The Galleria location in Hoover, Alabama has poor customer service, not friendly at all. However, the Fultondale location has outstanding customer service, very helpful, so far I have had good experiences each time I have visited this location.
Items are poor quality. I bought my daughter several items for her birthday and some of them broke within the first 24 hours. Others broke within the first month.
I recently went to Clairs looking for a charm bracelet. I asked the sales person and she pointed and said "all our bracelets are over there". I didn't see it, but when I went home I found that I could order it for store pick-up. So now I would have to go back to that store to get it. So I ordered it and I received a message that it was available for pick-up but when I looked on their site it said my order was cancelled. I call sutomer service but she told me I had to call the store. The store informed me that they sold it by mistake. I asked for them to place an order for shipping but she said she couldn't do that, only corporate could. So I called corporate who said I would get an email with a code to use for shipping. The first email said since the item is out of stock she'll give me a 20% off any purchase. I told her it was not out of stock when I purchased it and the store sold it. I asked for the shipping fee, which I eventually got. Lot of wasted time.
Today I went to another Clairs to check out more jewelry. The sign on the door said "be back in 30 minutes" (30 minutes from when?) but since the door was unlocked I went in. The employee was on the phone the entire time I was there apparently talking to someone about issues with a child. She never acknowldged me or looked up. She continued to talk on the phone the entire time.
I think Claires should make a new website to buy stuff online because I was trying to make a account and there were many errors and when I tryed to make a account it kept on saying " you need more than 8 characters" or '' this password is wrong" even though I followed the steps and I also think there should be a Bigger selection like the REAL claires.
Poor balance, hard to get time off, expect a lot Even if there's only 2 people working in the store, lots of meetings outside of store hours for management, don't really want to promote established employees, they even will expect you to close your own store to keep another one open
I am long time Claire's user. Grew up on Claire's, both my girls 1 and 3 have gotten their ears pierced from this cooperation. About a month ago, my 3 year old picked out a pair of earrings labeled, "sensitive solutions" with a few days of wearing them developed a bizarre reaction. It was as if the earring had disintegrated in her ear and the ear itself was suffering from a reaction from acid. She had to be on antibiotics for 10 days orally and topically. Look at photos. I contacted my local Claire's, whom where amazing, took photos were also sincerely concerned. Cooperate called me within hours, apologize and offered me a free re pierced if she needed it (which she didn't due to having her ears pierced for a year). They also offered a "shopping spree" Claire's gift card. All of which never came, what did arrive was a bag with a return address for the earrings. I called a month after speaking to cooperate to tell them my daughter hadn't received the care package, they instantly told me due to me not sending the earring back they wouldn't send it and I should have taken the earrings out sooner… it was my fault.
I have been trying for over a month to get a refund on an online order. I went to my local store in Wheaton Maryland twice and was told they couldn't process my refund because their computer system was down for over a month. I finally paid to return my items to Claire's and 2 weeks after they received my package I still haven't received the refund. I was told I was going to get it in a couple of days and then a week later I still hadn't so I called back again and after three calls I was told oh it's going to be processed but I still had to wait five to 7 days. The supervisor was so apologetic and offered me free shipping on my next item. I reminded her that I get free shipping anyway because of the amount that I ordered. It was ridiculous they don't care about all the mess they put you through and I still don't have my money. It's not that hard to refund customers. The fact that I had to pay to ship my item back because I couldn't return it in the store when they say that that is an option for you is ridiculous. I will never buy anything from Claire's again. I told this to the supervisor and basically she could care less. LOL That was all the confirmation I needed that this is not the company that I want to deal with. Beware of Claire's. I wish I had read all these bad reviews before I ordered in the first place. Pay attention to them folks.
Normally when I go got claires i walk out with stuff I like but it sadly sometimes breaks. But overall i like the store. I do not recommend this store if you want long lasting jewelry, but if you want to just buy fun stuff I would. I have never pierced my ears there but looking at the comments it seems i never will get another piercing by claires.
Short Version: 10 year old granddaughter bought something at the store. Manager put change on table without saying how much her change was. I counted her money and she was short changed. She gave some more money back to her. We moved to the side and I counted it again, she was still short changed. So I talked to my granddaughter about returning it and getting a full refund. My granddaughter had originally given her a $100 bill. She was returned $94 dollars at the end. I told manager to give her back the full $100. She said for us to give her 6 dollars in order for my granddaughter to get the full $100 bill back? Lol I said that doesn't make sense. The money sitting on the counter was $94.00. I asked her to close out her till and count her money. She refused. We left the store short handed. I made calls to the 1-800 she gave. It goes straight to voice mail. According to the recording they have too many callers. I wonder why? Left two messages, still waiting for a call back. I will never shop at Claire's again or my granddaughter. This is the short version of what happened. I'm hoping the head office does the right thing and returns my call. I have all the receipts except for one that she would not return to me. She said it was hers. Who do I feel bad at the end for is my granddaughter. A very bad experience for her.
I was absolutely horrified when I saw the prices on the items in this store. The quality is mediocre at best. I picked up a pop it pencil case that looked like it should be about 5$ and it was 25$. All of the products are priced like this. It was shocking.
I got my ears pierced from Claire's and a couple day later I got an ear infection and after that I have had something round and hard in my ear so Claire's need shut down for nasty reasons of it being nasty
Went to Claire's with my daughter. We always check the clearance rack among other things. They had a sign that said 12 for 12 off jewelry and hair. So we picked out 12 items along with other things and went to the cashier. Half of our items rang in for the 12 for 12 and the other half didn't. We went back and swapped them again and tried for 12 or 12. Still would not ring up right we went back a third time and everything we bought got was off the rack that said 12 for 12 and the third time they still didn't ring up right the clerks told us there was nothing that they could do even though we were picking hair and jewelry stuff from the cell rack not the first time that this has happened irritated that they don't honor what they say is the price.Don't go to Claire's in the pine ridge Mall in Chubbuck Idaho.
They only had one staff member and we waited to check out for 20 minutes! It was awful service! Nobody does anything about it either. No apology or anything!
This is the worst place to go my child went her and the earring had to be cut out her ear and the don't ask for your Identification card to verify who you are

Claires, fix this!
I went to Claire's at 7991 W Tropical Pkwy, Las Vegas. I was looking for to have her ears pierced. Got there the lady, who was alone in the store, and was wearing a mask, told me she would provide the service, but we would have to wear a mask. That was 3 days after Sisolak had suspended the stupid mandate of the worthless masks. The lady was wearing those surgical masks that say right on the box, they don't protect against Covid.
As she does have the right to ask, I had the right to refuse. I said, ok, bye! And we just left.
My daughter LOVES Claire's! I do NOT! We shop there often and even more so now that they have kiosks inside of grocery stores (well played). Their prices are spendy (which I do not mind paying) however their quality is crap. 2 different little $49 fuzzy backpacks, hole in 1 after 1 week, hole in 2nd after 2 weeks. $20 for 3 pairs of earrings, 2 are broken within days (guess she could wear them mismatched ) 3 water bottles in the past month and all have in some way broken. Bottom fell off, straw snapped, lid misaligned. Years worth of necklaces, bracelets, and rings and none can be worn b/c they are BROKEN.
Get your shiz together Clair's. Stop ripping off little girls with pretty things. Charge the prices you do but use quality items for your products so my daughter is not sad when her NEW stuff breaks
This lady pierced my earring onto my mask and my hair. I had to rip both my mask out and my hair out and it hurt. Not to mention it was super expensive! It was $80 and I didn't get the very good ear solution either. Never going back there again to get my ears pierced. Would have been cheap also to get it done professionally.
Answer: Not easy at all, only machines, there is no physical person answering phones
