Just had the WORST WORST WORST experience ever. Somehow I was diverted to ChooseARoom.com from the Hilton site. I've never had a worse experience. 40 minutes to make a reservation and called Hilton to find out that ChooseARoom overcharged me. Got new reservations at Hilton. Called ChooseARoom back. Got disconnected four times. Finally got through. Took 45 minutes to cancel. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

Scammed
April 24, 2015

I needed to make a trip to a town I was unfamiliar with, and didn't even know what hotels were available, so I was trying to look one up on line. I thought I was calling the hotel, but it was a number to "ChooseARoom. I should of known better than to use this service, because I had to ask to speak to two different people before I could find one I could understand. I didn't know how many nights I would need so I booked two. I asked about how long I had to be able to make any changes, and they said 24 hours. I found out within one hour, that relatives had already made arrangements for me to stay. I called back within one hour, and cancelled my entire reservation. I had to make four or five phone calls before they credited my bank account. They only credited my bank account for only l/2 of the total charge. An entire week later, and many wasted hours on hold, hang up, and transferred calls, all the way to priceline.com, and I am told that I will not be reimbursed the other $157.00 because they have a cancellation fee policy, that they claim I saw. I never saw any paper work when I was talking to the agent making a reservation. I only received by "e" mail a cancellation notice and cancellation no. They are refusing to refund my money even though, they know I did not know anything about a cancellation fee. I thought I had up to 24 hours to cancel. Does anyone know what my next step would be. Deceptive Practice
February 23, 2015

I have been a HHonors member for many years. I have always booked through Hilton. When I called (I thought Hilton reservations) to make a Hilton Reservation at a specific facility in Cleveland last week- somehow I ended up talking to a person who pretended to be a Hilton reservation person. Later on I realized that I had NOT made my reservation through Hilton but through ChooseARoom.com. The agent pretended to be a Hilton reservation person. I kept insisting that he looked up my profile through my HHonors membership so that I did not have to give him my address and other details. He insisted that it was required, so I did although it sounded suspicious. I told him that I get discounted rates based on Hilton's deal with the corporation I worked for. He insisted discounted rate rooms were sold out and only 1 smoking room was available. I told him I was not interested in the smoking room and will call another hotel. He asked me to wait a few seconds and told me he found non-smoking room and reserved it for me. Later when I went to the Hilton Hotel desk I was informed that they need my card for incidentals only since the hotel room had already been paid for to the agency. Sounds like after many, many years of staying at Hilton hotels, I got scammed, because the Hotel told me they had several rooms available.

HORRIBLE! SCAM!
July 20, 2018

HORRIBLE! I WAS HUNG UP ON 4 TIMES! I booked a suite with them for a Hyatt in Orlando. First of all, they represented themselves as Hyatt and i had no idea that i was booking through a third party; very deceptive. Second, they booked me a suite (upgrade) and when i called the hotel the next day they said i only have a regular room booked. I reviewed my confirmation email & it specifically said VIP room. When i asked the hotel direct whether there are more than 1 VIP rooms, they said no, just the one. So i called back Getaroom.com to ask them about my reservation and what they told me was that they called to confirm and the hotel said it was only a regular room. When asked what they will do for me, they said they can cancel the reservation. Not to mention when i tried booking the next day, the rates went up 30%. Seriously? When i told them i want them to guarantee the reservation they told me they would transfer me to a supervisor. I was then hung up on. I CALLED BACK 3 MORE TIMES AND EACH TIME I WAS HUNG UP. I WAS HUNG UP ON 4 TIMES. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER SEEN SUCH A COMPANY. STAY AWAY!

My phone call to a Best Western, family owned hotel where we've stayed many times was intercepted by a representative from choosearoom.com who didn't identify himself so I thought I was talking to the Best Western Hotel. I have been completely scammed. He told me there were no rooms at the Best Western and he could find me another hotel so I made a reservation. Within 5 minutes of the call I decided to change to a 2-night stay rather than 3 nights after only 10 minutes on the phone. I was told I couldn't because it was PREPAID, something I was not informed about. They put me on hold for the cancellation department for over 15 minutes, and then the rep in the cancellation dept wanted me to answer a long list of questions which by this time I refused to do since all my red flags were up that this is a SCAM operation. I was told my credit card would be refunded but in fact, they only partially refunded because they hit me with a $165.80 fee that I shouldn't have been charged based on their cancellation policy. THEY LIED to the credit card dispute department rep and said I made the reservation a day earlier thereby exceeding the 24-hour deadline for cancelling. Fortunately I have emails proving the actual reservation date and hopefully the credit card company will come through. In the meantime, I have to write a letter and provide full documentation to the credit card company as to what really happened. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Email came from *******@partnerfusion.com but the company is either www.choosearoom.com or what's on my credit card statement CCI*HOTEL*RESERVATIONS. Telephone is *******217 TX *******000 US

I called on 9/25/14 at 12noon to make a reservation at the sheraton hotel in hershey pa, I realized I called the wrong place due to the fact they never said who they were or there cancelation policy, I thought I had called the hotel because the number was above the hotel on the internet, I called back at 1pm the same day and they would not refund my money eventhough the reservation was for more than a month away. The man on the phone said I would have to pay for the first night if I canceled after 10/25/14.NOT THE SAME DAY. I called muliple times only to be told things like. We need to listen to the tapes, then they could not find my reservation, then they could not refund my credit card online... and many other excuses... DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM

Overview

The company has garnered a predominantly negative reputation among customers, with frequent complaints regarding misleading booking practices and unresponsive customer service. Many users expressed frustration over unexpected charges, difficulties in canceling reservations, and a lack of support when issues arose. Common themes include customers feeling deceived into believing they were booking directly with hotels, only to discover higher rates and strict cancellation policies. While there are no significant positive aspects highlighted in the feedback, the overwhelming sentiment indicates a strong need for improved transparency and customer service responsiveness to restore trust.
