I tried modifying my reservations but I was told that I wasn't able to modify. I was told I would have to pay the full amount for 2 people. I explained to customer service the second person was not able to attend but I was informed I would still have to pay for 2 people. This is the worse customer service experience I have had. My trip doesn't start until 3 weeks and this company is already asking for the full amount, won't let me modify or remove the second person from the trip. Customer service is the worse. Book with Priceline, booking and etc because they let you modify, cancel, and give you a refund 1-3 days before your trip. This is a scam company. They charge fees and other extra charges if you try to cancel or modify. They don't give refunds. They give you credit that has to be used by a certain deadline. Please don't book with them. I've called customer service serval times and they all have given me the same answer. This is a foreign company and scamming people for their money.

Amstar, Breathless Cancun Soul Resort and Spa, and Cheap Caribbean have on all counts failed us on our return from our All-Inclusive vacation. I was just offered a cheap pittance (USD $4.80) of our "unused service" after were left at the resort by our transportation to the airport.

It started with the beginning of the vacation where the flight to Orlando was delayed by 3 hours meaning we would miss our flight to Cancun. I sent an email to Cheap Caribbean since it was 3:30 AM asking for guidance for what to do and it still remains unanswered. I was forced to pay out of pocket for two tickets direct to Cancun from Frontier. But I get it, travel delays happen, so I did not raise a fuss at the time so I could enjoy my vacation.

But then the transportation back from the resort to the airport was scheduled for 2:10 PM on 1/19. On the advice of the Amstar representatives, my partner and I were at the door of the resort waiting for transportation by 2:00 PM. I asked the staff at the front desk how I can find my transportation and they motioned for us to sit inside and then told us they would call for us when they arrived.

We patiently waited there in the lobby until 2:20 when I went to talk to the Amstar representatives about our transportation and found out that they had left without us. Neither the driver nor the front desk staff searched for us or called for us despite us sitting 10 feet away from the door. We did not leave the line of sight of any of the staff. I asked several times when our transportation was coming and was assured I would be called for. I left my number with Amstar so they could call us if they needed to find us and I was never communicated with.

After determining they could not transport us, Amstar told us to take a taxi. We wanted to be at the airport early for our flight precisely due to incidents like this, so we followed their advice. Before leaving, I asked the front desk staff at Breathless whether the taxis take credit card or not because we did not have any cash. I was assured that the taxi would take credit card so neither me nor my girlfriend brought any cash.

After being delivered to the airport by the taxi, the taxi driver revealed to us he did not have a credit card reader. He tried to get another taxi driver to help pay with their credit card reader but only if they charged us double the fee. After attempting to negotiate for 20 minutes, my girlfriend had to withdraw ~800 pesos from an ATM to pay the taxi driver.

All of this was due to the failure of Amstar, Breathless Cancun Soul Resort and Spa, and Cheap Caribbean. It is only by our own planning that their incompetence did not lead to us missing our flight.

My wife and I are still on our vacation with Cheapcaribbean.com. Wow are these people horrible. We booked and paid in full our vacation over 2 months ago. We booked an all inclusive on their site. We are not web designers, but we are not illiterate and know what we booked. When we got to our destination, the hotel had no record of our reservation. My wife had to prove to the hotel we were suppose to be there. After they finally found our reservation, we found that it was not "all inclusive". When we called cheapcaribbean.com customer service, they stated there is no way they sold us all inclusive. When I asked how much it would be to add, they said they could not because we were already at the hotel. When I asked them what they could do. I am not stretching this at all. They said they could get us a flight back home without additional funds. Mind you, we already paid for a round trip ticket so all they were offering was to call the airline and change the flight date. They would also not refund our money for the hotel. These jerks did not even offer a worthless coupon. When I asked to talk to the customer service manager, I was told it would do no good and that the manager would tell me the same thing. The only way I would buy from this company again is if I purchased a vacation for a felon that just killed my family. I hope as many people read this as possible and stay away if you want a nice and honest company to help you with a vacation for your family. I have screen shots of our reservations, so trust me; this is a situation where the company messed up and was unwilling to even try to make it right. You better believe this info is going to hit my personal and business LinkedIn and Facebook accounts. No one should have to go through such an ordeal. By the way. We had to spend an extra 2100 US for the all inclusive dining.

Cheap Caribbean charged me for a 12yo child that was supposed to stay free at The Crown Paradise Club resort in Cancun, Mexico. The hotel's website states that children 12yo and younger stay free. This information and the child's age is on the receipt from Cheap Caribbean.com. Cheap Caribbean.com never responded to my many emails regarding the charges and they were VERY unprofessional. They hung up on me when I was at the hotel trying to dispute the charge and they told me that they had withdrawn funds from my account without my approval. The hotel refused to refund or acknowledge the overpayment. It appeared that this was normal practice for Cheap Caribbean.com and the Crown Paradise Club resort in Cancun, Mexico, as the other party that I was with and another party that was checking into the hotel had similar issues. DO NOT USE CHEAP CARIBBEAN.COM. THEY ARE A FRAUD AND THEY ARE GUILTY OF FALSE ADVERTISMENT! THEY ARE A SCAM! This site does not deserve the 1 star that I had to give them!

I'm going to try to make a very, very long story short. I initially thought the website was user friendly. After purchasing a vacation to Cancun for 5, I noticed the return flight was not what I had clicked on. I had 24 hours to make any changes so I called the same day. The rep assured me no problem, changed our flight and sent me a new confirmation. The next day I went on to the Delta site to choose our seats, and the old flight was still there and continued to be for the next 5 days. I called Cheap Carribbean and they said everything on their end was fine, it's on Delta's end. I chatted with Delta twice and they said since it was booked through a 3rd party, they could not touch the tickets. I also called Aeromexico because the return flight started through them; they said it takes a while for the "computers to sync." I spent a total of 10 hours between Delta and Cheap Carribbean trying to get it fixed. It took 5 days and multiple phone calls for Cheap Carribbean to admit the change HAD NOT BEEN MADE. I was even told the screen the regular reps see is not the actual screen that shows the flight change. WHAT?! Not one time did they offer to compensate me for the HOURS that I spent trying to correct THEIR mistake. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, DO NOT USE THEM. I was constantly put on hold, the reps were VERY difficult to understand and we would have ended up stranded in a foreign country had I not pursued the issue. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to have had the wrong flight, in Mexico, and put on hold for hours. Go through a legit travel agent.

Stuck in the Middle
April 12, 2021

As Stealers Wheel said it best "clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right..." I had booked a travel package through Cheapcaribbean last year and after it blew up due to Covid I was given a travel credit for a future vacation for my wife and I. So far so good. I went to rebook it for this year (June-28-July3) using the room credit and the flight credit (American Airlines). After paying the difference I thought I was set. The problem is that when I went to check our seat assignments my wife was not assigned a seat for two legs of the flight. I can't change it online since there is not a seat to change. She does have a ticket but was never assigned a seat when Cheapcaribbean made the reservations. I contacted American Airlines and was told that Cheapcaribbean had to fix it since they booked the flight. They gave me two other options... American Airlines said I could pay $50 for them to assign her a seat or we could wait and get a seat assignment at the airport. Neither of those options are attractive but I guess paying the $50 is the better option of the two. When I call CheapCaribbean they of course deny any fault and say there is nothing they can do to fix it there is no supervisor to speak too and that I should call American Airlines and around and around we go... stuck in the black hole of bad customer service.

It's not the money as $50 is not going to break me (though as a Virginia state employee working in a veteran care center married to a public school teacher we don't have loads of money) but it is infuriating how poorly I have been treated by both firms as a customer. Nobody could be bothered to care, especially at Cheapcaribbean which is hard to believe is my "Agent" in the scenario. I doubt they know what the word means.

E have used Cheap Caribbean for many vacations, and if everything goes well, you will be fine. But, if there are any problems, good luck! You are on your own to make it work! We had a trip planned for November 2020 with Cheap Caribbean and also purchased enhanced insurance because we were told we could cancel for any reason and get a full refund. COVID hit and it was not safe to travel, so I called in September to cancel and our Hell began! When I called, I was told we would only get 75% of our money back, even with the insurance. I was even told to call the insurance company myself! Instead of loosing any money, I put the trip on credit with Cheap Caribbean so I wouldn't loose any of our money. When I called to rebook, I was told the credit had to be used by one date and the airline credit had to be used 5 months before that. They told me there was nothing they could do to extend my flight credit and I would have to call the airlines myself. Cheap Caribbean was my booking agent! They took my money, and yet when there was a problem, I was put in charge of calling all agencies involved. After more than 32 phone calls and emails and more than 38 hours on hold with Cheap Caribbean, the airlines, the insurance company, and the transportation company, we finally went on our trip! On top of all the issues, Cheap Caribbean booked us on Spirit airlines and never told us we had to pay extra for carry on bags, boarding passes, and seats! Also, our flight was changed without our knowledge and because of the change, we lost an entire day of our paid vacation. I was asked by one of the many customer service agents what I was asking for and I told her I would like an extra day at the resort to compensate us for the day we lost. That never happened, even though I met someone on the plane who received an extra day from them. On the Cheap Caribbean website it states they"are committed to your satisfaction, from the first click through your entire trip!" They are NOT! They take your money as the booking agent and then you are on your own! I had a contract with Cheap Caribbean and they did not honor it! Do not use them to book your trip!

Sneaky bastards
July 10, 2021

Yeah so these guys trying to take advantage of us because we have an infant that just finally got her passport and and we tried to add her on. And they said some BS on the line of "oh you're gonna have to Void your reservations just to add an infant add an infant to the hotel and flight hotel". If it wasn't for Covid-19 and us having these voucher /refunds We would have completely canceled the entire vacation. But unfortunately if we don't use it we will lose the money & keep it. And keep in mind anyone that says well you have insurance. Yet that doesn't work. Especially for an unknown disease that just popped up. And if anything you would have to at least read yeah it's weed your insurance very insurance very close to see if it actually is see if it actually holds up. Anyways regardless of that we had to call the airport, where the airport only Charges a small fee For transaction which don't really understand it because don't really understand it because infants are free but whatever. We just attach an infant where the infant doesn't require a seat nor Need its own personal room, and eat a lot of food. They tried to bull$#*! us and have us cancel the reservation. Which keep in mind they want us to register at a higher price Since we set this all up 4 months ago and you want us to redo all of this in 2 weeks before we have to leave get the hell out of here. Also the wait times too damn long on the phone I'm calling from another country pick up your phone and emailing them it takes forever For them to even respond back to you. No more my wife almost had a nervous break just dealing with this is break just dealing with this nonsense.

I originally booked my vacation in May and ended up having to cancel the day before due to personal reasons. When we cancelled we were told the only thing that we were being penalized for was one night stay at the hotel the rest would be on a credit. When August came and we were ready to rebook we were told that we were charged a one night stay of $487, $400 from the airline, and $90 transportation fee. I spoke to 3 different people due to dropped calls and not receiving a call back from anyone I was originally talking to. I had to go through the point of having them review my account in attempts to correct the lies I was told about all of the fees. Once we got to the hotel we immediately realized that the hotel was outdated and looked NOTHING like the pictures that were shown at booking. It was outdated, dirty, had a smell, and the furniture broke on us durning our stay. The food in the hotel was also mediocre. We asked several times to be moved to another hotel or room and nothing happened. Even with the inconvenience Cheap Caribbean and the hotel wanted to charge us a two night cancellation fee to switch hotels or $60 a night to change rooms when the furniture and cleanliness was their fault. This wasn't a regular vacation it was a birthday/honeymoon trip. We were told that if we went and toured the newer hotel that they would be able to work out us switching since they owned the hotel as well and that turned out to be a timeshare presentation and since we turned it down they told us they couldn't do anything for us. This experience was draining and a headache and I will not be doing it again through CheapCaribbean, who is also owned by the same people the hotel is owned by. Way to take care of your customers.

No Problem!
May 21, 2023

In April 2023, I booked a week all inclusive vacation in Cancun for May travel. I didn't read any reviews at that time until a friend told me of all the bad reviews. I was skeptical but since I have already booked the trip, I couldn't cancel. A week before my travel, I confirmed my air tickets with the airline and no issue. May 14th was my travel date, got to DFW airport and checked in my luggage. No issue. When I arrived in Cancun, Amstar Transportation was easy to find right outside to baggage claim. I booked a shared ride and was lucky my hotel was the first stop. The bus was cleaned and cool air. We arrived to The Grand OASIS Cancun and was directed to private Amstar check-in room with air conditioning, champagne and snacks. We did have some issues with the Grand OASIS Cancun but it has nothing to do with Cheap Caribbean. The hotel advertised 9 restaurants but nearly 2/3 have additional cost. They are not included in the price but they are supported to be all inclusive resort. Another issue was the hotel have lots of cabanas around the pools and down the beach but they are all mark reserved every day. They charge 1300 peso which is about $73US, but the concierge told me $104 whereas Amstar is $90. I didn't want to waste my money and no one did. For the whole week I was there, 99% of all cabanas are emptied. This is a terrible business from the hotel. Lastly, there are Peacocks at the hotel and they made loud noise at night, all night, and every night. They will wake you up. Hotel is beautiful with many pools, bars, and hammocks. Security is good at the hotel Checked out day was smooth. Amstar picked us up to the airport. We have no problem was so ever with Cheap Caribbean.
