BEWARE!
June 13, 2014

BEWARE! On the top of the site it says FREE RETURNS to ANY store but there's a catch. Isn't there always? You can only make a return to the store for free if you paid with a debit or credit card. It doesn't tell you until you have already received your purchases that if you paid with paypal you can NOT return to the store unless you want a store credit. If you want to make a return by mail be prepared to pay shipping costs. So I made a report to the BBB and they sent me a free shipping label, great, sent back the return now i'm waiting on a refund. So I call in and they tell me my refund was DENIED? Waiting on a representative to call me back to see why. At this point I am fuming! NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN! I'd rather go to a higher end store and not be put through the lies and the hassle.

I order online a 4 dresses here at debshops.com. I gave my correct home address. I order, monday, then i receive the confirmation and tracking number, it said expected date will be saturday but i dont receive any package saturday. I check the tracking number they move the delivery to tuesday so its ok to me because i need it wednesday but when im waiting on tuesday, no package arrive. It said on my tacking number is undeliverable as addressed and i called the local post office they said that i have to contact the sender. So i contact the customer service of debshops.com, they said i can refund my money when they receive the package back. I was like, wth! They dont even explain why it happened like that, i gave my correct address. And i always shop online from other website, but i receive my dress in a right time. Then i try debshop to order but this what happened. I hope they have to check always the home address of the receiver before they send it. Because now, i dont have a dress to wear for the occasion where i going to attend because they messed up my address. Never shop online from them again! Never!

I recently went to the Deb in worcester, ma. NEVER AGAIN. What a saddd excuse for a store. The associates there are rude and ignorant. I bought an 85 dollar dress that I was going to wear to my cousin's upvoming wedding. I brought it home, tried it on at home and it was too snug under the bust, I was afraid I would rip it. So i put it away and drove all the way back (i live 35 mins away) and when I went to the counter to return it (with my receipt and tags still attached.) They told me that the dress had been worn and theu couldnt take it back because there was "deoderant" stain on it. The dress was black on the inside so obviously anyone who tried the dress on would get deoderant on it. You could HARDLY see it. Like I literally had to hold the dress under a light to see it. After arguing with THREE clearly ignorant associates, I got my refund. During which the manager blatantly tried to call me a liar in front of all of the store and my 3 year old son. Safe to say that I will NEVER waste my time in such a sad excuse for a store. Ive worked in retail for 12 years and wouldnt dream of treating my customers this way
Pathetic. I dont know how they are still in business.

I have been a customer for Debs for years now. Probably close to 10 years. When I first started going to their store (long before the site ever existed) their clothes were pretty average and I still have clothes from them that are worth wearing. The clothes I have recently bought from them now are unwearable. The sleeves are too tight for the sizing and I bought a pair of jeans online, tried them on and the BUTTON fell off. No pressure, nothing. Literally as soon as I pulled them up, the button fell off - broken. So I bagged them up and shipped them right back. I have bought several shirts there that are flimsy and have ripped with ease. Most of the clothes I have purchased there in the past 2-3 years have been cheaply made. A brand new pair of jeans I had bought in November, the zipper burst on it and I will probably have to sew a new one on them to fix it. Dont get me wrong, the pants fit perfectly, weren't snug at all, they are just cheaply made. Other shorts I have bought there that have had pre-made holes in them have ripped further out. It's ridiculous. I probably won't be doing business with them much longer. Tip to DebsShops: investe in your clothing line. QUIT BEING CHEAP. Beware.

I enjoy shopping at DEBS, I would go to the one in Peoria, IL all of the time. The employees there were nice and weren't in your business when you shopped.
I now live in Springfield, IL and the DEBS customer service here has gone downhill. Like I said, I enjoy shopping here and I actually found a pair of shoes for only $8! I found other accessories for $2 including a necklace and a pair of sunglasses. I wanted to pay for the accessories separately because I knew I had more money in a different account. I asked to do so but she didn't cancel the transaction, I just paid for transaction using two debit cards. Which I've never done before so I was confused. I believe she was in too much of a hurry to ring me up to get done with the other job she needed to do like hanging up new inventory. The sunglasses rang up as 5.99 when they were on the $2 rack (ALL clearance was marked down so I made sure). I'm not the kind of person that tries to get something marked down when it's not on sale... I was given a rude attitude about my transactions and that the sunglasses were ringing up wrong. I apologized about the sunglasses even though it was not my fault and I never received an apology or a response back. I also waited in line for a while, while another sales associates "cleaned" up the register counter, never made eye contact with me, and never asked if I needed anything or if I needed to be rang up. Really? It was all very rude and I felt discriminated against even though I am a white female student. I am not rich, I only wanted to buy items for my birthday and I was treated very poorly. They should not have judged me so quickly. I was never greeted at the door either...
(I work in retail so I know how one should treat a customer)
I would have said something to the manager but the person ringing me up was actually the manager...
