Well I saw an ad for dating.com sandwiched in a news article I was reading. It featured a photo of a breathtakingly beautiful mature female. I was hooked instantly. Now one week and about $500 later I've realized that it is one of the slickest rackets I've ever seen. The "female members" that stroke your ego with flattering messages within 5 minutes of creating your profile are actually 1-900 (if anyone remembers those days) sales agents that are reeling you in to the tune of about $300 USD an hour with their chat credit system. Don't honestly know if they were even female. They also try to up sell you on emojis that you are supposed to buy to show your interest in them costing between several hundred USD and several thousand dollars USD each. Hate to break it to you fellas but, Marina, Jessica and whoever else you're talking to has no interest or intention of connecting with you on any level whatsoever. I indicated that I was interested in females aged 50 to 60 and was bombarded with chat offers from 60 year old women that looked like college students...1st red flag. Kinda wonder now why I wasn't able to connect with at least one of the real females that have complained about the site. Mad respect for the people that made this racket happen...have to give credit where credit is due. Wondering which hell hole? (Nigeria, India, Russia, China etc) these "members"were operating from. One dude operating 3 or 4 chat lines at once x 10 = cash cow. Good one fellas you had me going there for a minute.Would give 5 stars for its diabolical creativity but zero for ethics.
This whole website is a scam, it takes your money and gives you fake profiles. You have to spend a ton of money just to send messages to people, but every profile that messages you IS A BOT. They send you tons of messages to get you talking so you spend money. It is a complete scam; all of the verified and featured user profiles are bots and use stolen photos. Do not use this website and do not let your older relatives use this website for dating, they will not realize it's a scam and waste their money. Not only are most of the 'hot' profiles bots but the other real profiles are weird and creepy.

The man in these photos is a model and a fake. He has mention that this is an "investment " for me and suggested that I pay for an engagement ring for him but yet doesn't give his contact details or vomit to actually meeting. I made it clear that I'm not in employment yet the site continues to clutter my email with fake profiles who just want to waste my time making empty promises but don't actually meet up. The opening text says it's free. You can send a few messages. Then you're asked for money. You can't do anything without paying. If you then pay, you find out that the messages are computer generated. None of the men I wrote to were willing to contact me in any other way. They wanted to persuade me to stay on the site. I think these guys get money from Dating.com so that you stay and pay as long as possible. No luck. Just like on many other sites that want to squeeze the last bit out of lonely people. When I joined/paid - thanks to 23.99 euros, any msg I replied to, quickly took all the 'credits' I purchased. Be aware if you want to read emails or msg or open emails/chat/pictures etc. they have a 'virtual cost' - read the small print as any 'gift' or msg comes with this cost. It is a waste of money and I am personally asking for a refund RIP OFF. Shame on you Dating.com, for profiting off people's emotions. Horrible experience.
