The staff at the Broad St location took the time to fit me in a jacket and my kiddo in pants. The pants had to be shipped (size not in stock at the store) and they arrived two days later. I will be headed back to this location for more equipment!

Bought a tire online from CycleGear as the size/type was not available in store. I then brought the tire and my rear wheel to the local store and the fellow there installed it quickly. I also picked up a motorcycle cover that I had placed on hold, through the website. Overall, it was a good experience.

Everything usually goes quite smoothly with a return, but this day there seemed to be a problem with the folks at the desk being able to "sign in" and process my return. After waiting for 10 or 15 minutes I took my helmet return and went back the next day. It was then taken care of efficiently.
AS I'M RIDING MY MOTORCYCLE AND KEEP RECEIVING TEXTS FROM CYCLE GEAR. I HAVE TO PULL OVER ON THE FREEWAY TO READ THEM! The tire machine was broken, and a month after the tire purchase their machine was finally repaired to no fault of theirs.
The Manager Joe had my tires and rim strip installed and tires balanced, honoring their policy when one buys tires through them.
My 1994 Goldwing was in storage for 7 years and I finally got it out to repair and upgrade to start riding again. I took the front and rear wheels off and brought it to Cycle Gear in Lawrenceville, GA for a new set. They were extremely helpful in suggesting the best tire for my ride and were great at mounting and balancing the wheels.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
