This company allows so many scammers and fake profiles. In my daily dozen, usually 75% are fake profiles, they all say they're from China and use stock pictures. Just to see what would happen, I matched with a couple and they responded with the exact same sticker emoji at the exact same time. I feel bad for any Asian person who wishes to use the service to actually find a relationship because with the amount of scammers that pretend to be Chinese, they're making it difficult for women to determine who is for real. Complete waste of time.

One day, I was suddenly logged out of my Coffee Meets Bagel account. Problem was it was linked to an old phone number, so I had no way of getting back in.

I reached out to customer support and they gladly updated the phone number linked to my account, but this took a few days to do. Would've been easier if they had a self service tool to do it like other dating apps.

Unfortunately once they updated the phone number on my account, it supposedly triggered all these security flags and I had to submit a selfie to verify my identity. They refused to tell me why, and upon asking them to delete my personal information they also refused. In every email, they keep blabbering on about "safety of our members will always be our number one priority" and just blandly linked me to their terms and conditions page.

Would be nice if they could highlight exactly what the issue was instead of bringing me to a page with a whole wall of text. It's like I'm asking for something in school and they've just dump an encyclopedia in front of me, expecting me to find the answer among the hundreds of pages in there.

All this - after I simply requested for the linked phone number on my account to be changed.

Got banned after reporting a scam activity. The customer service is very rude, asked me to send a photo with three fingers up, saying that if I sent the photo I will get reverified. After I took the photo, sent the photo with three fingers up. He said oh we still cannot verify you, and we cannot tell you the reason. What a jerk he is. If you want to ban me with no reason and no matter what, why waste my time taking the photo for you?

PASSPORT COPY IS NEEDED

On the second day when I installed the app, the app suddenly unable to log in and the app emailed to me stating that they are checking potential spams and it was a random that I was selected.

Ok… So, they asked me to email a pic to them holding up 3 fingers, which was fine and I did so. Then later, the app required me to send them my phone no. (I was thinking, that was ok too). Then, the next day, another email from the app asked me to provide a copy of government issued passport for ID proof, then I am scared. I am wondering by what means can the app ensure my personal information can be protected? And every time when the app emails to me, an additional information is required, so when will there be an end?

I indeed have joined a 3-month subscription plan already, and I guess if I asked for a refund ( in case that may happen though I doubt), additional personal data will be required. Thus, to allow myself to have a peaceful mind, it is ok to just leave the amount which was spent and quit the C&B app. I have never thought that there can be such a bad experience in using dating app. Indeed there are tons of friendly and welcoming apps around.

Don't Waste time here and Don't sign in here. Lots of Scammers here and They don't know Which one is scammer, Which one is Real! For this app user you guys need to know the reality of this app! The CMB is scam, They aren't helping me There's time to post this, but there's no time to answering me! I've already talked with this app, I don't want to talk with this app anymore, The CMB request for a government ID without explanation, This app selling your e-mail, etc, and who asking for a government ID in dating app and Government id is not used in this case, you guys need find another way to figure out real person! This app is selling you information don't sigh in here! If you email them they are so mean! They are hiding every body they use fake name and no last name I just want to talk with with CMB CEO! CEO also hide, I can't find her CMB CEO email any where.

I was scammed by a guy I met through CMB, later found out he used picture from someone from Taiwan. How CMB verifies their account, I already reported this matter to CMB and they seems less interested. This person has man accounts which CMB cant di nothing about, they do not care about customer service.

Full of trash so does their staff. Instead of resolve issues, they will block you if you are in their way of business. Crime in silence!
Even in social media, they won't reply and block right away!

Got liked by this china guy, talk alot about himself, never met this guy at all too. Started calling me babe or darling, and sing to me ( his singing sucks btw) it was gross whenever he called me that and continued say want to do financial management together, i followed and earn about 500plus from it. And i was stupid and follow his scam and he manage to scam 7k from me. I believe he doesnt look like the pictures, he must be ugly and freak looking.

I really must leave 1-star review because I was banned for a very poor reason: "I was doing marketing on CoffeeMeetsBagel".

My profile is a little on the "unbelievable" side so I have links in my profile to my businesses. Apparently you can't do that!

I understand they are trying to remove scammers and dishonest people from the app. But I had links to my businesses! I wrote in my profile "50+ positive testimonials" for my business, which I thought would help me be more attractive to dates.

Man it's funny because my business is software contracting. Do they really think I will source business leads from CMB? It's so ridiculous!

This is the most non-user friendly site ever. You fill out your preferences, yet they match you with people who are way out of your age range and way out of your distance limitations. When you finally contact someone in customer support, they say document and send us photos of your issue. First of all, who has time for this and who saves people's profiles you deleted? Finally after persistently asking for a refund, they send you a page of instructions on how to request a refund from Apple. Now this is their "scape goat" as Apple does not give refunds when you purchased the subscription legally through your phone app. I would join ANY other site than this...

Dated a couple of guys locally in Singapore and most of them are genuine. It is not difficult to identify scammers as soon as they ask you for money or are unable to meet in person. However, the problem is there are guys who lied that they are single when they are actually married, probably just looking for cheap thrills. Came across this guy who called himself MLSF, KP or Kwee Peng who wasn't honest about his age and marital status. If you are looking for something serious, look out for red flags early. Some of the guys are just looking for friends with benefits, keep your sanity, and don't fall too soon - unless you're looking for cheap thrills!

This guy professes to be 40 years old and his name is JACKSON - he claims to be in the Air Force as a Technical Seargant on deployment in Kuwait - he supposedly has three months to go before he comes home but won't devulge exactly when. His accent doesn't match up with his picture at all and when he texts it is broken sentences so it appears he is not who he says he is. He moves way too fast... supposedly his wife cheated with his best friend when he was deployed in Russia about five years ago. I would watch out for him as he doesn't answer important questions, etc.

I am a member of CMB. They asked me to delete one account and send a picture with holding 3 fingers to verity my account because I have two accounts. Then I sent verification pic and deleted one account. After that I met someone and deleted the account I used. Then we are not work and I back to CMB again and create a new account. CMB still asked my verification picture and ID to verify my account, the reason is I have two accounts. How come I have two accounts? I only have one account. The old account they did not delete from their system and made the trouble for me and said I have two account? CMB made the mistake and ask customers to pay for it?! When I emailed them and they avoid to answer my questions and no solution for their mistake. What the service is? CMB only care about money!

His name is Gary Wong a Chinese American-Singaporean. Locate his profile in Singapore. Works as project engineer manager on the oil rig at Kuwait. He claims as a loner - has no friend and no social media, his mom died last year and cheated by his fiancée 2,5 years ago. A polite sweet person. Try to build your trust. Not too "too good to be true". End up with a story of "brokedown machine" which need to be fixed. He asked to login to his account and make the transfer to the supplier. Because he trusts me so much!

His English is quite good (rare to find typo or miss-spelling). Chated via Whatsapp with +1(306)*********

Once you reject to do the banking transfer he will drop the communications down.

The scammer probably stole someone else profile. I feel sorry to this guy!

Hey girls, please be careful of this scammer. He claimed himself born in HK and raised in California, working as engineer of hydropower. Now, running his own company n is handling the maintenance project of dam offshore in Sweden. In the first few weeks, he keeps sending you messages everyday, step by step to lure you to treat him as friend. And then, he will send you his child pic, staff card, details of his client, supplier (both are well-known companies). He just copied the info from their official website to make everything real.

He will ask you to help him settle the payment to offshore bank agent so that his account could be activated to pay his supplier. He will involve his so-called contract company too. Everything involves his client's instruction. He will mentioned many parties to you, such as well-known hydropower company, supplier, evaluation report, proforma invoice, pay check from his client.

Girls, please be careful!

Scammer Haven! Luckily I have tried online dating before and am just an aware type person. But, this still caught me off guard.

Beware of interesting names (Jakob and Liam).
Beware if Grammer is not typical, you may chalk it up to a language thing since they say they are from somewhere else.
Beware, both profiles had photos with another person or an animal.

2 matches, 1 from Italy and 1 from France. Both started msg'ing normal enough. Then within a day they both wanted to jump off to texting. After texting 1 All Day long ~ thinking legit (he sent a couple more pics, etc) he told me he had an accent and asked if that was a problem ~ I said no. Later that evening he wanted to call. This was no Italian accent. Luckily our call was disconnected while my mind was still in shock. Gave me a minute to know something wasn't right!

I immediately reported and cancelled my account! But yeah ~ the other guy still has my #, he didn't start texting yet ~ and this guy has my # and whatever other info he scammed off me ALLLL DAY. Ugh!
