It's a joke. They bombard you with emails claiming someone added you as their favorite and choose your matches for you. When you become a member, there's a concierge waiting for you in the chat. They constantly send emails to lure you in. They have virtual gifts close to the chat, so if you accidentally send one, you have to pay. Who in their right mind would pay $600 for a virtual watch? They charge you for credits and bombard you with emails that you can't open unless you pay. Everything is virtual, not real. They promise to meet but never do. My friends have all experienced the same. It's not a coincidence; it's a scam. They have a virtual room that free members push you to enter to deceive you into paying. One of my friends received an inappropriate picture ( show his penis) from a popular member, This despicable man Rodrigo has the audacity to display images of guns to others. He deceives women in relationships, while the website pretends not to see and even rewards him for attracting more users. Disgusting. And they did nothing about it. They are heartless. I wonder how they'd feel if their family members were scammed. They are monsters, and we need to shut down their operations. I won't stop until justice is served. I was never a fan of dating sites and I usually am a precautious person who researches everything before making any purchase. After having the account for a while but not being active, a member, the account of a "lawyer" from Panama got my attention. My biggest mistake was that I didn't read the policy of this site and had no idea what a popular member means. If I would have known that all these popular members use the app for free and we (the normal members) have to buy expensive credits to chat with them, I would have never fell into this dangerous trap that cost my nerves, a huge amount of money and a guilty feeling for being naive. The man Edward, age 36 said to me from the beginning that he has a beautiful house in Venezuela, that got my attention because his location was Panama but I never asked as I thought that maybe he is a venezuelan working abroad. The man seemed to have the same moral values as I have which was the most important thing for me and we had a mutual passion for watching the same stuff. He said he has no social media and you can see the man's Instagram page. The first red flag was when he made up a story for not sharing another medium of communication, I never believed his excuse but thought he might have other reasons for not wanting to talk outside the dating app. I even broke the contract with him but this type of persons are professional in lying and manipulating people and I started to chat with him again with the condition that we talk outside dating.com. The man asked me for my whatsapp and he has saved my phone number in the same day I wrote it down the dating chat. A few days after, I was shocked to see pictures with him and a little girl, the idiot posted as whatsapp status. Of course he denied this even making me feel guilty because I suspected him being capable of lying, claiming he is in a road trip with his best friend and the child is his friend's child. We continued to chat on WhatsApp but with less sweet words that he was using on the dating site until, after 10 days, he blocked me and wrote on the dating site chat that his phone was stolen. After 3 weeks of him claiming he still doesn't have a new phone, I realized he is a scam artist and everything was a big fake. I investigated dating.com and the man from the pictures and found out that this "popular" membership is a scam scheme pulled by the workers of this site with the help of losers who agree to be part of this scam. The lawyer Edward is actually a person called Rafael Eduardo Tovar Lehmann as you can see from the screenshots and I was shocked to find out that he has an influent, rich family and he runs his family's businesses in Venezuela. Of course he is married but out of consideration for his wife I won't post the picture that I have with them from their wedding day. This man has no morality, no empathy, no consideration for other's feelings, the main characteristics of a psychopath. He can be very charismatic and uses beautiful words but changes his attitude at 360 degrees and throws you in the trash without any remorse. And like any other psychopath and pathological liar he denies his awful actions. His level of immorality is unbelievable and makes me sick. This person is a danger for the society and I believe he has serious mental issues as he didn't need money and obvious money is not the only reason for his shameless, dark behavior. I have a lawyer and I won't stop until I gain a legal battle against this scam dating site.

I found myself direct to the site from Tik Tok. I have been on other dating sites before. There are always scammers. I thought with the Credit structure there would be less of that activity. As soon as I joined I received a lot of emails and chat requests. When you first start you're trying to learn your way around. The initial 120 credits (sign up promo) was blown by opening emails and responding. At 10 a pc you find yourself down quickly. God forbid you opened a few pictures (15 credits) they send you in chat. Chats I found lasted longer at 1 credit a minute (depending on how fast you type).I joined on a Monday. By Thursday I had already spent $800. I had already been dragged thru conversations where there were discrepancies and style of communication so I would end it. I eventually come across one guy, naturally not located in the USA. We hit it off but my concern about the mounting cost of credits was putting me off. I explained it to him. I was also a bit apprehensive that he too may be wasting my time. I point out that any mobile - saavy people that download this app are not told of the higher packages available on the website version. I only found that out when I decided to charge my phone and switch to my laptop. The website was a different layout. More options available - I was extremely annoyed felt I had wasted valuable time and money at this point. I asked that we exchange audio/video clips stating who we were and time/date to show we were both real. I kept stating my concern about paying to speak but he wanted to make sure we established a base and "build some trust" which I reluctantly agreed to only after sending the videos. I said my name date and time even addressing him by name. He sent one but in Portuguese (we had conversed in english and spanish both of which I speak). Having the higher credit option packages I did buy (2) 1000 credit packages (cheaper than the 150 credit packages only available on your phone). After a week of constant chats I think the longest was 7-8 hrs (it was the weekend) plus cute emails (he kept them down knowing I wasn't thrilled about that cost - didn't stop him from sending multiple pictures though - sometimes I didn't open them) msgs during the day like people getting to know each other do, a few pictures in emails. I suggested once again we take it offline and continue going forward as it seem to have a lot of promise. All of the sudden I'm rushing it, I should be willing to stay on the app etc. I re-stated that being in 2 different countries I didn't really see the "danger" in actually speaking via audio/video and exchanging info in order to hear each others' voices. He continued to insist we should stay on the app in order to build the relationship and trust. Why would I continue to do this having already given a week of solid conversation - might I add I have never done this much texting on other sites. Trust is now out the window. His insistence to stay there on the site stating we should continue building trust was contradictory to communicating on different levels like any normal budding relationship, so I wished him luck nicely (no need to be rude) and cut it off blocking him from further contact. I want to add that early on I encountered the same type statement from a few others all ready to chat but never go offline which was weird. I contacted Customer Service via email and requested the cancellation of the account. I did get a pretty quick response. I also explained why (the credits mobile vs website because I feel I overpaid big time and since they asked). I still had less than 400 credits so I will chat pleasantly with guys around the world who really have no interest in an actual relationship and are not even in my age range because they don't stop contacting you. When the credits are gone so will my account. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME MORE IMPORTANTLY YOUR MONEY! I realized the site was very costly, but ok, i gave it a try... I spoke to few people. But one profile was crazily insistent to talk to me, writing me every day... On the 21. September 2021 we started communicating... His name on the profile was ROBERT, 34... Living in Los Angeles...

I got many videos of the person, referring to me. Many voice messages... All the letters, texts we shared... I believed we developed feelings for one another, so did he(i have proof too)... I have to point out there was talks about him coming here... My family got envolved. My son knew about him, my mum/... He knew that... ((... After 7,8 months of communication here i asked him to do a video call or exchange numbers, he always found excuses((i became suspicious and i did an image search on Google... Thats was the begging of the End. (this is now in may 2022)... Robert is a well known Brazilian model(he didn't lie about that)... His name is Gilberto Fritsch... He ruthlessly lied about living in LA, he lives in Sao Paolo, works for a modelling agency Megamodel Brasil... But that wasn't what trigged my turmoil, despair, sickness... He has an opened Instagram profile. I went through it. I saw many comments, one in particular raised my suspicions... It was his GIRLFRIEND, also from Sao Paolo... I obviously confronted him about it, he said he pretends to be her boyfriend, that she is a childhood friend... That she had a stalker?! ((of course thats not true... We kept communicating, it was awful for me... At one point i was so sick i ended up in ER... He blocked me from his Instagram profile... Of course i have 2 profiles, so its not a problem... I cant explain to u what i kept seeing, all connected profiles there, their friends, him, her, i kept track of all of it... I have it all documented... Basically to cut it short, up to today im not sure if thats Gilberto behind this profile, but he is envolved, he sent me plenty of videos, referring to me with my name...
In the past 2 months he became cold towards me, i was desperate... I cant explain to anyone what im going through... He of course left me around 10 days ago, after he found out i reported him to this site.
Now, the site has been investigating!? For more than two weeks, ignoring to solve this. He is still on the site, ruthlessly lying to more women...!?
Im aware this is all a scam, i was conned in the most CRUEL MANNER POSSIBLE. HE RUINED my Life. My Health.

There are Two Sister Sites, both of which I was a paying member of, both of which are scams!

Dating.com and Datemyage.com = BAD NEWS!

They charge outrageous prices, at least for the men, on this website. They have "planted" women who will keep you on chat for days at a time and tell you everything you want to hear. They are very good and very manipulative. It's easy to fall under their "spell."

It doesn't matter how old you are or what you look or act like, these scammers will use you for all your worth! I have shown 3 of them below and my receipt for purchase. Despite the company having a New York City address, you get billed a $25 International Transaction Fee. So, for 1000 credits on here you're paying $425. Some of the "presents" you can send and that they will ask for, will use up your entire membership!

I have NO idea why the BBB has let this company have this kind of fraud scheme going on, but it happens to hundreds of men each day. If you thought Chat Bots were bad, get ready to have your wallet downsized BIG time!

This Dating.com is rated a 1.1 by the BBB -- NICE Rating boys and girls! They also have a "sister site" called Datemyage.com -- they are owned and run by the same people, and are based in Nicosia, Cypress!

One of the many beautiful ladies online explained how it all works. The woman pay absolutely NOTHING to be on this dating.com. The men are "suckered" in by the women who lead them on with compliments and suggestive photos (!) and remarks. Eventually, the lady will ask for a "virtual prize" of a certain item, say a crown for the lady's head for example. That crown will cost you 450 credits, or about $300 USD. You buy the crown for your lady, and then she in turn can turn that in for cash money or about $300 bucks! This is the incentive for them to play the game on the poor unsuspecting men.

Here's what happened to me. I bought a top of the line prize, a "castle" for one lady. That was 750 credits, the rough equivalent of $600 USD. Little did I realize at that time, she later turned that into $600 cash in her pocket! If you get a date on here, may you get down on your knees and Thank GOD! I am a good-looking male who spent money on ladies promising to come and meet me in the USA. Three months later and imagine this, no one has ever shown up! I'm a poor fool who lost $10k here with all the alluring tricks, flesh being shown, from people who know how to milk you for all you have. And then some!

I contacted customer service for a scam complaint (this was on both dating.com and datemyage.com) and was stonewalled through 3 different customer service agents, as we escalated up the ladder to a supervisor. They say nice things -- they even have an anti-scam policy (!) -- they just don't follow their own "strict guidelines."

They even replied to this review on 8/25/22 with a sarcastic thank you -- very unprofessional -- and then a form letter that tells you how great they are. The reviewer never once addressed ANY of my SCAM CLAIMS! He never even mentioned the word. That speaks volumes to me. He didn't even DENY these two sites are scams! How pathetic is that?
