I recent purchased a Jaeger Le Coultre Reverso through a private seller on Chrono24. At first I was very reluctant but after a few emails with the buyer I went through with it. I am more than happy with the results especially since the seller had no reviews or ratings. I believe you need to do your homework and ask questions to feel it is what you want and whether legit. I would use Chrono24 again. The experience I had was great.

No surprise is the best surprise. Watch was exactly as pictured and described. Delivery was very fast (ordered on Friday, had it the following Monday. Seller agreed to reduce price if I ordered promptly which I did. Overall, a very positive experience.

That being said, I feel most issues can be resolved by doing your due diligence as a buyer. Research the seller. Do they have a stand alone business? What have people said about them on forums? Do they have a social media presence? Ask questions first. Personally, I use chrono24 for seldom seen pieces that just don't really come up elsewhere, in which case they become the only source. If I were looking for a modern used piece, I would likely gravitate elsewhere.

Bought my wife an expensive watch as an anniversary gift from a brick-and-mortar manufacturer boutique. Negotiated a so-so discount off list price. Looking for her watch got me thinking about a new one for my wrist. Found one I liked and then used Chrono24 to source it with a much better discount than I could get from a traditional store.
