I think for people who make more than $50,000 a year this site connects them with a lot of recruiters. If you do not make more than that, this site is not for you.
Scam! Beware of this service! They target Executives and usually use the word FREE to attract customers. Nothing free with them. They also claim that money back if canceled in 30 days. Well, only if you fax or "post office" mail them a cancellation note to them. Here is the catch. If you canceled the service online before getting the fax number or request form... you are in trouble. I can't get my money.
This site is a sham. I signed up and started getting telemarketing calls daily. Whe
N I tried to unsubscribe multiple times, myself and all my friends started getting virus emails. I am disgusted thatt this firm would take advantage of the economy and abuse information. I have yet to find a way to unsubsribe. RUN from this site and its affiliates.
I went to this web site because of a job posting I saw. I had to give them my credit card to log on. Once I did the job was no longer available. After checking out what they offer I was underwhelmed to say the least and canceled my subscription. I called their "customer service" and got voice mail. When I got a return call and told the agent what my experience was he basically hung up on me without verifying that my card would not be charged. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens on my statement.
Absolutely no help in getting jobs, do not waste your time or money. While there are articles on job hunting, you can find them elsewhere for free and with more information. I was billed for another month after the first because I didn't realize once you sign up, you have to actively cancel to stop renewals. I called to ask for a refund. The answer was a quick no. Do not use this website.
They called me regarding activating their services 2 time a day also plenty of email then i called back and said i m broke and could not pay they never called back or replied.
I received an e-mail from *******@climber.com CLAIMING I had filled out a profile with their company. I had not.
This company must have the LATEST in online user spy technology.
I had clicked on an advertisement about the company that was on the bottom of a job posting through job.com (somehow affiliated with yahoo and hotjobs). I did a quick scan of the ad, mostly some guy waving from a desk and how he was a career counselor and standing by. So what. Back to the job postings.
Five minutes later, I have this email in my inbox with the subject aboutyourresume and an attachment about my resume that NEVER finished downloading.
All I can figure is when I clicked on the ad, the company somehow sucked my info OR was then readily provided the info through job.com, yahoo, or hotjobs.
If you google, you'll find almost all positive responses about climber.com on the first few pages, even some videos posted on google.
This means nothing except they must spend job seekers hard-earned money to buy these positions on google. It can be done, most recently by BP.
Saw other complaints online that claimed they had no idea how climber.com had gotten their numbers, but were receiving calls from climber.com on a regular basis.
Spyware or readily selling off info by yahoo, job.com or hotjobs.
I found climber.com to be useless. They never called me back to help set up my account as they promise to do despite my having left multiple messages for the rep I was assigned to. I saw no positive results from creating an account/profile and it did not assist me in finding gainful employment in the slightest bit. I canceled before the 30 day "trial" was over and I was still charged. I called once I got my bill and they told me that since I only canceled my account but did not formally request a refund before the 30 days elapsed, they would not reverse the charges or credit me back. This company is scamming me out of my $35 and the customer service people are rude and useless. I was in conversations with someone via email who knew I was under my 30 days and when I requested to have my account canceled he told me how and still didnt feel the need to tell me that I chad to call and request a refund. Useless and rude. Use a different company.
After cancelling my subscription, was billed again. Called customer service who referred me to another 800 number, which goes to someone's voicemail. Cannot get any other information from the website - each click on Contact Us, About Us, and Feedback returns me to my account page.
Answer: Not easy. If they answer the phone, you often get the run around.
Answer: I would start by NOT using them.
Answer: Why do they get an F rating you ask? They con you into thinking that urgency is paramount, they have a few writers that are so busy working on resumes. After I fork over 300 dollars for no services rendered, I submit my resume that is already done. After I fork over another 300 dollars I get a resume that was rewritten, but was dumbed down so much so that it sounded like a middle schooler wrote it. Typos, sections missing from the original, not happy overall with the resume at all, but what do I know, they know better it seemed. Maybe the website and access to recruiters will make up for the bad resume service. Oh no, thats where I was duped again. As other posts retell, the website is so convoluted and poorly structured you get lost in the questionnaires and questions and surveys and all the f***ing bullshit hoops and ladders that you have to navigate, for what? I guess they enjoy stealing your money and making you feel like an idiot in the process.
