I ordered a tire, and was told that it can be mounted at the store. So I ordered the tire online with delivery to the store instead of my house. When the tire arrived, I was told to bring in just the wheel since they can not remove it from the bike. And then it would take a while to get is balanced because they had only 1 guy that was trained. So now I had to drive to the store, pick up the tire, and go to another shop that would dismount my wheel and put on the new tire. I should have gone to the other place first. Waste of my time.
Order was easy and quick turn around time. The boots fit my oldest nicely. And finding boots or shoes of any kind for him is always a hassle. The vest fits nicely and is great for what I need.

I needed a helmet on a short turnaround after a big dealership screwed me on shipping times. I found the same product on Cycle Gear, put in an order, and received my helmet with time to spare! Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on my dealership-ordered helmet...
They act like you're bothering them to be serviced. Not the first time we were there and each time it was horrible service to the extent of being ignored though we were the only people in the store.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
