Nothing against craigslist - but JENN and her "fiance" whom was supposedly sick and out of work but yet he was always gone when I tried to talk to her to meet - over a months time built up trust to essentially trade my valued and emotionally created coin collection for a FAKE gold buffalo $50 piece. I asked them to just give it back - no questions asked - she has yet to respond - shocker. Watch your back for the sheriff and local PD JENN! Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Grand Lake, Colcord etc etc beware of JENN AND JC (JT - whatever)!
Review isn't for the adds but the people you can contact through numbers and Wickr IDs. JINOMAN is a scammer be warned he will ask for half the money first then the rest on drop off please do not be fooled like I have been.
If your not gay your post will get flagged. They and all the sick creepers on the planet it took over. I use doublelist. FREE and the creeps and gays have their own place to post.
Years ago Craigslist was an ok place to visit to buy and sell things. Of course then there were the Craigslist murders which started their downward spiral.
These days it has been overrun by scammers and scumbags. Example, you have a hard time as a Animal Rescue posting your rescued animals without Craigslist killing the post right away, but puppy mills and breeders openly post animals for stud and $800 animals for sale supposedly against their tos. They rely on users to Flag these posts, but there are so many you cannot make any difference when you do and they simply repost over and over with Craigslist turning a blind eye. Craigslist, and its users who support them, have become nothing more than a place to enable animal abuse to openly prosper. Looking through the car ads its amazing how many you can tell are scams trying to take desperate and unsuspecting peoples money. I can count the number of times I have had to help friends avoid a Craigslist scam.
Craigslist has become a place for criminals and scumbags to abuse animals and prey on the desperate for profit.

Craigslist to me is a joke of a classified site. I was looking to find clients for massage and came across some weird people on here. Some of the men I've communicated with are married looking for happy endings which to me makes the massage field look trashy and low class. I am just trying to make money legitimately not just doing sexually inappropriate things to men who are not getting any attention from their wives at home. I even had a potential client try to cheat me of money to ask me to do two back to back 90 minute massages for $30... WTF was this fool for real? A standard 90 minute massage runs about $90-100 per session and knowing this moron tried to supercede me via email I passed on the gig. You have to really screen people you meet on Craigslist before you agree to meet them in your home or in public. I have also seen people posting things for specific ethnic groups since some of the men here think asian, latin, and eastern european women will do sexual favors for extra money. Again the behavior of some of the people on here makes you wonder how trashy they make the massage field with them asking for happy endings when your client should want the session to be kept professional. Either way screen everyone you meet on classified sites so you know who is coming to your place of business or your personal residence.
I love using Craigslist to buy stuff... just make sure to meet in a public place and NEVER allow someone to "pay" with paypal (they can make it look like they did even though they didn't)
I got ripped off for $200 on craigslist and id like it back. I bought a tv which turned out to be the wrong tv and the wrong stand and no remote. Its completely useless
Craigslist is an amazing site. Yes it's full of scammers and con artists but it's free and if you know what you're doing, it's one of the best sites on the internet in the US.
I travel for business and rented a "small luxury house" from an elderly couple who appeared to be deeply religious. On the day I rented the apartment, the deposit check was cashed, even though he made me write out 2 different checks. The wife often invited herself over to visit me when I was home, without calling. They would invite me to dinner and coffee. They would keep me there talking about jesus and mostly the anti Christ. (this should have been my red flag) for hours. When I would go to work, the wife would sneak into my house and turn the air conditioner up to 78 degrees. I usually keep it on 74, which is very reasonable. When I confronted them, on august the 5th 2016 at 8 pm, Russell Thibodeaux told me that since he told me previously, he would pay the electric bill for my 800 square foot postage stamp for me not to worry about it. He also admitted that Phyllis Thibodeaux had been entering my apartment while I was not there, which is illegal. On the day I moved out, he showed me electric bills totaling 90 to 100 dollars a month and said that it was " in the contract " that I pay it. After 19 weeks of him paying the bills, and never mentioning it, he decided to be pejorative and take it out of the exorbitant $ 1000 deposit, which he did not hold. I believe that there is one meter for the electricity for the rented apartment, since it is in his back yard and for some unknown reason he decided I should pay for it. Therefore, this Pentecostal minister lied to me so that I would not pursue appropriate legal action for his wife entering my residence while I worked. He is a criminal and a charlatan.
I found A-1 Bullion Exchange, (AKA Paradise Coin & Collectibles both names are used by the same people) on the Ocala Craig"s List and agreed with "Tom" (aka Seth Lutz) to purchase 25 Gold 1oz. American Eagles for $32,950.00. On 5/3/16 I wired this amount to a Wells FargoBank Account #*******527. Tom said this account was owned by Bonnie Miller who he said was the owner of A-1. Tom assured me I would receive my 25 coins in a couple days. After much stalling I was assured by Tom that he was sending the 25 coins via insured registered USPS Mail on 5/14/16 and even sent me a text with a tracking number. No gold/package was mailed and the tracking # was bogus according to the Postal Inspector's office of the USPS! On 5/19/16 Bonnie Miller called and said she was mailing 10 AE Gold coins! That package arrived on 5/21/16 and contained only 4 coins not 10! I am working with local law enforcement, the FTC & FBI.
So stupid for craigslist to start charging 5 dollars to post when they could just add some ads to make lots of money I use to be loyal to craigslist now bye bye craigslist hello offer up
Ok so there's a lot about Craigslist I really love but first let's get the elephant out of the room... YES there are scammers and perverts. I've seen all kinds of ads there for roommates that I've signed up for that people never ever let me actually contact them and people thought I was a prostitute.
Basically if you're looking for a roommate you need to apply for as many ads as possible because up to 50% of them are going to be fake. But if you can find a genuine ad it's one of the best places to find a roommate. I have tried on several occasions to find roommates on Facebook and no one will reply. I don't enjoy Facebook for finding a roommate.
As far as rideshares go it's also great! I have a hard time getting around because I can't drive and I needed people to drive me to work. I don't have a job but I was willing to pay people for the ride and they said they'd do it for free. The woman I spoke to actually said I could be her roommate and that she'd drive me to work and to see my family. Yes people there thought I might be a prostitute but after I found the GOOD people I was very happy with the services offered by Craigslist. Never EVER been able to find someone to drive me around on Facebook.
I've never had a bad experience here. Just use common sense.
Since day one I have been a fan of craigslist. I have found everything their is on facebook! I have brought and sold cars, furniture, gave away free things and had jobs through craigslist
I use this service when I need to buy something very cheap. It is convenient in use. The last time I bought a used Apple watch for my husband. It is like a new.
I find that men seeking women are also In the men seeking men section. I've learned to Google every pic I see and find interesting where it's at on other sites.
craigslist.org was a good site most of the things are legit. The emails that they give you don't work and some things are spam or very inappropriate, but on the whole it is a good site.
If you know you been a victim of craigslist housing offer you can now recover what you lost on craigslist so happy to see the reviews on Sitejabber just some weeks back and happy to say that i recover some of it for a cost give him a try to see what am talking about message him through this email( admin dellj4001 AT gmail DOT com)
Its this guy that sales cats on Craigslist his name is Abbas Aoun and his number *******605 he tells you it nothing wrong with the car but gives me a car with a key that work to the ignition but not the door, then he tell me I got a one week notice on the car my rotors are bad but he duck me and tell me he was going to get a key made but then he back tracks and tell I got to get it made and come out my pocket
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
Craigslist has a rating of 1.8 stars from 513 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Craigslist most frequently mention customer service, several times and phone number. Craigslist ranks 188th among Classifieds sites.
