Chase
August 6, 2022

Chase bank law dept. is the absolute worst! My sibling and I are trying to collect our inheritance from our deceased parents. They had a will but because "trustie" wasn't in the wording we now had to get a lawyer and the courts involved. No one is contesting the will. I'm so done with Chase and don't have one good word to say about them! Stay clear of them….

Widows nightmare
August 5, 2022

I was widowed and even with a Will and Trust Chase has been extremely difficult to work with. The bank part took me five hours to get an address to send a deposite on. I needed to send it due to not having a local bank or atm. But that was the easy part of working with Chase. The really difficult part was getting a death certificate copy of the Will and trust to stay found at Chase. I sent several copies and finally someone gave me an address to email a copy to. This took over two months of calling to get. Their probate division is really a mess. You call in and have to leave a call back message. The call back comes in as a spam call. That makes it so much easier and if you miss the call you start over with calling to get on hold to finally get to leave the message. In the mean time they cancel the automatic payments on cars then they refuse to talk to you as the spouse widow or personal representative until they get lose and don't find several copies. Then it is smooth sailing. It took over two months to even get them to hold onto the information and then I had to call back. I now have the information I needed and plan to pay off the cars cancel my credit card and the account. Oh and I was told that since the account did not have sufficient funds to pay the DFAS back they were holding onto a partial payment until there was enough money to make the full payment. That was said in spite of the letter I received from them telling me they had sent a partial payment to the DFAS. So in short the letter is a lie or the employee lied. I am now sending a check to Chase that is likely going to get lost or not deposited into the account. I have no faith in this company. Oh and before I stop just try to call a branch bank. They either don't answer the number listed in the internet or the call is sent back into the black hole of customer service who can't really help you but will transfer your call so you can be on hold. I challenge the board members of this company to try this after the death of their spouse and without any additional help or identification as a board member.

Messed up my credit
August 3, 2022

Several months later, I contributed to a GoFundMe for a child with a devastating progressive neurological illness, a kindergartner at my daughter's new school, whose family was raising funds for a new wheelchair and out of state medical care. I made the payment through my PayPal account. I'd forgotten that it was connected to the credit card I'd paid off. Because I didn't know I'd charged something on it, I didn't make payments to that card. Chase claims they sent me letters. I know I did not receive any. I'm very careful about checking my mail. I pick it up from my mailbox and open it immediately. I pay bills right away. I would never have ignored a late notice. I also didn't receive any calls or texts from Chase until the text that alerted me the account was overdue when it was too late. I'm not sure why they didn't call or text be earlier when clearly they were able to do so. Chase will not help me remove the late payments from my credit report. I'm so angry that I've charitable donation has messed up my credit during this all around crappy year. Chase is a terrible bank.

Australian Business
July 29, 2022

We have had a Chase bank account for over 14 years and recently one Director left the business. Because the remaining Director lives in Australia we could not continue to use the account and have had to move the funds to a different bank. This is not a legal issue, simply a bank policy. We were advised over the phone that the account could continue but signatures were required that had to be done in person and the director flew from Australia to the US to sign the necessary documents. However arriving at the branch he was told that the account would be closed in 1 month and that the funds could not be wired to Australia or a check provided. We have easily set up a new account with a competitor bank (not in person) and will move the account balance this week. Chase has chased away a good customer and $millions in business. Not good enough.

Worst bank to deal with. Opened a new Total Checking account with nothing but problems from the start. First, it was a W-9 problem and I had to go back to the bank with another signed hard copy. Two weeks later they send me a letter requesting me to fill out another W-9. They are now closing my account after two months stating a check I electronically deposited was a fraudulent check because they could not verify the name and phone number. I went to the branch manager with the check explaining to him that this is from one of my tenants who has been with me for 12 years and owns over 40 franchise stores. This tenant has different corporate names for stores in North and South Carolina and if you call the phone number on the check they will verify that the company name that is on the check is part of their main company, but instead, they refused, saying they have their methods of check verification and the phone number doesn't match the name. All they would say is it is a fraudulent check and we are closing your account, but you won't get the existing money for at least 3 weeks. All they had to do was call the number and ask them about the check but they refused. For the last 12 years, I have deposited this franchisee's check in my PNC Bank account and my United Community Bank account with no questions or problems about the corporate name on the check. I only opened the Chase account because we moved and Chase Bank was nearby. Most banks would just put a hold on the check until it fully clears. Well, surprise my tenant just informed me the check cleared yet they are still canceling my account. I called Chase and was told they will reverse the check and still close the account. What kind of sense does this make? You would think they would welcome new business but from my 45 years of experience dealing with banks, Chase Bank does not care about their customers and is by far the worst bank I have ever dealt with.

Worse banking experience ever talking to an agent who is clearly at home and not in an office sounded like he was just getting out of the bed and maybe still lying in bed The guy didn't do anything but place me on hold after telling him I had a fraud purchase made on my account on the phone today a while hour for nothing but to sit on hold until I eventually hung up.

Poor switching service. None of my direct debits got switched over, I had to do them all myself.
Alex called me and apologised gave me £30 for my inconvenience. He explained what the problem was with the switch and said its been rectified and asked if there was anything he could do further.
I explained that I still had one outstanding DD to complete with DVLA for my monthly van tax. "Leave it with me" he said "it's the least we can do"... so I left it for him to do... 3 week later (today) got a letter through the post telling me my van has no road tax! I still had faith in Alex and chase bank that there's a delay in the system so I phoned DVLA and guess what... I have no DD set up on the system...
The only thing this bank has for me is a better interest rate than my other bank...
Poor service... incompetent staff... incompetent switching service and I fear for my money... as soon as I find another bank paying the same interest rates am moving again...

Chase services
July 21, 2022

By far the worse customer service I have ever had. It is impossible to contact a person the automated system just sends you around in circles not answering any sort of complex questions. I see why their rating is so low, and I honestly wish I could give 0 stars. Last time I get a chase card, and I will be canceling.

I have been nothing g other then respectful. I have been hung up on multiple times by even supervisors. Ran around in circles, put on hold for hours before being hung up on. Even supervisors are clueless with even the most basic questions. Lied to... Predatory fees without merit... The list goes on and on.
I have been very respectful, never unprofessional. Chase has been an absolute nightmare. I am not the type to give a business review but doing with Chase has been a major mistake amd thier actions are absolutely asanine and beyond unacceptable acceptable. Too many issues to list

I AM SO UPSET RIGHT NOW! I have had Chase for years! I first had the Sapphire CC then upgraded to the Reserve a few years ago. All my Credit Cards from Chase and other banks have at least a $20k limit. My Chase reserve had a limit of $25k. When I logged into my account, THEY LOWERED MY LIMIT TO $1,100! WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! I have not had a limit that low since my early twenties is 12 years ago! My card had a high balance WHICH I PAID IN FULL a week ago. They said they did a "random credit check" and due to high balances the lowered my card to $1,100. I have NEVER been sent to collections nor have I ever not paid my card. The fact that my loyalty and excellent payment history has LITTLE significance with Chase is a complete SLAP IN THE FACE! Mind you, I paid $500 now $650 annually for this card! You mean to tell me that Chase expects me to keep my account and pay $650 for an $1100 credit limit?! I DONT THINK SO! My other banks and CCs have NEVER treated me this way. RUN AWAY FROM CHASE! They don't care about their customers.

About two months ago I encountered a fraud / identity theft issue with Chase Bank. I spoke to 4 different departments within Chase and was confident that the proper issues were handled under identity theft. Wrong nothing was filed within Chase. Since then speaking to different departments has proven pointless and accessing the proper documents to support my claim and enable me to file identity theft with my insurance company has reached dead ends. Chase is at fault as to the way things transpired with the identity theft and the way they issued "reversals" on my account. I have filed a complaint with CFPB who in turn gave it to the FDIC for investigation. An independent public firm is also involved to investigate Chase and potentially questionable business practices. My end opinion is Chase does not care in the least about their customers.
