This website isn't friendly to ATS which is a system that helps recruiters to filter resumes based on what they want. What I figured out after making my resume on this website, I found a lot of information missing although it is existed in my resume in other words it isn't sensitive enough to be recognized from ATS. So when they search for someone with my skills I didn't appear in their search because simply there are a lot of missing information about me.
After you pay they'll automatically charge you like $20 after 2 weeks, if you don't have funds, your subscription will still be active but the next time they'll try to charge you the subscription plus a penalty fee
I have only once used CV maker to create a CV and paid 1.95 USD. What i just relaised is, they have been taking 24,90 USD from my credit card without my consent. I want my money back and if they dont, I will suit them

IfNo matter how "good" it seems, don't use it. No regard for the consumer. I canceled my subscription and when I continued to be billed I sent for a password reset so I could cancel again and they consider that use of the program.

They started charging me again after 4months without any notification and insisted to charge me. I opened the account and never used it.
They are just desperate to take your money. Never fill in your card details.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. I paid 2€ for a trial and now they are taking 20€ off me every month. And they don't even help when you're trying to solve that problem with them they just want to take your money. Biggest scam ever.

Since july 2023 Im trying to cancel them because I never signed up and they are taking money from me every month
Contacted support and got lied to over and over saying im not a client and have no account, transcation number is bogus
Reporting this as fraud to my bank today
– I foolishly put my credit card to pay what I suppose that was the service – a curriculum, and never more I thought about it. Unfortunately, on May I saw that you were charging me a subscription that I didn't know about. Immediately I asked for the cancelation and it was done correctly, but I think that you should refund me at least 11 monthly instalments but your support is irreducible about it, they refund me 2 monthly instalments, but I do not agreed about it.
I saw several claims on Portugal sites everyone claims saying that you are not clear about what you will charge. The first page, when we pay we just see what we need to pay on that moment. Never you inform about monthly instalments. Yes, you send an email where in the end of them you inform it, but if customers are not aware they will not read it, as me

So, just last month, I have decided to make a CV on this cvmaker.com. Yes, I was aware that creating and downloading CV is 1.95 euros and, reportedly, you pay additional 24 dollars (not euros) for any change you make. I made a change ONCE, just when I created CV. However, a month later, another 24 $ was taken from my bank account without my consent. I went to my bank straight away, blocked my card, filed an abuse and ordered issuing a new one. AVOID THIS SITE!

NEVER put your card details on this site. Like most of the people who wrote a review here,I have been scammed and they took more money from my account that what I agreed with. I had paid for my CV when I made it then after a few days they took a insane amount of money even for what they called to be a "subscription" that wasn't even mentioned clearly at the beginning.
Long story short: I got scammed by cvmaker.be. They tried to rob my bank account without consent. They are thieves, be aware. They are misleading you in to buying a cheap CV (2 euros, which I paid and gave my consent for) and when you want to download it, it automatically starts claiming money from your bank account. Don't fall for the trap, they have no mercy. They are organized online criminals that steal from your bank account without consent. They will harass you and send you mails to pay up, but don't give in to these criminals.
A direct message to those criminals reading: you people failed your mothers, shame on you!

Absolute frauds, they add automatic payments to your card or paypal account without your consent. If you try to cancel from your cvmaker account, they will say cancellation is done, but will not remove any automatic payments.

I should have looked up this website's rating and reviews far before using their service. This company baits you into a cheap resume offer between $1-3 and then quietly signs you up on their subscription service which is an additional $25 without you knowing. These tactics should be enough for everyone to stay clear of this website and find something else to use. This company works very hard to remove valid reviews to keep the scam going on unexpecting customers. Very bad business model!

They claim they will charge you 1.95 EUR for a CV and you will end up paying 1.95EUR + 17.95EUR.
They will charge you a subscription without you even notice and PayPal will decide on their favor if you request for a refund.
You will never recover your money back. Be aware. Never use this site.
They charged me 143$ in total. I didn't use their services, just registered once. No email notification, no anything.
Avoid these idiots at all costs, scammers.

They sign you up for a subscription by hiding it and will charge you £20 without you realising, then will refuse to give you a refund. Absolutely ridiculous business that's just out to scam people whatever way they can. DO NOT USE THEM

Is scam site. Nothing is displayed in the prices. It makes you do the CV, enter your personal data, and in the end it costs you 3E to download it. After 7 days you wake up that he takes 19E from your account, that is, a monthly subscription and that 3E was only a 7-day trial, not the download of the CV.
First of all it was a great help to me to reedit my CV and make it more attentioning while I highlight my work experience at the beginning. An other helpful thing the different templates which makes your CV more personalise.
At the beginning I advise to read carefuly the subscription terms not to miss none of the conditions.
All in all it was really helpful to me I strongly advise it to use. Thank you!
I was charged more than the subscription fee and I was also double charged. This company is a scam. People I advise you to run for your money. Don't use CVMAKER unless you want to lose your money. This company has no shame going around scaming people. Kak service.
