CheckPeople.com presents a mixed reputation among its users. On the positive side, many customers appreciate the quality and accuracy of the background checks, citing detailed reports and useful information that can be difficult to find elsewhere. However, significant concerns arise regarding deceptive billing practices, with numerous complaints about unauthorized subscription charges and difficulties in canceling services. Customer service experiences are often criticized for being unresponsive or overly focused on upselling rather than addressing issues. Overall, while some users find value in the service, the prevalent negative feedback highlights a need for greater transparency and improved customer support.

This company is a joke and they steal your money. They are rude and very unprofessional. Please save yourself some headaches and don't ever use this company. I had two false charges that they are not willing to refund.
Good customer service helped me with a small issue I was having on my account. Faster response even in minutes.
Got on here to get a report for one person it said it was going to cost me $1 thought that was alright so I did it checked my bank account later and saw a charge for $6.99 had no idea what it was for I figured it was for a subscription even though I never saw anything about a subscription I wasn't to alarmed figured I'd check on my account t or call them to find out when I had a moment until I checked again and saw another charge for $29 from them so now we're almost from $1 to $40 somehow so now I'm like alright I need to call them before they take anymore of my money this was only over a 2 day period the guy from customer service was pretty helpful only reason I gave 2 stars he got me my $29 back but said the $6.99 was not refundable said it was from where I got the pdf option even though it never stated anywhere that it was charging me extra for that he said that I must have looked past it and I'm like no it never said it or asked me to agree to it when I was checking out with my card information it said $1 that was all so I did not get that money back and apparently it did set me up for a subscription even though it never said anywhere that it was a subscription I couldn't even find anywhere on my account that said that or anywhere to cancel it so I just told him over the phone if I'm subscribed go ahead and cancel it for me hopefully they don't try to take anymore of my money and I don't have to call them back this is not the right way to do business be honest about your service and the cost of it so people know what they are spending do not try to scam people also the information I got wasn't even very good if someone isn't secretive you could more then likely find it on social media for free
The info was spot on and a huge help. I've a few other sites and they didn't give me same amount of info. Canceling was easy enough.
$#*!ty if I could give this no stars I mean yeah it shows phone numbers and the addresses some email but it's definitely not up to date and by most things it just shows on the records even on different people's names so it's definitely not worth the $30 you pay
I run historical verifications on likely new inhabitants for my property. It stays away from the potential traps of giving some unacceptable individual access to your home.
I met somebody from kindling, and I needed to affirm this was the correct individual I was conversing with before seeing them. I energetically suggest CheckPeople for anybody doing internet dating.
Who refreshed not the entirety of the data; however, Which much better compared it to a portion of the contenders that I have utilized. I'm glad to continue to utilize it.
This company hides charges in fine print and just says Continue in bottom on purpose and won't refund stolen money! They are scammers that use fine print to steal
Peoples money and won't refund
Background checker is really great. It helps me to find out my neighbor which was missing from months. I will use this again
Checkpeople is great in using tools. I am really thankful for them to help me out. They deserve five star rating.
I was issued my refund after calling to cancel my account when I was done with my membership. Easy process!
I was texted by a number and called over 100 times. I was able to use their service to track down who was spamming me.
Paid for a background check, price agreed to was 1$, they charged 30$ On top of that. I cancelled my subscription the same day, and received an email confirmation, but unfortunately I deleted it. When I called their customer service line to explain to them about my cancellation because I got another $30 charge and it hasn't even been 2 weeks from the first time, the guy did not want to hear me out he was too busy mansplaining to me. This "service" is a scam. At least now I no longer have to Deal with them.
I met someone from tinder and I wanted to confirm this was the right person that I was talking to before seeing them. I highly recommend Checkpeople for anyone doing online dating.
Not all of the information was updated but it was a lot better than some of the competitors that I have used. I am happy to keep using it.

A+ website and staff! Will recommend this to anyone looking for old classmates and friends after such a long time.
Answer: Scam! Beware, they will drain your bank before you even have a chance to notice!
Answer: I had to cancel my card with my bank and file 3 claims before I got $4.33 back. But, Check people will say they didn't take it and say that you have to do a 3 way call for them to verify. I don't know about you, but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to technology.
Answer: BECAUSE THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF! CALL YOUR CARD HOLDER IMMEDIATELY AND STOP PAYMENT!
Answer: Report them to the FCC. I did. They say they'll charge you one amount, then go nuts on your card.
