - I'm ordering and I hope that I can write an equally good review.
Ordered a comforter and the color was off... talked with "No customer service" and they refused to pay the return shipping. They are sarcastic and never wrong. Paid $68 to ship the comforter back across the country to them. Now I'm waiting for the comforter reimbursement. I've never dealt with a more difficult vendor. A real mistake.
I ordered 2 dog beds that were much smaller than described. Although they charged me $5.95 for shipping TO me, I have to pay $14.50 for their "shipping label!. The weight of each box was 2 lbs. In addition you will wait a MONTH to get what's left of you money back. Hardly worth the effort to return. The person on the phone was very snippy and I guarantee I will NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN.
IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL CONSUMER LAW! Here's the Tome: MAY 28 I buy a patio bench cushion and Pouf hassock. ON AMAZON PRIME AT EXCESS PRICES FOR 2 day Shipping. DELIVERED JUN 7 - so not here for Memorial Day or multiple Graduations. AND they sent 2 pouf - no seat Cushion. Their Customer service is only available Monday-Friday. Amazon defers to 3rd party seller. Amazon returns for this vender only allow return and refund- not replacement. So Jun 13 Vendor replies to me, "Unfortunately, we can not ship out the replacement item not received until the wrong item is in possession with UPS. Once we have confirmed this item has been dropped off with UPS, I will enter a replacement order for item you did not receive." In violation of FEDERAL CONSUMER LAW-actually I am NOT obligated to return UNSOLICITED materials and THEY Are still required to FULFILL the sales contract. IN SUM OVERPRICED AND EXCEEDINGLY POOR SERVICE IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW.
I have ordered several comforter set's, sheet sets, blankets and even a chair for my living room. I have been so pleased with everything. The craftsmanship is beyond what I expected. I have ordered, humm, over 8 comforter sets and pleased with every one. When you can get a comforter set that retails for over 600 dollars for a little over 100 and it's a name brand, YEA, go for it. The Artology and Madison Park and Hampton Hill are the best to me. I give them upteen Star's! Thank's Desinger Living, oh and the Designer Dollar's, makes me keep buying!
I ordered from Designer Living before reading the reviews. I got so scared that my stuff was going to be all jacked up and that I would lose my $400 that I spent on a lot of stuff for my bedroom and bathroom.
When the boxes got there, I opened them and was very pleasantly surprised. My stuff was better that what I was expecting in the first place. Nothing was dirty, or torn. It was very neatly packaged. Everything was the right size and color.
I would definitely order from them again.
I saw online a bedspread/comforter from DesignerLivng that was on sale so I orderd it.
It is really a nice one that is quilted all over and also reversible. I am very happy. Some Cal. King sizes are small but not this one. It is really just perfect.
