Dr. Eric of Advanced eye associate, San Jose, something wrong eye doctor, misleading advice make me close distance blind by change my cataract lens. After complain, gave me wrong eye drop make my surgery eye still not recovered, sharp pain. Now investigate by drug company and ca state medical board referred by police. Question him why he do that?
I cancel payment of surgery fee $2000. Citibank double cash card case number D**************. First, the bank return the money to me. Later, pay the clinic. The bank reply- service done, so pay them. Ask me talk to the clinic return the money. I know its little complicate because it involves the clinic and the surgery hospital. They should ask the doctor pay.
The bank practice is like they mistakenly transfer billion dollar to customers. The court don't help the bank get back the money. The bank need talk to the customer return money. Now the bank do that to me.

Denied CC
April 11, 2022

Despite having an excellent credit level, i was not approved for a citbank card. I have never had any issue with approval from any other company but citibank. They obviously are doing themselves a disfavor by denying customers like myself with excellent credit.

Their outsourced customer service is ridiculous and wastes so much of customers' time. A representative named Bety was with me on the phone on 3/6/2023, and it took her 30 minutes to dispute ONE unauthorized charge. That was in addition to the months that I spent dealing with them: they don't even know what "subscription" means. They didn't understand that it was the *same* charge, the same company, and the same date every month. Terrible customer service. Waste of customers' time.

I opened an account a month ago. Because I had a large amount of money transferred into the account and I withdrew some money to invest. They closed my account and restricted my access. They owe me the remaining balance I still have in the closed account. Said they would send me a check in 60 days. Never explained why it was closed. From the reviews I have read they have lost people's money and some are still waiting for a check several months later. I think they need to be investigated. What kind of bank operates like this?

Terrible
November 5, 2022

Prior to receiving the following notice regarding the delay in the availability of my funds from a check that I deposited through the mobile app, I learned that the check CLEARED. Mind you, the payor of this check was a federal govt office.

"The following longer delays will apply (because these deposits may be returned for the reasons indicated):
Amount Being Delayed: $1,069.88
Date Available: November 11,2022
Reason for Delay. We have confidential information indicating the check may not be paid."

If I could give "0" stars, I would.

Exceptional

Love this company! Am able to use the online account that allows me to pay more and monitor my real time balance. They made this experience exceptional! One of the top credit cards I've ever had. Always willing to help out if there's ever an issue.

Closed my accounts with no explanation and no notification. I had to call THEM to find out they closed my accounts.

I cannot log in to view balances or statement. Cannot access my rewards points. They claim they will send me my funds by check in 30 - 60 days but will not allow me to see how much my funds they are holding ( it's over $80,000)

I am a Citi Priority customer and recently received a letter from Citi asking me to contact them at *******871 and the department was available 24/7. I have called the number and found myself at their call center in the Philippines. Besides a lack of product knowledge and very poor diction their ability to resolve issues is zero. Unfortunately, I have called approximately16 times and they have disconnected the call over a dozen times or simply cancel the call saying they cannot speak with me! As such, I have no online access to my monies and a call center that frankly is a waste. Citi Priority advertises a dedicated service team however they simply do not deliver. Their unprofessional behaviors are outrageous. They ask me to contact them at *******871, I contact them, and they refuse to assist me as a client... outrageous and unbelievable.

Awful customer service
September 29, 2023

Folks I've been a Citi card customer for a couple of years. I had al my son as authorized user. I called Citi to remove him because his lender Underwritter s closing on a new home purchase requested it. Somehow this citi card is unable to send a rooter via email or any other secure manner indicating he has been removed. I requested a fax and here we are 3 days letter still no fax. Also a letter By regular mail Nothing received yet. Even though I explained this is the only Pending matter to close on home Purchase and absent the letter we pay $3900 extra at closing for it being delayed. What a nightmare This turned into. I requested same from our capital one credit Card and they not o fly sent a secure email But also via docusign. It is evident by the 10 calls I've made to citi over the span of 10 days that they simply Do not care about customer service. In fact the majority of the customer service representatives had a total lack of empathy and care for our Siri ration and an utter disregard to help us. In fact some of them demonstrated complete apathy to our needs. I'm to say the least extremely disappointed that in todays dna and coanderi g the technological Resources this credit card company had they have an utmost Disregard for customer service. I will be cancelling the citi credit cards as they provide zero benefits compare to other companies that do have excelled customer service experiences.

They hung up on me while I was trying to withdrawal money. Multiple times and then wouldn't let me withdraw my own money because they said it was a monthly limit and they couldn't change it. Then proceeded to hang up on me again.

I recently applied for CITI American Airlines card I received a call for approval but missed it then to call back. I called back spoke to a customer service rep that stated that she would call me back from the number I provided in which she never called. Then get a email stating I was not approved due to unable to verify. This is horrible after the lady found out that I was an African-American male by speaking to me I never got the call intentionally. My credit score is good and my income as a Chicago Firefighters is good. I will never fly American Airlines again and I will never patronize any CITI Products again

On 5/11/2024, I checked my credit card & saw Citi offering me a "quick" loan process using my own credit card. Flex Loan was about 2 points more than a personal loan but no fees and claimed to be a faster way to get your money. I tested it out. I requested $752 for x amount of years. The terms were sent to my email and a message saying it's being processed.
I tried to enter my bank account info and Citi site rejected it for no stated reason. It forwarded me to enter "to be mailed," instead. Right there, that ended the loan process being "quick" as Citi claimed.
On 5/15, I checked back on Citi website to find a message "Pending request 3041," with no other information on my account but another request to complete my Flex Loan. I don't have another request. I made one and only one & I'm waiting to see why the hold up on sending out my requested funds. So I called. I spoke with 2 different reps. Both had heavy accents and neither one answered my questions. They obviously didn't know what they are doing. I hung up frustrated. Again, today, I tried Citi's "chat." What a mistake that was!
I waited several minutes just for a human. When Riya did log on, she put me on hold telling me she needed to review my account. There was nothing to see other than my request for a Flex loan. Then she asked me the amount of my loan. I told her she should know that! It turned out she didn't know what she was doing do I asked for a supervisor. Again, waited several minutes for Oliver to come online. Again, he put me on hold to review my account then hung up on me.
All the while, Citi's Bot would pester ME to respond even when it was their rep who put me on hold & told me to wait for them. This Bot kept warning me it was disconnect the chat if I didn't reply by it's timeline.
It made absolutely no sense!
No bank that respects it's customers treats them as poorly as I have been treated!
Citi bank customer service is just disgusting they have no respect for their customers!
I went to BBB requesting they tell Citi to CANCEL their Flex Loan.
I refuse to do anymore business with them. They make it miserable.

I have Citi bank account for 2 years. There were several issues with customer service and services offered by Citi bank which made me apply for Chase bank card. So I can close the Citi card.
(1) Absolutely avoid setting up automatic online balance payments with Citi. Citi managed to debit my bank account twice in 1 week for the same amount. As I contacted customer service they never admitted the did. And never reimbursed me for the overdraft penalty from my bank.
(2) When I submitted the dispute against the online store (Best Yoga Store) which provides low quality and not matching description merchandise, The Citi bank didn't consider protecting the customer.
Citi bank settled dispute to the advantage of trader, e.g. BYS. Even though the information/response provided by the merchant was not specific to the complaint. There was no prove of quality of the merchandise they shipped. However Citi accepted the response and requested that I obtain the evaluation of the merchandise from third-party merchant. This can't be reasonable request. This way they only support the online scams and fraud, and NOT their customers.
There are other disadvantages of being Citi bank customer, e.g. very long phone waiting times (15-20 minutes at times), lower credit lines (that effects your FICO score if proportion of balance to credit limit is higher). So be aware.

When will the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency ("OCC") put an end to Citibank's despicable thefts of Citibank customer monies, funds and account balances? When will the Fed, the Central Bankers and the alleged government regulators stop stealing from ordinary Americans? How desperate these crooks really are! Citibank literally steals your money, then uses their nonAmerican agents and South Dakota/Texas officials to lie to you, all the while putting your money in Citibank's own pockets. I've had to file a lawsuit to try and get my pitiful funds back from the banking Elite of Citibank who stole it. Shameful. While at a Citibank branch last month, I heard Citibank employees offering cash pay outs and incentives to only nonwhite customers, and when queried while caught in the act, Citibank employees admitted the cash benefits are only offered to nonwhites. Gosh, on top of being thieves, Citibank are racist pigs.

Insufficient Verification in place for customers with no US phone number. I have a checking joint account which has been dormant and for which the bank charges $30/month. I decided to transfer the balance and close the account. Since the first attempt I made multiple calls, spent over 10hrs, was hanged-up on, and was told that I cannot be verified as I do not have an American phone number. I am a Canadian citizen with a Canadian mobile number that all Citibank employees with an exception of one employee from the Fraud Dept. could not reach me. I was told 3 times that the transfer is OK to go through only to get an email that it is on hold and I need to call the bank for verification. So, I called again only to hear that they cannot verify me with my Canadian phone number. I was also told that my September bank charges will be waved but when I logged in, the wire transfer appeared on hold and the account had a negative $30 charge. What is frustrating about this ordeal is the inconsistency process I have been put through. One employee was able to reach me by calling for verification and one was able to use my email for providing a code I had to read back. I have to say that the staff I spoke to was nice; however, based on the outcome I feel that they do not know the process or are poor on problem solving to resolve issues such as mine. I have hard time believing that in current times Citi bank is not serving its customers with international phone numbers who left the country and are at the bank's mercy for verification. Even living by US border with WA State I cannot go to the bank as they do not have any branches there. Based on my experience, I highly suggest not to do business with Citibank as it is not reliable/consistent with customer service information and your interest is not their priority. Escalation to supervisors/managers is futile as well and wasted much of my time as well. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Citibank stopped my mother's Credit Card. When I found out I called (on March 2,2023) and was told that her CC was stopped because she was late with payments and her checks were stopped in the last 6 months. I explained that she was NEVER late with her payment, and checks were sent by a 3rd party. First check was sent by mistake by the 3rd party, so I stopped it. And other check, sent by the same 3rd party, didn't have full accnt #, so I stopped it again. But everything was always paid on time. I was told that Credit Dept will investigate and get back to us in 7-10 business days. Today, March 14,2023 my mother received a letter stating that her account is closed because of late payments and stopped checks. I spent half a day trying to get someone to help me. Spoke with about 6 different reps, some of them claimed to be supervisors. None of them tried to help in a reasonable way. I was told to send a letter ( not an email, paper envelope and a stamp) explaining the situation, and then they will investigate (again). Avoid Citi bank Credit Card like a plague! This bank doesn't care about it's clients, even seniors who were loyal customers for over 20 years. What a disgrace!
While talking to Citi reps I explained that statements that user can download do not match information that is displayed online. That is a serious bug, and they completely ignored it.

Two weeks ago I requested a new card from Citibank and they cancelled my current card without telling me, locked my account so that I couls not get into online banking. I called to ascertain what was going on and they simply told me it's their policy and that I could not escalate to get any priority listing.
Compliant part 2: Today I logged into my citibank account to pay some bills and could see that they had not released my pay into my account. After trying to find out why they had not released my funds intomy account from my employer who has been depositing pay into this account since 2021, they simply said that the business may not comply with their regulations. After much back and forth they told me that they have to manually review the transaction and that it may be sent back to the originating bank account. When I requested to make a formal complaint (the 2nd in two weeks), I was told that it wouldn't make a difference and that it would still be Monday before they can look at the complaint. What a miserable experience with this lot. Will be terminating any relationship with this woeful bank!

In a nutshell, this company advertises that you get 1% cashback at the charge and a second 1% when it's paid... FALSE. I check our account daily and immediately pay all charges in full. So, I should see the cashback, right? Wrong. According to their rep, "John" (can any fake name be more obvious?), it's at the end of the billing cycle. Ummmm... that's not what they advertise. If I'm honest, this isn't a huge deal for us as we got the card to build up credit in spouse's name, but that's also not the point. IT'S DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING. Worse, when I went online and chatted with their rep, he gave me the pat answers... FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Oh, it gets better. Then, he not only ignores my initial question about the cashback (after the stock answer), but he STARTS SENDING ME MESSAGES MEANT FOR ANOTHER CUSTOMER that he was clearly chatting to at the same time as me! I now know that "Donna" has been a many-years customer who is not happy and she got another stock answer from him (no point in giving the entire comment). The card isn't important to us, but I won't cancel it because it would affect the credit rating and that's not right. So... I will be sure to pass on our experiences everywhere I can.
