I tried to use this site because a friend likes it. I got as far as downloading the app and putting in my info but had no idea where to go from there. I emailed them about trying to get info on email or on my regular computer but they said it all had to be done on my phone, My screen is too tiny for that
Scammer use photos of this man to attract woman... i'm stupid enough to fell into the scam. If anyone know this person, please let him know his photos are stolen to scam women. And to all women, don't charmed by handsome face and understanding, respectful characters. If he said he is alone, orphan, ex-gf betrayed him with his best friend, please walk away. 99.9% is scam.
CMB, please block if anyone created account with these photos or photo of this man.
Same story as many of the other women on here. Claims to be 35 years old. Says he is of Sicilian descent. Born in SoCal but grew up in Europe. Recently moved to Scottsdale AZ from New York. (Interestingly, his phone number does show it is from New York). Claims to be a freelance project manager for industrial solar plants. He's working on a "tender"/bid proposal and has a fast approaching deadline. Says he was previously engaged and now looking for true love. He would text at very odd hours, sometimes at midnight, 4am or 6am, again claiming to be working on his "tender." Did not get to him asking for money.
Like many others, I tried searching his photos but nothing came up until this last one he sent me of him in a suit. Seems like he has a stash of photos he recycles through to avoid being caught. Ladies please beware. I'm uploading all the photos here so if you do search him, he'll come up.
Wow, welcome to Internet reality and disgusting scammers. I had no idea how bad this situation had become. Guys with American sounding names who mysteriously couldn't speak English, or sounded African but were from "Sweden". Just put my account on an indefinite HOLD. You should do the same.
Don't waste your time and money! I deleted app after 2weeks but paid for 3months. It's a joke with all the engineers and oil drillers. How do they get away with this company?
So frustrated. Tired of wasting money on this site. So done. If you get a guy that doesn't write English well. Says you "look pretty good" lol, and doesn't understand expressions like "oh dear, gotta run"... Clear sign he's a scammer. Unfortunately, can't trust any of them anymore. This latest one wants to send me money from Belgium to buy him a house. Hahahahahaha
Online dating is just a giant waste if time. That, and men are $#*!s. May have to resign myself to being perfectly content single. I am my own best company. My kids too!
Clues: Guy claims to be an engineer. Educated outside the US. Doesn't have a smooth grasp on English. Says he's got an urgent contract and will be leaving the country at any moment. Tomorrow, the next day. It's always soon. Pushes to switch from CMB to private chat. Wants more pictures. Give them enough time and the inconsistencies (or their high creep level) will reveal itself. I gave this a trial run with a one-time purchase of beans. Not going to renew.
Experience will tell. Learn about scammers. I recently joined Coffee meets Bagel.
All the men in my age range. Widowed, with or without children.
European. Seemed okay at first then I put it together. They all have similar profile. One man even used Paul Hollywood's photo as his. Thank goodness my co-worker recognized this and alerted me. When I confronted "Michael" about the photos he left the chat room and removed his profile.
Another "architect" from England, that 'lives' in US (widower) uses Viber for phone. Seems legitimate... until no one answers and they don't call.
Lesson learned. Be EXTREMELY cautious. I will not share anymore info online.
Overall Coffee Meets Bagel seems good... but I'm getting scammed. :(
I am working my little butt off trying to get some dates but not much is happening. Coffee Meets Bagel has been around a long time so I figured it might be a good place to start but my buddy keeps telling me I should have gone with WeJustFit.com as it's more modern (whatever that means lol) and popular. I dont know. I've seen the ads for CMB and figured it made sense to start there. Like the app and the general simplicity but maybe he's right and it's time to switch or even double down with a couple of sites at the same time, could give me the boost I need. Oh well, onwards and upwards, happy hunting folks:-)
The profiles appear legitimate. Some are even using photographs with children and adults wearing sports jerseys that are local to my area (university), but after some back and forth in conversation, it is clear they are fraudulent.
Example: cardiologist who claims to work at a specific hospital but doesn't show up on their website as an employee; military man who says he was at the "base" all day but doesn't understand the question "what branch of the military are you in?" or the guy who's profile says he went to "university of arts in italy" on his profile, but when asked where he went to university he said "Germany". Literally, every contact I've had on here has been a scammer. BEWARE! There's a reporting option but these people are slick. It took multiple conversations for me to realize they were not real. There's no way to detail the scammer issue - simply report the profile and you unmatch with them. There's no verification going on at the back end to prevent this.
Since using CMB every guy that I've talked to is a scammer. Stories are all the same, plus they don't usually put up a photo on their WhatsApp. Why? Cos they probably using a few different faces at a time. I've blocked & reported all these profiles. Dating websites should take some responsibility & clean them out as much as possible. I don't see CMB doing much. SO avoid these So called overseas workers, on contracts, oil rigs, engineers, military etc... never depart with your money even if they send all these stolen photos of kids, houses, the lot.
Same old tricks!
I have found success on other dating apps but was hoping to find more professional and educated men like myself on CMB. Yes it showed me men like this - all turned out to be scammers. How many people can actually be in UAE or on an oil rig in Kuwait at the moment. Yes they are rich but suddenly have a problem and need to ask me for thousands of dollars. Oh and they love me. We have barely talked and I don't know you. Take a hike scammer. I haven't met anyone I can trust and feel there is no control over who I can "like". Maybe there are real guys on it but I haven't found them. Most disappointed in this app.
I spent time creating a well written profile when joining this site and tried it out for several months. I didn't find a single guy shown to me at noon remotely appealing--my reaction was literally--yikes! I tried changing my match criteria to be more specific about who I'd be into and I went for two solid months of receiving zero matches before emailing them asking them to delete my account. You only get quality after a lot of quantity, and this site simply doesn't have that.
My experience with CMB is pretty much like everyone elses experience. Met back to back scammers, and all the ones that liked me had similar profiles of the scammers I had to talk to.
Both are engineers, live in the US, but one is in Cyprus on a contract and the other on a mining ship for the next six weeks.
Always an excuse as to why they cannot video chat, originally from Europe, sick mothers in England, and no siblings, and so on. After my own experiences and reading that others are meeting the same men, I just deleted my account. Good concept, but extremely poor vetting process of the men.
Coffeemeetsbagel is full of professional "chatters" who try to hook you with sexy photos and gain your interest with all possible means. They want to milk money from you so they are ready to talk to you 24/7. I was able to find a few decent and legit sites, i.e AFFlirts.com
I met my girlfriend there. I think it's smaller than Coffeemeetsbagel, but they police their platform better and they ferreted out all scammers. Coffeemeetsbagel is doing the opposite: they encourage scammers as long as these scammers have sexy photos. They accept scam because they are con artists themselves and they operate on a fraudulent work model. Avoid it at all costs!
1 contact, a scammer. Otherwise it's an empty app, unable to use. Got my money and froze my account. No reason. CMB staff refuse to communicate with me.
An orthopaedic surgeon working for Syrian American Medical Society in Syria. He claims that he needs help to receive the money that he will be shipping from Syria. The photos of the money and safe are from scam sites. Please beware.
CoffeeMeetsBagel just doesn't work because it was created for membership fees, for extracting your money through deception.I can recommend AFF96.com
I hooked up several women there. All of them were very hot.
The best thing you can see on CoffeeMeetsBagel is a few spread-legged pictures. But nothing real can ever happen there. They don't have real women – only fakes with stolen pictures that don't belong to them. I don't recommend it.
I've been on various dating sites on and off if since my divorce 6 years ago. I've noticed in the last 6 months on CMB I've matched over 100 women. Very few of them typed words - most of them use the bagel icons like "hello" "your number"? Etc. I match with attractive Asian women as this is my taste in women. So out of 100 women I've matched with 100 of them or 100% are fake. They will not video chat "face only" for even 1 second for verification. Every one of them say word for word " I won't video even for a second to verify my profile for you - until we text for a long time to become familiar. Obviously this doesn't make any sense. On other dating sights people who are serious have pushed me to video to verify. Half of the matches ( about 50 out of 100) on CMB were removed before I can even chat with them as they were reported from others as being fake. I just matched with another fake Asian profile that deleted her match with me when I asked her her favorite unique restaurants in Naperville IL which has over 100 independently owned restaurants and coffee shops - as they had no answer being fake and probably a man from Africa. So the bottom line is, if a woman on CMB is an 8 or above it looks it's nearly if not 100% spam. Don't bother using them. I used to get an lot of apology emails from CMB after all the fakes they stopped answering my complaints as they know their website has been taken over from Bots. If you join them and pay money - then you're literally burning your money. Don't bother - CMB is a fake scam.
I found this site after using okc for a couple years. The best part is the people on the site... it has more authentic guys and less trolling creepy guys. I do with they had more questions like Okc that cater to the poly community though
Answer: If they ask for money, it's a scam. Think about it. Would anyone really want to date someone who only needed money? No! That's why they come in so strong to get a strong "connection" going so you think you're more invested than just a dating relationship. ITS.A. SCAM.
