When people come to the support team asking for a help of buying thing, and after they asked your username, they ridiculously closed their account. HELLO? Asking for A HELP not A TROUBLE. Sometimes I don't really know if the support team are really working with the brains. Users are the most important things for the app, otherwise how you earn the money? OH Yea, they earn the money from the fake items or fast fashion verified seller.

They are just horrible all around and you won't get $#*! for your sell! I hate to say it like that but if you expect to make more money this is NOT the app for u I RECOMMEND EBAY! They never fail me! It's like you're just giving your things away for free! It's ridiculous! The FEES ARE RIDICULOUS! Wish I could give negative zero stars! They dont deserve any stars!
STAY AWAY FROM DEPOP and use other established selling platforms. They randomly flag/ban people without providing a reason, regardless of whether you have a pending sale. They say that they will delete your account upon request but will refuse to do so but will refuse to do so when asked and retain your personal data indefinitely. Be cautious before providing your personal data and bank account to them. Also, their help desk is a joke and offensive.
A regular seller and buyer on the app for years - until recently my account was suspended by Depop help assistant Kristen.
I had recently purchased an item which unfortunately was too small - I then immediately relisted the item acknowledging/referencing the original seller (they were in my possession in the exact condition)- - They were boots photographed on a wooden floor nothing extradorinairy! This resulted in my account closure. Never again!

I have a very small shop on Depop- its been amazing to offload some things I dont use anymore (or never have for some things) - payment is through paypal or depop itself, either way your covered if the item is faulty, not as described, counterfiet ect. While Ive had two bad experiences with fake disigner products from two seperate people I have gotten my money back despite it being a bit of a pain (but hey compared to what I've gone through with house of CB its peanuts) - what I LOVE about Depop is the positive attitude of 99% of the shop owners. Everyone is so polite, patient and positive. Yes I may have brought the most cheapest fake "Gucci SoHo disco bag" that ever was made but I've also had some family issues that have prevented me from shipping my sold items as quick as I would like but everyone is so understanding and lovely. Its encouraged to leave positive feedback and unless you have really had a bad experience you'd be hard pressed to do so. I love this platform tbh
I myself and many sellers have gotten suspended/banned without a reason/without a good reason! They'll literally ban and/or suspend your account for anything even as small as "mis using hashtags" you cant even use a hashtag that relates to your item (like sisterbrands) nor do they allow an appeal to bans. Suspensions can last up to month, they literally expect you to beg on your knees for forgiveness. Many people have gotten banned without warning—they'll say they give you a warning but don't even wait 5 minutes before banning you permanently without letting you appeal. Customer service is literal garbage as well, the app is littered with scammers, bots, dropshippers, and predators.
Depop claims to be environmentally friendly and sustainable yet allows aliexpress dropshippers… that should speak for itself. Please be aware and choose a better resell app, there's so many! Depop is a money hungry capitalist pig. Just wanted to warn sellers before they decide to sell here!
I have been selling on Depop for a few years now. And recently my account has received several messages & emails from Team Depop support warning me about EXTREMELY FALSE accusations saying I'm doing things I have never done. And now they're threatening to close my account saying this is my final warning, but I didn't do any of the things they're claiming. I'm not a top seller and my account is smaller than most, I have 4,000 followers & over 130 sells & I have maintained 5 star reviews & (1) 4star. So I'm really confused about what's going on. I don't make a whole lot but the money I make does help especially during this pandemic so this is all quite disheartening. Super unprofessional, & unfair behavior from Team Depop
I keep trying to sign up for depop and it says my number is invalid or some bull like that and when it decides to work it doesnt even send the verif code! I also bought a pair of jeans and never received it screw u depop kisss my a**
It was awesome, until they wanted all my PayPal info. And with no explanation, I was charged again and again. READ THE FINE PRINT! I'll happily take the 20% from eBay, mercari, etsy, etc. Sucks but atleast more trustworthy.
I've made multiple purchases through depop in the last couple years. The sellers I've dealt with have been great. Usually communicate well after making purchases. Recently just bought 3 items from 3 different sellers. Went to log on a few days later and depop claims I went against their guidelines. I need you to RELEASE my funds. Its MY money, the buyer has bought my item and is enjoying it, you have taken your extortionate cut of proceeds and are enjoying it, why am I, the one that has actually parted with goods and put in all the work to sell it, the one who has nothing. I need you to STOP holding MY money and release it immediately. I am not prepared to wait 2 weeks after selling to recieve my money. Where in the real world does that happen?!
Everybody should take some risk in business for reward, buyers, sellers and everyone in between. You cant absolve yourself from risk at my expense while purporting to offer users protection and charging people for that. People need their funds immediately to pay P&P, to buy new stock or just to live!

First of all, I couldn't even create an account because there was some error with the website. Then, when I finally lowered it enough to sell brand new shoes for $25, depop ended taking $10 of that. Then, I was having problems with shipping so I ended up making two different labels because the shipping process was so cauotic. DEPOP CHARGED ME ANOTHER $10 and little do they tell you since paypal collaborates with depop with shipping, paypal ends up taking a $1. I ended up losing money instead of gaining anything! Wish I never spent the hours trying to desperately figure out this website. I came here originally so angry at poshmark for their inability to do things right also, but this was much worse.
Worst experience ever, an account was agressive and ask me to sell her a dress for free, she became nasty and make me look like a stupid personn, I tell her nicely I am going to check tomorrow how much is the postage and she continue being agressive. The next day she told me she don't want it and ask me to refund. I tell her yes and she open a case on PayPal saying I don't want to refund her and I have not send her the dress and starting to make me look like a stupid girl. After telling her that she is a kid depop block my account for a week!

I wish I would have read the other bad reviews before ordering. Seller never communicated or shipped item. I'm wondering if it was a scam. I had to call paypal to get a refund.
Someone calling herself Princess, obviously with delusions of grandeur, said I'd got multiple Depop accounts and closed my account. They admitted it was untrue but still have not reinstated my account AND MONEY IS MISSING! Terrible reviews on Twitter and Trust pilot, people are fuming. Depop act like children having tantrums with no Management control.
The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. They banned me by mistake and refused to fix it. When u email them they just copy and paste responses
I am a successful seller on on Poshmark, Mercari and Curtsy app. My daughter wanted to try to sell on Depop. She set up her account, verified her PayPal and listed a few items. After one item sold, she was unable to generate a shipping label. We tried everything, including going to Depop Facebook message board and contacting Depop customer service by email. Meanwhile we had no answer for the buyer since we could not get an answer from customer service or help through the message board. After two days we messaged the buyer to look us up on another app and buy it there. Usually just mentioning another platform or taking a sale off platform Will get you banned or at least a warning. At this point we didn't even care. It has been over five days without an answer from Depop. I'm sure, once they get to her email, they will see the communication. Who knows, maybe in two months? I can't even imagine what would happen if you would receive an item that is not as described and there is no way you can a hold of anybody and your money gone. Or you make a nice sale and I have to cancel it because Depop customer service cannot help you at all! TERRIBLE! It's also very confusing, as the information how do use the app jump back-and-forth or include information for the website in Great Britain.
I opened an account in the early days of its setup and bought over 100 items for my daughters without any issues. I decided to sell on here a couple of years ago and was great to start with but recently it has gone to pot. They suspend your account Willy nilly and even if you are correct they just act like they are doing you a favour and letting you off with a 3 week suspension. It doesn't matter how much you report someone for selling fakes they don't do anything. Another site I sell on encourage stock photos when items are new but on depop they close your account. I accused them of being ageist as I used a model photo and they encourage you modelling your own. I cannot model them as most are kids and very small sizes. I once used my daughter to model some but just kept getting gross messages from 'boys'. I mentioned to one lad that I was in my fifties and it is my daughter and he just told me to tell her she has a fit body. I quickly removed all photos of her. Out of probably 50 accepted offers I would say 2 have paid so that feature is pretty pointless, and don't get me started on the idiots who offer 10% of the asking price. It could be such a great site if they stopped favouring the big volume sellers of tat and focused more on the small sellers of quality. Answer: Major scam. And not worth the fees they will charge you to sell. Rubbish and rude customer service, and the people buying off you will try to scam you by lieing to Depop and PayPal saying they never received the item. But when you track the tracking number they've signed for the item themselves!
Answer: An apparent availability of items that were not available elsewhere. Turns out that the reason that they were available is that they were fakes and frauds.
Answer: It might be a scam honestly, i would say open a dispute with them. Mercari is a lot better btw, way cheaper. Mercari also holds the money until your item is delivered and you inspect and review the item.

Jerks banned my account and I've never had any bad reviews and nothing but positive sales but they will continue to allow scammers to steal your stuff and still haven't seen any of my payments from items I sold since they stopped my account. They said today I should get my money by 7/9/2023 it's 9/6/2023. So apparently they don't even know what month we are in right now. Idiots
