Ive never had an issue in the past with cycle gear until recently. Upon first arriving to order tires, I was greeted very nicely and was given a few options to help fulfill my needs which as usual was wonderful. When I got the call to bring my old tires in to switch out however, my experience changed that day. I carried my 2 bike tires to the front door, had to set them down and open each set of doors and when I got inside there were 4 cashiers just watching me struggle. Ok no big deal, it's a fluke. Went to the service counter and that cashier was different then who I ordered the tires with and he was cold and irritated that I didn't know the answer to questions right away as this was the first time I've done tires where I couldn't just bring my bike in to be swapped. Ok I assumed another fluke. But, upon pickup on the new tires I was met with more rudeness and frustration and it just isn't the Cycle gear I remembered. I'm sad cause I love this store but these few employees were pissing me off. I am not a "backpack biker", I own my own bike and its frustrating when you are treated so poorly by a few employees that make you not want to continue to do business somewhere that you have always loved.
Staff here is the best! They make sure you have a very pleasant visit!

I ordered my helmet online and got it delivered to my local store in a couple of days.
Ordered a new battery after the previous one was giving me issues. Ordered in store and staff was great. Only complaint is that the first time I ordered one, it came in a few days. This time it took a bit longer - a week and a half or so. Otherwise great.
Everyone at the Pasadena location is super friendly! As a small first time girl rider, things can be very intimidating but everyone is so welcoming and nice. Shout out to the Filipino guy who helped me with picking my gear.

Price tag on the boots was $10.00 less than what I paid. When I questioned the price I was told the boots could not be more than 2 years old as they were only available for the past 2 years. Not True as I have had my current pair for 3 or more years. I feel certain that what I received is not current production, why would it have an outdated price?
My concern is that because of the age there could be quality issues after the warranty expires. I have had soles seperate and zippers break because of aging issues on other boots in the past.
I decided to go to the shop, instead i ended up buying online from the shop, i could have done directly from my home!

Was able to exchange one pair for another pair that wasn't in the store but was delivered for free to my house within a reasonable time.
Overall my experience with cycle gear is good. But last week they accidentally installed a tire on my zx14 front wheel and put it on backwards. A couple weeks ago they ordered me front brakes for my zx14 and it's the wrong brakes. So I will have to spend time taking them back. But $#*! happens

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
