I am a successful seller on on Poshmark, Mercari and Curtsy app. My daughter wanted to try to sell on Depop. She set up her account, verified her PayPal and listed a few items. After one item sold, she was unable to generate a shipping label. We tried everything, including going to Depop Facebook message board and contacting Depop customer service by email. Meanwhile we had no answer for the buyer since we could not get an answer from customer service or help through the message board. After two days we messaged the buyer to look us up on another app and buy it there. Usually just mentioning another platform or taking a sale off platform Will get you banned or at least a warning. At this point we didn't even care. It has been over five days without an answer from Depop. I'm sure, once they get to her email, they will see the communication. Who knows, maybe in two months? I can't even imagine what would happen if you would receive an item that is not as described and there is no way you can a hold of anybody and your money gone. Or you make a nice sale and I have to cancel it because Depop customer service cannot help you at all! TERRIBLE! It's also very confusing, as the information how do use the app jump back-and-forth or include information for the website in Great Britain.

Tip for consumers:

Been a member since 1995 as a buyer. Really have not any bad experiences with 100s of transactions. Sellers usually are easy to deal with and pricing is great.

They don't pay squat but I knew that and that's not my issue. I like the easy scanning and prepaid shipping labels.
Send 2 orders of cd and books. Didn't get paid as promised, some deductions and it took like 15 days.
Send order number 3: Xbox games and 10 pounds of clean LEGO. Took many days past the actual receipt of shipment to get a confirmation email from Decluttr. The email stated they would inspect the merchandise and then issue payment. So I waited, went on vacation, still waited and heard nothing. I sent an inquiry through the website and Twitter and heard nothing. I send a second email and got a response saying my order was incomplete- the LEGO is missing! I then asked decluttr to open a claim with UPS. No response, so I went to Facebook and read a post of a very dissatisfied customer, he recommended contacting the Better Business Bureau. I went to the Better Business Bureau website in Atlanta and discovered I wasn't the only one got scammed out of several pounds of Legos then mysteriously went poof. I send a direct message on Facebook asking for resolution and I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Within one day they had found my LEGO and they paid me, almost in full. The BBB really does work and most of the cases get resolved. It's a shame it has to be like that. Decluttr makes plenty of money selling on eBay so no need to scam people.

A while ago I ordered two items. Both from Lovestich One was Lovestitch the other turned out to be J Crew. I kept both items but that is just plain sloppy. I also had ordered a clean out bag to possibly send them some clothes. It has been 10 days and I have received nothing! They can't even send those out in a timely manner. The problem is that they have huge inventories and the warehouse people are not happy/underpaid/get fired for minor infractions. They also have to process the incoming items in a rigid time frame so I bet they cannot spend a lot of time evaluating and getting the prices right. Also, if you look on Glasshouse.com, the ex-employees even say that ThredUp policy is to give the seller "almost nothing" and lots of constant talk about performance metrics and social media metrics. Part of the problem also seems the customer service people feel underappreciated and overlooked. That explains the lack of resolving issues or even responding. This SF company also does not connect with their employees outside of the Bay Area. This company is huge and they aren't even trying to manage their social media reputation nor are they taking steps to improve the ways they do business. The concept behind ThredUp seems good - but these extremely low pay outs are borderline scam. Don't fall for it if you are a seller.

Tilly's customer service is the absolute WORST in the apparel industry. First, they hardly ever pick up the customer service line. Monday morning or Friday afternoon you get the same lies "We are experiencing a heavy call volume". Hire more people and fix your problem!

I had an employee place an order in store July 14,10 miles from their warehouse. Got confirmation, then a second email on July 15: There are inconsistencies with the information you entered during check out. (Remember, I didn't enter anything, store employee did). I call, and wait, and wait, nobody picks up. I send an email explaining. Their response, please call our 800 line. The one that they make you wait for how long? I call back at 8 AM and yes, heavy call volume. I wait and wait, finally 32 minutes a CS rep tells me she sees nothing wrong with the order. "I will send it to shipping". Today, over 4 days after ordering, the order is still "processing". My emails have been ignored.
I was so mad, I cancelled the order. Next time I am going to HSS or Jacks or some other surf shop or order directly from Quiksilver or Roxy because their CS is awesome and they offer free shipping. Done with Tillys for good.
