I had to cancel 2 tickets due to Covid lock down. Yesterday, 3/27/22, I rebooked 2 tickets using our flight credit. One ticket, for my husband, went through and I was able to go into AA website to select the seats. Mine, unfortunately, still is on limbo. I called into cheapoair in the middle of the night and after 20 min waiting, the agent coldly told me I had to wait for another "few" hours to get the ticket reissued. This morning, I called into cheapoair. First call, 42 minutes wait, I gave up. I reached out to AA and agent there apologize that she could not do anything for me and I had to ask original booking source for assistance. I called cheapoair again, but using their reservation line; some agent picked up after the 3rd ring! But after hearing my issue, the lady made an annoying sigh "okay, give me the booking number" And I had to repeat it 3 times, one number at a time for her to key in. And then she hung up on me after 3 min conversation. I called back (at the same reservation line) and sure enough, an agent picked up after 2 rings. I said please don't hang up on me, this is my third call to you guys. He said I promise I won't do that... After I told him my issue, he changed tone. He annoyingly told me that he would me another number because this number is for reservation only. So, I'm sitting here, on hold on the number *******845 for 38 minutes and I was hung up!
My lesson with Cheapoair is... if you're buying, they will be happy and hurry to sell you a product, get your money and will not offer any other assistance that they charged you for.

Always great service with Cheap-O Air and their airfare is affordable. I just wish there wasn't so many hidden fees (baggage, seat selection, carry-on fees).
Good prices, but pushy customer service add on upselling and impossible to get customer service when I need to ask if it is possible to cancel or get credit for one of the three tickets as our travel plans have changed and one of the three of us has to fly out on a different flight.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
Answer: Security may not be an issue but they can cheat you by hiding information you should know. I would suggest to not use them and their customer service personnel are also worst I have ever seen.
