Had a 6 p appointment and front desk clerk was rude and rolled her eyes at the party. Ask to try on bridesmaids dresses and was told need come back. The lady that help with bride dresses did not help zip and button or even use clips. I would not never give them a penny for any dress in that store due to poor and rude service. Suppose to be a fun day for the party and ended up the worse day!
Initially staff was attentive and helpful, once the purchase was made everything changed. Wedding dress was ordered two sizes smaller than it was supposed to be. Measurements were not correct (verified when seamstress double checked them). When dress was tried on it was too small because they had ordered the wrong size, unable to get another size in time. Then the alterations were over 500 dollars and a sloppy job. 2 if the bustle loops came out forcing bride to use safety pins to bustle dress. There were 2 straight pins left in dress. Back zipper was not altered as they said it would be. We were rushed during alterations. There was no privacy either when initially buying the dress and when the alterations were being made. It seems once the purchase was made there was no concerns for the customer.
Another dress was purchased (MIL), wrong size ordered, again too small. Not able to get same dress delivered in time. 2nd dress had to be purchased, new shoes, new purse, only store credit even though it was their error. Again the initial measurements were incorrect when checked by the seamstress.
The entire experience was "painful" and so stressful. This is not how a bride or anyone should be treated. The fact that we spent 3,000 dollars for this was a disgrace. Will never recommend their services to anyone.
My visit to David's Bridal was a treat. Brandy was such a wonderful help to the bride to be and me a brides maid. She picked dresses that would flatter my full figure and made this day very easy, memorable and exciting. I'm so happy for my friend who said yes to her dress that Brandy picked just for her. We both left feeling happy and blessed with the choices we've made because of the help, patience and kinds displayed by Brandy.
I bought my dress for my son's wedding form David's Bridal which was great and reasonable. I needed alterations so scheduled an appointment. What they failed to share at the time of the scheduling is that it was going to cost $275.00! That's almost double the price of the dress. This is totally wrong and a huge disappointment especially since I bought the dress from them!
So I went in with a certain dress in mind, upon arrival I was greeted by nice clerks. I was asked to pick 3 dresses to try on at a time and hated the way they all looked. My representative Ana found me a dress that I would normally never even see twice, hesitant I tried it on... I loved it! Thanks Ana for helping me find my wedding dress.
Where to begin... despite an empty store, the sales associate hurried me through my appointment, scoffed that I had a few designs I wanted to try on in person, and generally was unhelpful throughout my appointment. Then, I never received any notification that my dress was ready (were dresses still being made during the pandemic? Did I have to wait longer to receive them?) Then, I got a text message months later telling me the dress I had paid for had been at the store too long. It was now considered abandoned, couldn't be refunded, and would be thrown out unless I called this number. I did, but no one answered and the machine hung up on me. Still don't have my dress, but will absolutely never shop from here again! Go literally anywhere else, you could not pick a worse place than this.
What's sad is that I had ordered a dress from there and had to cancel my wedding due to this unfortunate situation (which is already stressful enough) right after ordering the dress.
The dress wasn't even shipped yet to the store, on my receipt it states you have 14 days to return/refund dress once receiving...
All of a sudden they told me their policy had to change so they can stay in business...
But they are more then happy to screw us brides over in the process... they had no sympathy what so ever...
(yet my receipt states the policy that I agreed to at the time of purchase)
Not only is this illegal but it's just cruel
I bought my mother-of-the bride's dress at David's Bridal in Va Beach, Va. It cost as much for several simple, straight line alterations as I paid for the dress. The ticket was marked 'difficult' because the dress has some sequins? I would hope that a bridal/occasion store be familiar working with dresses with sequins. After I dressed and paid the ticket, I was told that they needed to get my measurements. I asked why do it then - was told that they were needed for their records. Don't get alterations done at David's.
I will never come here again. I made an attempt to find my wedding dress here and was not allowed to browse the dresses because I didn't have an "appointment". Ha! Very rude staff, snotty, and not helpful. Oh well, what a wasted trip. I was willing to spend upwards of $1000 on a dress, so their loss not mine.
So so disappointed tonight. Went with my daughter for the 2nd fitting and found a hole in the dress which had nor been there at the 1st fitting. The alterations are so bad, dress is uneven, the lower part of the dress just look so bad. Complained showed everything that was wrong with the dress. Don't think they even worried about it. Manager did not seems to care to much. It looks like a 6 year old made the alterations. Now have to go back tomorrow again. My daughter cried so much in the car over her dress. Only have 5 weeks till my daughter's wedding
I was extremely surprised with a beautiful layout of David's Bridal. Beautiful young lady that assisted me seemed to know exactly what I wanted found the right size and style and within four dresses I made my final selection. I couldn't be happier
I found my Vera Wang wedding dress searching this site. They have a generous selection of gowns. If you are just looking for ideas, it is a great place to browse. I like looking at all the pictures of models wearing the dresses. It gives me a better idea of what the dress will look like. I am very happy with the dress I purchased, and I am just excited to wear it for my wedding.
I sit here this morning a very happy bride. Thanks to the Professional alteration

I took my granddaughter to David's Bridal 5779 S. Hiway 40 in Terre Haute, In. To look for a homecoming dress. Danielle, Sarah and Janet made this one of the best shopping experience I have ever had. They were enthusiastic about helping her find the perfect dress. She is not a small size which could have made this a negative experience but because of these ladies she left the store feeling beautiful and excited about her dress and accessories {which they helped with also}. The consultant ordered the wrong size. We tried after fitting to get them to order correct size. They wouldn't do it. Spent over 3000. 00 in this store. What a rip off. They wouldn't correct the problem to keep the customer happy. Never pay in full don't even put a 1.00 down until you have the finished product. We went to pick up final still not right and still doesn't have skirt sewn up. Disgusted and would never want anyone to use David's ripoff bridal.
Sharise Lyman is an excellent manager. She helped my sister find her dream shoes and bridesmaids dresses and also helped me process returns in a timely and organized manner. We really appreciated David's Bridal's quality service and selection.
I feel really sad for all the soon to be brides. This is supposed to be the dream destination for every woman. They pretend to help you find that one dress and then YOU DO. There's all kinds of extra fees and more stuff to sell you. Just please know you have other options.
I paid 1250 dollars for my wedding dress and 350 dollars for alterations. In return I got a wedding dress that was made too short because the skirt was torn and an e-mail saying that they are sorry which I of course do not believe since they did not do anything about it. Here is in short: David's Bridal is into your money ( make no mistake they will charge you with extreme amounts for anything no matter how small it is, even for the bag they put the dress in) but they DON'T care about your happiness or satisfaction whatsoever!
I have been waiting for a refund for over a month. In the past two weeks, I have called and texted many customer service representatives and no one can figure out to get me my refund. All I get is passed on to the next person. I would not recommend them as far as online purchasing.
Being the mother of the groom, I went to David Bridal to try on dresses. I found a dress too small fir my size but put it on without the zipper. The fitter gave me the invoice number and told me to order the dress in my size online. I received my dress in 5 days and it looks great. So happy with the purchase.
