After cancelling my subscription, was billed again. Called customer service who referred me to another 800 number, which goes to someone's voicemail. Cannot get any other information from the website - each click on Contact Us, About Us, and Feedback returns me to my account page.
Worst User experience ever, worst customer service, and total scam, They take your money, no refunds, no satisfaction guarantee, and worst off, they charge you monthly with no transparency of terms. This is THE WORST means to get recruited. There are great recruiters and websites. Don't waste you time and money. As it is, the FTC should shut them down. Disgrace of a company
After 6 months of use I decided that Climber.com wasn't getting me any attention and, frankly, I don't think I thought well of it enough to use it every day.
I have no way to see whether the recruiter information was current or valid. I received no follow ups from anyone I contacted.
The final straw was the resume critique - uninformed and terrible. I had my resume reviewed by paid professionals and climber's folks started by saying it lacked sizzle and needed a total re-write. Probably standard language. Not appealing and not reliable
There are other sites that I gravitate to.
Climber has a long way to go. It's not only about the ease of use; it's about the success. I had none.
Climber.com Deceptive marketing and business practices. Do not stand behind their services and\or products
I feel totally scammed out of $599 by this company. Don't fall for their deceptive advertising.
During a phone call conversation the Climber customer service agent made no distinction or made no attempt to disclose or confirm acknowledgment of the package contract nor that the Climber's 30 day satisfaction guarantee would not apply to this package.
It was during my initial phone call the Climber agent accepted terms of the two contracts as follows without my consent or knowledge.
Only after activation of my account could I discover that their job search functionality offered nothing exclusive and did not provide access to Hiring Managers that they claimed.
Climber refused several refund requests stating I acknowledged the terms of the contract which is not true.
RUN, RUN, RUN away! Do not do business with this company. Total SCAM!
Everything is a loss at this point with Climber.com. They took $400 to write a professional resume for me three weeks ago and I still have no product to show for it. Instead, I continue to receive requests for more and more information on achievements and possible jobs that I am seeking to apply to. In essence, they are trying to get you to write the resume for them.
My suggestion to all of you is to find a free resume writer application on line, I am getting plenty of requests for interviews from the one I used.
I also had a great experience with Climber. I was hired in about a month. I had zero luck with other sites like Monster, CareerBuilder, etc. I don't know, but I think the major sites are just so saturated it's kinda of a long shot unless in a very specific field. It also helps to have a very polished, professional resume. You may to spend money to get it, but I truly believe it helps.
I would leave a lower rating if I could. First of all the site uses job search engines that I already had free access to JuJu/indeed. Secondly, the ergonomics of navigating the dashboard, profile and resumes are horrible.
Just don't use it. (emphasis on the period!)
Total Scam! I was stupid to buy complete package for $800 that included cover letter and resume writing and 6 months of recruitment. I was told that they will work on my resume and cover letter to my satisfaction, but later on they told me what they wrote is good (their first draft of writing). They don't receive calls, they don't call back. There is no help. It is a scam website. During my first month, I realized that I should cancel my subscription, I called million times to cancel and left messages, but no one ever replied to my calls. I wasted all that $800 dollars. And now after 6 months, they started charging my account for $39.99... Now I have been trying to call them to get a refund for at least $39.99, but I am sure no one will return the call as before. I am so STUCK and MAD.
I do not have much experience with the website. However, the call I received was from Francesca and she was very rude. Why would I want to use their service when the person representing them is not acting professional?
Obviously a scam, though it appears like a ligit employment recruiting website. However, once they get your credit card number good luck getting anything out of them, especially a refund or cancellation of your subscription!
My company has used the services of Climber to find new employees and we have had success. I can't speak to job seekers, but I can speak for firms that are hiring and Climber has delivered talented candidates.
Scam! Beware of this service! They target Executives and usually use the word FREE to attract customers. Nothing free with them. They also claim that money back if canceled in 30 days. Well, only if you fax or "post office" mail them a cancellation note to them. Here is the catch. If you canceled the service online before getting the fax number or request form... you are in trouble. I can't get my money.
Please do not waste your time with this organization, I paid for a resume re-write in the amount of 699.00 USD. After waiting two days, I called their Office in San Diego, I got an answering machine without the benefit of leaving a message. I called their online team and finally spoke to someone, they refused to refund my money for services NOT rendered. VERY UN-Professional, client satisfaction is NOT their primary goal please do not waste your money!. There are professional organizations out there that offer real help.

Worthless. The "analyst" even knew me personally... and she still blew off my phone interview and wouldn't return my two phone calls. Absolutely a waste of money and time. I'm just glad I was connected through Groupon and not my credit card.
I just called Climber.com to request that they remove my record from their database. They refused. I can unsubscribe from email, and they will mark their record to not call me, but they will NOT delete the record from their database. Moreover, the guy hung up on me while I was being very calm and patient about it. He would not address my request to delete the record. Do NOT use these people because they only pound you with email and phone calls to sell services related to job hunting for their income.
Climber.com is a full on scam operations. I signed up for the 30 day, cancel if not satisfied - I received a resume review "offer" to the tune of several hundred dollars. I decline. I have since tried 3 times to cancel - calling is to no avail - you will end up in a voice mail endless cycle. I have gone on their website (today makes three times) to cancel as my bank account keeps getting deducted for their monthly services... LACK of services say I. Their list of recruiters are mostly recruiting agencies that have long since been closed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM GROUP
NOT only does Climber not deliver on the Satisfaction Guarantee it purports, but it borders on being libelous. It appears that their intent is to utilize fast talking sales representatives that paint you a rosy picture of what they will do. After they suck you of your funds, you never get any response from that person. Then they surreptitiously make every attempt to take more money without authorization and providing any support. It's their modus operandi... I am in current litigation to get all my money back and so should you if you were scammed by Climber. Ask Climber management what their employee turn over rate is...? The one guy I talked to quit the next day because he didn't want to work for an unethical company any longer!
They do absolutely nothing and do not want to refund your money within the 30 day timeline although their system says, "We offer a full 100% money back guarantee If you cancel your paid account within the first 30 days and one of the simplest refund policies online simply cancel". They try to up sell you (almost an additional $400) to use their service for revising your resume. I cancelled within the stated timeline and received a nasty call inquiring where I obtained the refund policy and was told it wasn't applicable to my membership. I had to get my bank involved.
ITS A FRAUD! Climber.com meet all of the essentials elements to prove they are fraudulent. Misrepresentation, Impracticability, supervening illegality, impossibility, promise induced by detrimental reliance, possess legal incapacity deceived during the transaction and inability to perform. They bate recent graduates from colleges by indicating they are employment service. Yet they do nothing but bate you to buy there resume service on a NOTHING claim.
Saw absolutely nothing from the employment service, web site creation waste of time. The company has no customer service and the " real time tracker is absolute BS. Once you start paying for service they do not stop billing even after canceling on website. No one will call you back and the answer machine only answering the 800 number no real person answering phone which means they do not call you back
Answer: Not easy. If they answer the phone, you often get the run around.
Answer: I would start by NOT using them.
Answer: Why do they get an F rating you ask? They con you into thinking that urgency is paramount, they have a few writers that are so busy working on resumes. After I fork over 300 dollars for no services rendered, I submit my resume that is already done. After I fork over another 300 dollars I get a resume that was rewritten, but was dumbed down so much so that it sounded like a middle schooler wrote it. Typos, sections missing from the original, not happy overall with the resume at all, but what do I know, they know better it seemed. Maybe the website and access to recruiters will make up for the bad resume service. Oh no, thats where I was duped again. As other posts retell, the website is so convoluted and poorly structured you get lost in the questionnaires and questions and surveys and all the f***ing bullshit hoops and ladders that you have to navigate, for what? I guess they enjoy stealing your money and making you feel like an idiot in the process.
