I initially purchased round-trip tickets for $200, but the confirmation email reflected the wrong travel dates. When I called to correct it, the representative told me the cheapest available flight was $700. I declined and asked to cancel so I could rebook online myself for $340, which I was seeing at that moment. Suddenly, she "found" a round-trip flight for $460 and urged me not to cancel. This alone made me question the honesty of their pricing. After reluctantly agreeing, I was charged $500 total, not the $460 quoted. This kind of inconsistent pricing and pressure to avoid cancellation is misleading and unacceptable. It's clear I wasn't given truthful information at the start. This company is HORRIBLE — deceptive pricing, poor communication, and a frustrating experience from start to finish.

Despicable Ticketing Agency

This is the most despicable organization in the travel industry that I've ever run into, and that says a lot. TLDR Version: While I was in the middle of an itineray, a family member died; I had to change airline tickets. CheapFlightsFares refused to help, instead telling me I needed to work directly with the airline. When the airline said they'd extend a bereavement refund, CheapFlightsFares expected me to split it with them. They only relented when they were faced with the possibility of me going legal... which was when I found out that they'd been sued by another airline for scamming refunds & overcharging travelers. DON'T USE THIS FIRM. Detailed Version:
-- My wife & I traveled across the country to help her parents relocate from their retirement community to an assisted living facility. We were helping pack & move their belongings, get medical check-ups done, finish paperwork, etc. -- At dinnertime the evening before I was scheduled to leave, my father-in-law suddenly passed away. It was shocking and very difficult for my wife & her mother. Later that night, I reached out to CheapFlightsFares to find out what I should do about missing my return flight, which was booked for the next morning. Clearly, I wouldn't be making it, and the only way for me to reach CheapFlightsFares was via an on-line chat session. -- The chat CSR kept saying that the airline's policy would dictate whether or not or to what degree I could mitigate the costs of these changes, but the CSR could not point me to where I might review that policy. Other than that, the CSR said there was nothing for me to do; I should just skip my scheduled return flight and contact the airline when I had a death certificate to prove my father-in-law had died. -- After doing what CheapFlightsFares' CSR told me and getting a death certificate, I contacted CheapFlightsFairs by telephone and was told that I needed to work directly with the airline. Once again, CheapFlightsFares couldn't tell me how. I contacted the airline (which is very difficult if you're not buying tickets) and got help filing a "claim" on their website, which I did. -- Two weeks later, I got an email from the airline, which offered their condolences and said I'd be granted a bereavement refund of 100% of my flight fares. Unfortunately, the card to which the refund was being applied didn't belong to me; it was CheapFlightsFairs' card. -- I contacted CheapFlightsFairs by telephone again, and the CSR suddenly became incompetent; I asked for a supervisor. The "supervisor" offered to refund half of the amount the airline said they were sending me. After arguing with the "supervisor" for several long minutes, I suggested this might be an interesting conversation for my attorney; the "supervisor" immediately became more cooperative. -- After getting off the phone with the "supervisor," an internet search revealed that CheapFlightsFares had been sued by a different airline because the ticketing agency had (several times) tried to obtain refunds or other change fee waivers on behalf of customers who needed to change their travel plans mid-itinerary or at the last minute. The lawsuit alleged that CheapFlightsFares made misrepresentations to the airline to obtain these discounts/waivers/refunds but then did not return those funds to the travelers for whom they were supposed to benefit. -- The next day, I received a call from CheapFlightsFares; the "manager" who called me apologized "for the confusion" and said he would make sure I received the entire refund offered by the airline. That money was deposited to my account two weeks later. It seems clear that CheapFlightsFares would not have returned the entire amount extended as a bereavement refund by the airline if I'd not pushed the issue, possibly if I'd not discussed the idea of involving my attorney. Instead, they tried to renegotiate the terms of my purchase in the face of the loss of a family member. What a despicable business.

SCAM Bait & Switch Company

This company makes you think you have booked great tickets and will even send an email via their "sister" company "Travelsntickets" but the airline confirm and ticket numbers are not legit as you find out when trying to choose a seat via the actual airline you think you have tickets on. The actual airline said they didn't even have a flight at that time of from that city and never had. Instead Cheapflightfares waits for 2-3 days and then call you back to say the flight was cancelled and then try charging more for a different flight. If you don't bite they charge a $150+ cancel fee. Alternately if you figure out the scam within 24 hours of your booking (after discovering you don't actually have a booked flight with said airline), they will tell you that they can only give you credit for future flights booked through them or that you have to pay a fee. If you push back and tell them about the Department of Transportation's 24 hour refund law, they will put you on hold for over 10 minutes and transfer you to multiple people all trying to give the same lie, "The ticket you booked was a (fill in the blank here) so does not qualify for a full refund" then finally they say that someone named Simon is now assigned and will call back within 3 hours (and never does). If you call enough times and repeat you are privy to the 24 hour law, eventually they might give you the full refund (which will take 7 days). I had to make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau before getting promised my refund which may never come.

I booked a flight through CheapFlightsFares at 3 pm and immediately received a text giving me a booking ID and saying the confirmation was sent by email. 3 hours later I received an email saying they had tried to contact me (I have no record of any calls) and when I called back, I was told my flight was 'sold out', at which point the agent tried to upsell me on flights that were $300 - $1,100 more expensive. The entire operation felt unprofessional and the bait and switch pricing felt like a scam. Please be very careful with booking through this 'agency'. I've learned my lesson and will avoid them and spread the word.

They are a bait and switch company. They offer a fare, take your card info and then call you telling you that the fare isn't available any longer.

Nightmare booking

After I booked a flight with this company they called me back more than 24 hours later to say that the price had increased $1,800. In my opinion this is a way to scam customers. They offered no help whatsoever. Don't waste a second with these clowns

I bought a ticket with flex pay! Then cheap flights customer service contacted me saying the flight I booked is no longer available. They wanted to change my date flight and charge me an additional USD 300. I couldn't pay the extra 300 so they cancel my flight when I specifically told them I don't want them to cancel. They couldn't find a solution so they cancel my flight leaving me with an extra debt of 200 in interest rate with flex pay. The customer guy was extremely unprofessional by canceling my flight without my authorization and leaving me with a debt of 200 in interest fees. I never authorized the cancellation and they sent me an email saying that it was cancelled because I requested it which is a lie. This website post misleading flight prices so you can buy it and then they tell you it's no available anymore so
They can book another flight for you and they charge you more for it. A big scam.

My bank declined the payment because the supplier was not deemed reliable. After checking the company and reading several negative reviews, I decided not to proceed with them without having spent any money.

Despite my email explaining that I wished to cancel, they called me four times and sent five emails within two days. During one of the calls, I requested the cancellation of the order, mentioning an issue with my bank without going into detail. The person, who had difficulty communicating in English, insisted several times on knowing the exact reason for my banking issue, despite my responses.

After ten minutes of insistence, I had to hang up. Their service, unprofessional and pushy, gave me the impression of a scam rather than a legitimate business. In the end, I am glad I did not proceed with them

Awful service. Stay away from this company!
We bough a ticket on 8/11 and received an email today 8/15 that the trip was cancelled without any warning. The price is now more than double and customer service was of no help. He kept telling us that they try to contact us but I reviewed and there is no lost calls, messages or emails received until the time of the cancellation.

Issues Arose but were Resolved
July 31, 2024

The two issues were (1) there was a very long delay in receiving the E-Ticket, (2) there was no information provided as to how to reserve a seat, and going to the airline's website did't work. Both issues were resolved after I contacted CheapFlights. The process was not as straightforward as booking through the airline. On the other hand, the saving was fairly significant.
