When you have to cancel a flight be prepared for every stall tactic in the book. Phone calls get dropped. If they call you back it's for one ring so it registers in their system then they drop the call. Calls to a supervisor are begging for the call to be dropped. If you actually get lucky and reach an agent really working to get the issue resolved, just know that they must put it through a supervisor… call dropped. If you actually get a supervisor they will tell you that the entire process must start over and be done in writing step by step. We will call you back in 48 hours.
Can you get a cheaper ticket? Maybe. Is it worth it? NO WAY! Do yourself a favor and block their website do you're not even tempted. I have even mentioned language barrier issues and constant placating. At least you are verbally kissed first. Stay away!

I am a long-time CheapOAir customer and I have experienced very few problems.
I've had the worst round trip in my entire traveling throughout the years. I live in Chicago and I've been traveling to Greece very often for a long long time, but this trip was the very worst. I called Cheapoair and talked to an agent to book my trip. I asked the agent to give an aisle seat and he confirmed it. Few days before my trip I received an email from Air France to assign the seats, which meant that the Cheapoair agent did not assigned any seats on my behalf. Useless, worthless and unreliable. The hell with them...
Very affordable, and the whole process have met our expectation. Everything was fine until you try to select your seats with you travel mate, money, money, money to select seats ahead of time.

I got cut off on call with first agent. When I called back and booked with second agent, price was $100 more. Oh well. Whole system is confusing. OBTW first agent had my birthday wrong but for some reason couldn't correct it.

Answer: I would not use Cheapo under any circumstances. Look at the 698 (!) complaints at the Better Business Bureau website. They hide under the name Fareportal, which is the parent company.
Answer: Don't use them. Book through the airline. I paid to select my seats, then a week before my flight they put me and my companion in the middle seats in different rows!
