Use it almost daily as a resource. One informed purchase saved me more than the subscription cost!
The news letter and it's information are great ways to educate about products, effectiveness and safety

I have been pleased with my Consumer Lab subscription. I have been a subscriber for a number of years and am surprised how often I use it to look things up. The interface and organization of the information is easy to use and the items reviewed are often of interest to me.

I have been a member of CL for many years and I always check their reviews before purchasing supplements. They give extensive information that is helpful for my health. The last time I tried to logon though was irritating... YOU HAD TO ENABLE COOKIES to log on! I tried several times. As much as I benefit from CL I will not continue my membership because of this new rule. There is no reason for these cookies and I don't understand how that will help my health.
Thank you for your feedback and for being a longtime member of ConsumerLab.com. We understand your concern regarding the cookie requirement and appreciate your input. I trust this website to provide accurate information on the supplements I take.
Thank you for your trust! We’re committed to delivering the most accurate supplement information to help you make informed decisions.
I was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer a few months ago. I am not a fan of chemotherapy's toxicity, so I take a wide range of supplements to assist in my battle against cancer.
Once I have researched scientific reports on potential anti-cancer therapies, I refer to ConsumerLab for their studies on a specific supplement and their laboratory findings to determine what brand provides the actual dosage and best pricing.
Supplements are very expensive and many do not contain the dosages listed. As much as I spend on supplements, ConsumerLab is indispensable in my research so that I can get the best possible quality and price for the products I purchase.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re deeply moved to know that ConsumerLab has been a valuable resource for you on such an important journey. Please know that we are here to support you in your research and wellness goals. Wishing you strength and health as you continue your journey.
I have subscribed for many years but as I head into retirement may be too expensive to continue. Otherwise, I find it very helpful.
Consumerlab has very helpful information about supplements and the pros and cons of supplements. I like that the testing is done and test results are shared, i.e brands, approved, not approved, risk levels, studies and findings identifying what supplements may have healing properties or prevention properties for various health conditions.
Frequently, I refer to this site for safety and cost.
I often read consumer labs reports on topics of interest.
I would like to be able to influence not only the type of products tested but also the type of tests conducted on supplements.
All of what they're consolidating is available somewhere else free online, consumer reports is 100% about making money off the less internet-research-Davy consumer they claim to care about. I'm sure a majority of their subscriber base is a bit older. Should be free, paid for by web traffic ads donation etc.
Oftentimes while reading ConsumerLab report, I feel that I'm reading from a Pharmaceutical magazine. Example... saying that Turmeric caused one person to be hospitalized with high liver enzymes without saying that the person was on many medication and with many health issues, is being deceitful. There is so many more examples especially on the products known to work well enough to possibly replace pharmaceutical drugs. Beware.
No, ConsumerLab is not associated with Pharma. We are independent and report both "good" and "bad" news regarding dietary supplements, including potential safety concerns.
I've emailed them twice regarding my decision to cancel my membership within the first month of subscription. The reason is none of the supplements I use have been tested by them. There is simply no point for me to continue the subscription. It's been several weeks since I repeatedly emailed them. Unfortunately, they haven't replied to my e-mails. There is no way to cancel your membership on the website. They are not holding their promise. Do NOT submit your credit card info to this website! It looks like I'll have to start a dispute process with my bank.
Hi Mevlut - As you know, we fully refunded you on March 25th, the day after we received your message of March 24th. Unfortunately, we were transitioning our staff locations due to COVID-19 on March 13 when you sent your original message and it was missed. Normally, refunds are issued the day received or within one business day, and they can be emailed or called-in.
Trusted, excellent information. Thank you. One suggestion: As you research supplements, please also provide reviews for items easy to buy locally like: Spring Valley, Nature Made, Nature's Bounty. Etc.
We're glad to have you as a member, Dorothy! Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions on products you would like to see us test.
Very beneficial work, plus helpful commentaries shown from other subscribers. Did however notice one retraction - of sorts - on the oatmeal review. Seems as if external pressures perhaps forced publication of a "clarification" of pesticide levels in a common brand. Regardless, worth the price, since it helps guide our consumer decisions with extra confidence.
Hi Irving, thanks for your review and feedback, but please note that nothing in our review or reporting of oat products was driven by any external pressure. We have been objectively reporting findings.
Consumerlab.com does not test every manufacturer and the format of the info downright SUCKS. It's very confusing because they will do everything in paragraph for all clumped together. Then the list the Top Pick which is always something different than what was in the paragraphs. So, are they saying top pic based on cost, quality, quantity? I truly is a mystery. Let me choose the top pick not you. Is very confusing. If they put as much effort into to the layout of information as they do with the testing this site would be amazing but at this time i feel is BS.
We test hundreds of popular brands of supplements and health foods, but certainly not every product. While you should absolutely determine what criteria are most important to you, most of our readers appreciate that we also boil down the results of our tests and reviews to suggest Top Picks, and we do explain the basis for our choices -- which typically comes down to providing the highest ingredient quality, right dose, and providing the best value.
Bronson Vitamin D3 10,000 IU is your top pick for Vitamin D3 and I am very disappointed in your choice.
It is entirely unnecessary for a tablet to contain corn syrup solids, rice extract, potato starch and other fillers.
Also, there's no reason a Vitamin D supplement should contain three types of sweeteners.
Organic or otherwise, health-conscious individuals usually don't consume corn syrup or things like potato starch.
I almost purchased the product based on your recommendation without checking the ingredients list.
Also, it would be nice to have iodine nori products reviewed.
I do appreciate a lot a review on sardines; it shocked me that my favorite brand has so much heavy metals; thank you so much for your review!
There are some very good articles with an abundance of information... my issue is that so many times the items that are reviewed do not include many of the items i can purchase on sites like Swanson... so it is difficult to make a comparison
We're glad to have you as a member, Kenneth. Thanks for your review. You can always feel free, as can any member, to shoot us suggestions on products you would like to see us test in the future.
Although I have benefitted from a lot of the reviews, I don't see some of my sources included like Stop Aging Now.
I would also like to see updates re improvements such as which chocolate producers have lessened cadmium in their products.
Hi Niela, thank you for your comments. We update our information after purchasing and testing a new group of dark chocolates and cocoas, and our next update is due in 2023. As far Stop Aging Now, we will add this to our list of suggestions of brands to test from our members.
The reviews were through and thoughtful. I trusted them.
Once I had reviewed what was relevant to me the value of the service dropped. Not every supplement or brand I was interested in was reviewed.
Your weekly updates are ok but I believe they are old info available in the body of your information.
We appreciate your feedback but want you to be aware that there is new content added almost everyday, and new product reviews every two to three weeks.
Answer: Hi Denise, We have actually covered this topic on our website https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/does-prevagen-really-improve-memory/prevagen-memory/.
Answer: Hi - We don't charge every month; just a single charge for a 1-year or 2-year subscription as noted on the page where you joined. We show the calculated cost per month for reference, so you can see that the 2-year subscription is less expensive. If you would like to cancel, please email subscription@consumerlab.com with your name and email and we will process your request (typically within 1-2 business days).

Answer: Not yet, but we may next year. We have written about PQQ: https://www.consumerlab.com/answers/is-pqq-similar-to-coq10/what_is_PQQ/
Answer: Hi Theresa - As noted on our site, we permit subscribers to print a copy of our reports for their personal use, but we do not permit not copying or downloads. If you were somehow able to download content from our site, it is quite possible that it would only work while your membership was current.
Answer: There is no single best supplement or brand. It's best to focus on the type of supplement you are looking for, e.g., multivitamin, fish oil, probiotic, herbal) and read our Product Review for that specific category and see which product is our Top Pick for that category. Here is a list of our current reports: https://www.consumerlab.com/results/
Answer: Yes, we recently published a new report on turmeric and curcumin supplements as well as turmeric spice (ground root powders) at https://www.consumerlab.com/reviews/turmeric-curcumin-supplements-spice-review/turmeric/
Answer: Hi Barbara - You can give a gift membership to ConsumerLab.com from this page: https://www.consumerlab.com/giftcerts/. We have a link to this at the bottom of every page, but the font is a bit small. Hope that helps.
