Very poor customer service. Every follow up call was disappointing. You are on hold for almost an hour to hear someone says "I need to transfer you ", then you wait even longer without any response. Completely different from my experience with this company over the last decade.

WARNING: AVOID CHEAPOAIR AT ALL COST! This company review does not even deserve a single star. Save yourself from headache. You think you'll be saving but you're not. I paid for my choice seat and they give you a different seat, you try to call them, you won't get through. I had to pay for my choice seat again straight through the airline. I paid extra to get priority for customer care. Customer care is non-existent. You want a refund, you're on cue for 1 hour and when you get through, you get transferred to a different department and be on cue for another 2 hours. At one point while waiting on cue, I got a satisfaction survey without even talking to someone and the call drop. And don't think you can get faster through their online chat. Chat wait times is as bad except without dealing with very thick southeast asian accent that's so difficult to understand, and you get transferred around and be on cue again and again. It's so bad I fell asleep and woke up 2.5 hours later and still on cue in the chat. Do yourself a favour, book straight with the airline and save yourself from troubles, headache and wasted time. I actually spent more because of their added charges, paid seats that you don't get and a paid premium customer service that in non-existent.

I was hold on the line for hours trying to call for 3 days and no response! After all just once someone answered who was located in another country with no understanding of the locations, no correct information, not being to help at all! And finally tried their online chat! It took about an hour to some agent replied! She types a sentence and disappears! I'm still waiting here online! It's so much frustrating and time wasting! I am never going to use CheapOair. And I have about $250 credit with them which I practically am not able to use and will be expired. Because the customer service is really unaccessible!

It's the worst ticket selling company. I bought a ticket for June 27,2022 and they changed my ticket status to pending and they don't want to fix the problem. I spent hours on hold on the phone, they throw the ball to Air Canada, who says cheapoair should fix it
If you like you sanity wand money never use these crooks. I used them to book a flight and due to Covid all my plans including hotel canceled my reservations, so I had to cancel my flight. They refused to refund my money and FORCED me into a credit. They also attempted to charge me $75 to cancel the reservations! After being hung up on (4 times) because I was upset about how I was being treated and I wouldn't allow them to charge me $75 for a cancellation that was out of my control, the 5th rep charged me $20.98 to cancel my flight $5 for each ticket they booked and $50 each way for luggage/insurance (didn't get back this fee). 5 months later I'm trying to use the credits I was forced to take, they claim they have no record of my credit or the flights THEY BOOKED ME ON! I was sent to their "accounting department" and of course I'm on hold (they also put you on hold to get you to hang up) for 2 hrs and 45 mins. Then I had to send them my bank statements showing when they took the month out of my account! I gave these crooks the time, date, airline, and gate numbers and they still didn't have any record of any of the information I gave them, as if I made it up. These people are the worst ever! Save yourself the time and money and use any other app but this one

I have been on the phone since last week trying to find about refunds from COVID cancelled Flights. Your Company never bothered to update me on this. I have been placed on hold and hung up on numerous times, and I've been transferred to Supervisors and got hung up on. I have made this complaint already. It shouldn't take any customer 2 years to get a status on refunds, certificates and credits. I will never use your service again, mainly due to the Rude agent that basically told me to shut up so he could talk. I asked for a supervisor. You also need to tell the customer what they are actually paying for the ticket they purchased and not all your calculations for the 2 years that you show as the billing total amount. I already have an inquiry into my Credit Union to verify what you are actually charging. $644.74 Total billing charges for a one-way ticket, when the actual cost is $271.39. It also states underneath that the full $644.74 will be collected, in multiple charges to my credit card. This is totally wrong. If you want to create a Billing tracking for 2 years, then do it in house and don't send it to the customer as THEIR BILLING TOTAL! So I have an Itinerary and Billing Receipt showing that you will collect $644.74. So correct this! I want a receipt from your Company showing the actual amount that you are charging for my flights. And I want it ASAP! A customer shouldn't have to ask for this. I will follow this up with a letter to your Corporate office. If I could have not given a star, that would be my Honest rating.

I purchased 2 tickets from CheapOair back in March, My ticket got cancelled 3 times apparently due to weather. Therefore, I had to cancel the whole trip. I requested for refund and CheapoAir processed the refund back in March 11th and charged me the service fee. Then told me I will get my money back in 1 to max 2 months. It has been almost 3 months now and I still have not received my hard-earned money back. I have been calling for past 3 weeks to follow up, and stay on very long hold every time I call. I called over 15 times already, the billing department keeps telling me, scheduling department has to take care of it and they asked me to allow them 48-72 for call back every time. They don't call back, Finally after calling so many times, the scheduling department calls me 10 days ago and told me they contacted the airline and waiting for respond. Today when I called back no update nothing.
I work and I have a family, I can not call every single day and waste so much time being on hold. I want my refund back. It has been almost 3 months. This is so unethical.
I have been using CheapoAir for 9 years now and that will never change. Its super easy and so convenient. Also I have used their consumer service and they've always been kind and helpful. I always recommend them to friends and family.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
