Although the Cycle Gear in Pensacola was getting ready to close up for the night, the workers acted very friendly and waited patiently for me and my cousin to finish browsing and shopping. Everyone working there has been very helpful and we appreciate the professionalism whenever stopping in.
I purchased a fender online, and since the fender is large I decided to have it shipped to a local Cycle Gear for two reasons: 1. Free shipping is always appreciated (even though I had to drive there), and 2. I got to visit the Cycle Gear store and try on gloves and other riding gear that you can't normally try on from other online vendors
So far so good. Haven't had a chance yet to test it in real world conditions, but it appears to be well-made with useful features.
I ordered one item on line and it took 2 days. When we did an in store transfer it took 14 days. Frustrated!

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
Answer: There's nothing legit about the website. They have stores in many different cities around the US, but their customer service is almost as bad in-store, as it is from their corporate call center and internet department.
