This was my first time going to a Cycle Gear store. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the merchandise and about helping me sign up for additional savings for that purchase and future purchases.
I forgot the name of the employee that was assisting me, but he helped me pick out the right set of tires for my bike. It's my first bike and I didn't want to spend too much money on some ultra high performance tires. He was very informative about a few tire options that I should seek for my riding purposes and helped me settle on a set that was a balance between street performance and price. Thanks!
Great experience refurbishing my shoei neotec helmet. Salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable helping me get new size padding for my helmet. Order was shipped and arrived in no time. Only glitch was my RPM membership wasn't linked to my cyclegear account so didn't get RPM free shipping or discount.
Not only was the I store experience above expectations with help and knowledge, they made sure my safety and overall best experience when riding was in mind. Online shopping was a breeze and any questions I had was answered with just a call, 10/10 recommend.
I come back to Cycle Gear every time I need parts or gear. If they don't have it in stock at the store, I can order it online and have it delivered to my home or the store. What's even better is that if my online order isn't right for some reason, I can return it at the store.
I've been fortunate to almost always find the size I need. And that says a lot because I'm 5'6" and a waist 30, shoe size 7.5. Finding my size is always a challenge but Cycle Gear comes through every time.
When order was placed salesman(Valentine) suggested to have shipped to store and he would have batteries filled and charged. When notified,1-9-25, batteries were at store I called salesman and ask if he would be able to follow thru,He said yes to give him a day. When I arrived at store, 1-11,2 days later batteries were still in box, nothing had been done.
So i recently ordered a new tire for my bike because it said my local cycle gear didnt have it in stock. I contacted my cycle gear and then found out they did have it in stock. So i was a little annoyed that the information on cycle gear isnt always correct
Always good but do wish more items were in stock in my local cyclegear
FedEx took longer than I would've liked to deliver. Not cyclegears fault. They couldn't find my address, called they verified the address was correct. Then they delivered it to the dollar store after I asked them not to.
Factory seal on package had been taped over with scotch tape. A page from the instructions was torn out. The offer this product in 3 versions, NEW, BLEM, or OPEN BOX. I ordered new, but I think I got one of the others...
I've been using Cycle Care products on my motorcycles since the early 2000s and they are by far the best paint, chrome and leather care formulas out there. The paint on my vintage motorcycles looks factory fresh, these products keep the paints alive.
I was very disappointed the cycle shop did not have my size. However they figured out I needed a 4 xl and ordered it for me. 4 days later it arrived on my doorstep. Great jacket and the price was even better. Already getting compliments on it.
I absolutely love my helmet, except for the fact that it does not say that the helmet is a matte finish
From the pictures, it looks like it has a gloss finish and I don't know if I would've purchased it had I known that. I wanted something bright and shiny and while the helmet is beautiful, it looks dull so I'm a little disappointed with that especially after spending $800 for something.
My experience with ordering & receiving the order was great! Technical assistance from Cycle Gear staff, not so much, especially the local staff at our store in town. We visited the store 3 times as we were having trouble pairing our two helmets & each time the staff insisted we needed to download the Cardo App & connect through it which is totally not true, per the Cardo tech support team. However, we got everything working properly with the help of Cardo tech person &, as stated, the app was NOT needed.
I am in Tulsa and ordered some parts for one of my Veterans and had amazing communication with the store from shipping to delivery to installation. Thank you very much and I will be using you again here soon.
My new Bilt jacket is awesome fits great, warm and is excellent quality. I have some of there vented gear and love that as well. The Bilt helments with blue tooth are excellent as well and are priced great
Always easy and and truly happy with the products that I buy
It was time for a new helmet. I've worn Shoei for many years. They fit my head, and I like the quality and features. This time I opted for a modular helmet. I tried on a Neotec 3. Fits perfect! Yes I know it will "break in"
I like that I can change pads for a custom fit. I added a Sena system. The helmet is designed for a Sena. Perfect!
Now I wait for the snow to go away
I needed some motorcycle tie down straps and while they didn't have them in stock they had plenty available in their warehouse and so I ordered and they shipped the next business day and arrived to cycle gear FAST... thank you!

I went to the store after buying my first motorcycle to check out the gear and one of the associates walked me around the store, helped me try on helmets, boots, gloves etc. despite knowing I wasn't quite ready to purchase anything. He helped me get an idea of what I needed and wanted so I could consider my options and get what worked best for me. I ended up going back and purchasing several of the things he recommended. (Of note, I am a young women and felt so encouraged by this experience!)
Noticed a Bell helmet in the store on a bike night at the McAllen store. Stopped by the next day to actually buy one. Not in stock, so ordered for delivery to our house. Arrived as planned, exactly what I'd ordered, fitting perfect.
The guys at the store were very responsive and got me what I wanted - exactly. I was looking for new tires for my track bike and did not know the difference between Q5 and the Q5S. The gentleman that was helping me cleared it up and I got exactly what I needed.
I am a big guy. I could not find a jacket and pants that fit. I ordered some because I could not find anything local to try on. A friend told me about Cycle Gear. I called in and talked with a young man (I wish I could remember his name) that was knowledgable and kind. He knew what they had in stock and invited me in to try them on. He remembered me when I went to the store. A nice young woman and a different young man walked me to the racks. Invited me again to try some gear on, and discussed my options. I ended up purchasing two jackets and a pair of riding pants. I was very impressed with the stores inventory, gear quality, and excellent customer service!
Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
