I should have looked up this website's rating and reviews far before using their service. This company bates you into a cheap resume offer between $1-3 and then quietly signs you up on their subscription service which is an additional $25 without you knowing. These tactics should be enough for everyone to stay clear of this website and find something else to use.
Awful customer service. Paid for one $2 CV letter. I didn't see nor sign up for a recurring payment. They auto charged me a weekly fee of $25,4 days later. I caught it and cancelled it and when I explained they refused to refund me. I didn't see anything that put me on a plan. You can do this yourself and don't need their lame templates. No confirmation of anything so it's a money grab!
If there's a 0 star on the review I would click on it. I noticed an unauthorized charged of $24.95 today on the bank account, when I checked, it is them - CVMaker so I immediately contact them via email. I reiterated I did not subscribe for a membership to any of their services, and asked to refund my money as I did not use any of their services which I was charged for. They don't want to give me my money back, the agent just replying with insulting lines. How ridiculous!
Very misleading and unclear.
Charged me £20 for an online CV. I paid for a week of usage which apparently signed up for a monthly subscription? No email to tell me that the price was increasing.
Unhelpful customer service.
I'm a full-time student and made the CV to apply for scholarships, I cannot afford this.
Do not recommend.

After a couple of emails, which I wrote to describe that I paid the first fee, didn't like the service and didn't use it anymore, these people wanted to charge me for the total month. And they forced me to write a positive feedback in advance to remove my outstanding balance of $25.
Can you imagine? I must write a positive feedback after they refused to remove the outstanding balance a couple of times.
I wrote them that I will write a positive feedback only after you remove the outstanding balance and remove my credit card credentials from your portal. It's not fair to get a positive feedback without doing anything positive for the customer.
They didn't reply anything. And today they send me the outstanding balance payment warning again.
Okay. I will change my credit card and leave you the feedback you deserve.
You don't care about your current and potential customers.
Bye.

In this review, i want to mention about how to use cvmaker.com and the service provided, all the things that need to be in the resume, cvmaker.com has prepared and has given some notes for the user guide, in addition, the service provided is also very helpful in saving thinking time because it has been given a template to choose from, cvmaker.com also provides a review service ATS.
Looking at the other reviews i can see that this is quite common with this website. People often get scammed out of their money. You pay a 2$ fee to get a CV template (as I did) and then a week later you get an unexpected charge of 25$ (in my case) in your account saying that your 7 day trial has ended. Really? So you make people pay for a 7 day trial and when it ends you don't ask or let people know that they will be billed? Because as I can see with a lot of people here, nobody uses their services other then just their CV templates, so nobody would spend that much money on something that they can jut make in Word or something. Bad and scammy website. Please don't use their services, there are much better websites out there doing what they do for cheaper or even free.
The best reviews on Sitejabber are typically detailed and informative, describing a personal experience with a website or business. You can talk about pros and cons, what you liked or disliked, and why you'd recommend it (or not). A good rule of thumb might be to ask yourself, "Would I find this review useful?" or "What do I wish I knew when I first found this business?"
Reviews can cover the services or products offered by a particular website, but can also contain feedback about the content of their site (if it's a news site or a site hosting funny videos, for example). Basically, you can review anything that has a website.
This site is a scam, advertises at 99p yet a few days later they take £20. They hid this in tiny letters in the T&Cs so many people have been fooled by it. Email them and you just grt snotty insulting emails back absolutely vile

They have stolen money from me in the last few months. I threatened them that I would go to the police and they had the audacity to ask for the money owed, well, I didn't pay anything. Today at 6 in the morning they once again charged me 20€ without any rights, unacceptable and I hope they will be prison at some point
Terrible bunch of thieves
They lure you in, get you involved in a subscription in the 'small print' then relinquish all responsibility as they bleed money off you for a really amateur CV writing service
Go and get your Dad to write your CV It will be free n about the same level of creativity and professional input
STAY AWAY!
The did not mention that they will charge you automatically for 24$. You can not even stop the payment operation.
My advice to anyone, do not use it at all. The is millions of websites better than this sh*t!

This site misused my data and money was taken from my payment card without authorization. They committed a crime and were reported to the police for high-tech crime. Please react and block this site because I am not the only one who is affected.

I payed 1,9 dollars thinking this is the money that I own them for the service provided
Then they go and use my bank card details to withdraw money without my consent
And I requested a refund but their customer service manager kept stalling.
It's a freaking scam!

They stole my money after almost a month of payment, as I paid 1.95 dollars to buy a CV on 13/2 from the prepaid card, and on 11/4 they returned and stole from me 24.95 from the account without me paying them as they were deducted, so beware of this company. Attached is proof of withdrawing my money...!

Do not use this website. They deliberately hide crucial information about subscriptions, making it challenging to notice that you will be automatically charged after the trial period.
They renew and alter the payment contract without sending any notifications. I immediately blocked them from accessing my bank account and retrieved the money when I noticed the charge. I refuse to pay for a product I requested but never used. If I hadn't checked my balance, I would never have caught onto their scam.
Furthermore, you can't even change your email address in their account settings. They make it extremely difficult for you to realize their deceitful practices and put a stop to it.

Do not trust positive reviews for this website. It's total scam. After I made CV and paid fair and square for their service they tried to charge me 23 euros few days later even though I didn't have account with them neither agree on any subscription. Luckily my bank declined transaction as suspicious. Stay away from this website! TOTAL SCAM! They made effort with fake reviews to make this rating on Trustpilot as they were previously 1.5 stars (read what Google says about CVMaker), so don't trust good reviews as they are all fake. All negative reviews are regarding the same problem and they just copy/paste same generic answer like we could see that there is subscription on several places. RIGHT! It's like they care, that is the only way this cheeky site makes money and they won't change their policy. For subscription you need to read terms and agreements and tick a box. Somebody should sue this company.

1/ A typical subscription honeytrap, after a cheap tryout week of using the service, I could not access the web site to cancel and overnight was hit with an eye watering £18.95 charge for a new month. In the morning after they took the payment i explained it was made in error, but they sent me an annoying standard reply from the 'Customer Service Specialist' to say they were going to keep the money any way and referring me to their terms of service. Clearly desperate to make money off job searchers, rather than serve customers fairly.
2/ I enjoyed looking at the templates in that initial week, however I could only download them as PDF's, whilst many recruiters are asking for word docs so they can run them through their own systems. This meant I was 'locked in' to their templates with all the work I had put in and could not amend them on the fly.
3/ Avoid- money grabbing business with some technical flaws

If I could give a zero rating, I would. I paid Php178.55 trial period charge last Oct. 13,2022 for a resume' template. I did not sign up for auto-renewal so they should have saved my payment info in their system. But they did and they debited me with a Php1173.26 charge. And they're saying that it's because I did deactivate my account. Well, first of all; auto-renewal needs consent. Saving our payment info in your system and charging it automatically needs consent. You are just thieves who prey on people who honestly pays for services like this. You should be reported and shut down.
Don't trust it! The positive reviews on Trustpilot are fake. Read the ones with one star!
They charge you without notice! Customer service impossible to reach and they keep replying with the same standard answers.
Keep away!
