This company is a scam. After several weeks of trying to cancel their (not working) services, each attempt was met with a reply of "you have to cancel it yourself". After finally figuring out how to cancel the service (the option wasn't there because you can't cancel until AFTER you are paid up), I randomly get an invoice nearly a year later. They randomly attempted to reopen my services and charge me for it without my permission. I sent them a ticket as soon as it happened, and was told "cancel it yourself" once again, despite them illegally attempting to bill me for a service I did not order.

They have live chat but only for sales (they call themselves support but they can't actually help with anything). Tech support needs to go through their ticketing system, where they'll answer you in their own sweet time. Still waiting for a response! There's no guaranteed response time for tickets, and the only actual humans I managed to talk to refused to even give an estimate. I paid $30 for a dead box.

These guys are one tough cookie, really go out of their way to help their clients, i wanted support for valheim plus for my server and they added it within a few hours, amazing support! So glad i found this host

My Company is using Citadel Servers for the past one year for our customers and we have received so many good reviews about it that there is no down time, Faster than other hosting like host havoc for game hosting or godaddy for webhosting and others and the main thing which I love about it was that we were able to customise the server as per our needs. I would recommend their services to all webmaster and web hosting companies or if you want to do game hosting..

Absolute scammers.

I hired a server from Citadel for 2-3 months and cancelled back in May. Even though the service was no longer prodived, they've been taking £12 a month from my account ever since (6 months) and are refusing to give it back. Instead, they are saying my account now has "credit" and I can hire another server that I don't want or need.

I've never come across a company that keeps charging their customers after a service is cancelled. Additionally, I've never come across a company that refuses to refund when overcharging a customer and instead offering store credit. Absolute shambles. Avoid.

You will not get what you asked for and if you ask for a refund, you will only receive "credit". You will never find a phone number or physical address for this organization. They will duck and dodge and hide behind the bushes to avoid having to address an issue with you. If you have no alternative but to exchange emails, they might respond within 4 hours but, you can probably bank on at least 1 day, possibly 2. If you read their Terms of Service closely, it basically says if they decide they don't like you, they can cancel your account without refunding anything. If you doubt that - go read them for yourself. This service sucks and swallows hard.

I've been hosting my server with citadel servers for almost a year, when I bought my server I knew nothing about hosting a Minecraft server and it was a pretty easy place to start. They respond to tickets very quickly and the server runs smoothly, i needed a feed the beast mod for my server done and they added it for me to their game panel as a one click, so if your looking for a host that goes the extra mile, then give these guys a try

I am amazed that they have cool features such as Steam Workshop inside the server.
I am struggling to install mods on the local server, now I can easily host a server!

This is the best hosting provider I have used so far.

Monthly fees for separate game servers renting are also quite interesting, if you think there are cheaper providers, yes, maybe there are, but the support level will not be as good.

The performance of my games is excellent, although I have to say this source games are older than 10 years, and the server latency is also on par, I get around 30 ping from the UK with the server located in Germany. There are payment options for having extra performance, I guess you need them for really busy servers & power hungry games, not my case.

I am happy with the basic package plus games running smooth on SSD drives, and they provided me with fast redirect (fastDL) even on a game that was not supposed to have it included.

When things go well and there is nothing to resolve they are an oke provider. But when the customer care department has to resolve things they fall horably short. I'm still waiting for my money. If you want a server with good speed and good customer care. Please look a bit further because this provider just does not care and the speed was meh.

They don't like it when you want your money back (for services they did not even provide) so they just deleted my account. Now i can't login anymore or communicate with them.

NEVER USE THIS PROVIDER!

I rented a 7DTD server from them. I paid for a few bells and whistles like high priority CPU, etc. After about 8 days of the server being up it started experiencing extreme rendering/shader glitches that I traced to a server-side problem. It made the game unplayable. I had set the server up to create a backup daily from inception, but only two backups existed for the previous two days. Loading each backup resulted in nothing changing, even though web console indicated backup was loaded.

The following day the server just stopped coming online. Will not start/restart at all now.

I've so far submitted four support tickets on four different days and have yet to so much as get a reply on any of them. This is day 5 of my server being inoperable.

These people are as scammy as you can get. Utterly pathetic. Do not patronize!

Firstly, i'd like to say thank you to the support for going out of their way to help me with my Valheim server, secondly, i'd like i mention these guys have really great hardware that they use for game hosting, was suprised to be on a new Ryzen 5th gen server, they have some real investment here to make clients happy!

I like the support that all of the workers give and the amount of abundant games that their servers have, it looks to me that they have the largest collection of games of any provider.

As for the server specification e.g. the memory, storage and processor power are on a good price for what amazing performance they make.

Bad support, even worse server stability, and the worst anti-consumer policies around. The only nice thing I can say is that support is quick to reply. They're quick to tell you they won't refund you even if your server is constantly either laggy or offline. They're quick to change your server in ways that completely puts it offline until they see fit to undo their changes, however many days that takes. They're quick to ignore what you say, copy and paste a reply that has nothing to do with your issue, and close your ticket.

There's no excuse for this in 2018.

Bought server, can't setup, not sure what to do. Worried that i made a mistake but not sure.

Can anyone help me?
