I ordered a car and was expecting delivery. I was waiting for over 4 hours. I called to Carvana to find out they cancelled my order without notifying me. I requested a refund and now they are giving me the run around I didn't cancel in time. I called numerous times to relate they are the ones that cancelled my order and what is the problem. I now have to go into my bank branch and fill out paperwork to dispute the fee. No I wonder many people they have done this to and can imagine the MILLIONS of dollars they are ripping off of people, I would not recommend them at all.

Don't Do It
May 8, 2023

The worst experience ever. It was beyond frustrating, lengthy, meaning price continues to increase, you upload everything which is super basic, like license, but you get an email to call & confirm but no one ever picks up. You might get a text days later but it's not even remotely helpful as it just says to call. There is not one reason that this is the better way to buy or trade your car

Run like hell
They sell junk and it's all lies about how wonderful they make it.
I gave the pile of crap back!
Never cleaned
Brakes were grinding.
All scratched up
Silver rock is rude as hell on the phone
And you have 7 days to figure out what to do as silver rock burns up your time to give it back!
I gave the dirty pile of junk back!
All the advertising is BS! They don't recondition a dam thing!
Look at the photo,,, MISSING LUG BOLT WHEN DELIVERED ON THERE TRUCK
The delivery driver said,,"I can't believe I was told to deliver it the way it is"
I feel sorry for the people on the phone that get screamed at for there company selling junk!
Keep selling junk that a normal dealer doesn't want and you all will be jobless
Good luck and never again!
IT'S YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! GO ELSE WHERE AND SAVE THE HEADACHE!

I had a car transferred on the Carvana website to my location. The car arrived a week after it was expected to. The car was not in the condition that the website told me it was. The car was dirty inside and out. The Carvana team tried to clean it up as well as they could in a few minutes. The brakes had been replaced by Carvana and when they were applied it caused the steering wheel to shake. There was still painters tape over the reflector on the front passengers side bumper.? No notes on any repairs or accidents in the report. The next morning after picking the car up the car was leaking some kind of petroleum fluid on the driveway. At this point I realized that the car had most likely never been inspected and any reconditioning of the BMW X5 was done by the lowest bidder. There was no number to be found for customer service on the website so I ended up having to chat on line with a representative. The decision was then made by my wife and myself that this was not what we were told was being shipped (condition of interior and exterior) and that it was not in good working mechanical condition. Carvana then would not confirm an appointment time for me to return the car within my seven day love it period. So, I ended up just driving it back to the vending machine showing up without an appointment. Carvana then refused to refund me my $1,190 for the shipping cost. I understand that it is non-refundable but when the car was not what they said it was then they should have refunded my money. It was not that we didn't like the color or something like that, we were lied to about the condition of the car in multiple different ways. Their trade-in value is also horrible. They offered me $3,200 less than CarMax offered. Also, the interest rate offered on the purchase thur Carvana was Twice as high as the rate that CarMax offered. If I could have given this experience a 0 star, I would have. Make up your own mind but for sure this is the first and last time I will ever deal with Carvana.

My car was a few years old but well maintained and ran great. I made the mistake of providing these clowns at Carvana my car's info and expecting a serious offer. Instead they offered around $1,100, about A THIRD of other offers, so I sold the car to a dealership for over $3,100. They continue to pester me over email, now offering $471 (!) for the same car. Prepare to be ripped off if you choose to deal with Carvana.

With a major purchase such as a car you should be able to ask someone questions if you have them not a robot or someone who is a live person but just sends strings of text messages

Buyer / seller beware
April 26, 2023

Unfortunate and disappointing. Was offered a quote for sale of my vehicle. Filled out the questionnaire listing everything concerning vehicle which carvana accepted and confirmed multiple times purchase price and date of pick up. Spent money to have vehicle transported to pick up location only to have them refuse vehicle on said date due to an airbag light that they were made aware of and accepted. Complete waste of time and money not to mention possible loss of another buyer since removed from other sales platforms once I had the purchase confirmation from carvana.

We spoke with a total of 3 carvana representatives 2 via phone and 1 we chatted with as well. We did this In hopes this would help my wife and I understand the carvama experience as this was our first time...But in our experience the "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing"
We selected a vehicle that offered free shipping first off.But they charged us $300 for shipping the vehicle from one partner vendor to another vendor and because they had to do that...The fee comes out of our deposit and is non refundable in the event we don't like the car...

To add insult to injury we had our vehicle scheduled for pick up on a Wednesday evening but because they didn't get the delivery timing down our pick up was delays by 3 days and the only time slot available is one that my wife and I are going to have to miss work for just to go to a "dealership" to pick up our vehicle.

I will say the initial paperwork and preapproval process was great (This is why the 2 stars)...But everything follwing the initial paper work was completely downhill.

Carvana pitches a seemless and efficient experience but overall I'm disappointed in our 1st and potentially last experience with Carvana.

Hope this helps pull the curtain back on the whole Carvana Experience.

I purchased a bmw from carvana. They said it went through inspection, and passed, I drove car 100 miles, engine malfunction warning came on. The car was dirty inside and under the hood. Do not purchase a vehicle from these people, invested 8 hours into this car purchase to get a rotten car, then their repair shop isn't the BMW dealership, it's Monroe and Meinike? We gave car back and purchased from a real dealership.

A week and a half ago, I began the process of trading in my car with Carvana. Within a week and a half, I had to re-submit my income verification, my employment verification, my car insurance information, my payoff information, and I had to reschedule my pick-up 3 times despite giving them everything they asked for and more. I was scheduled to pick up my new car tomorrow morning, but they needed more information, which I provided. I was then told that I was approved and that they needed to confirm one of my paychecks via a phone call and that I would receive my confirmation. At 5:30p.m. I called Carvana to see if they called to confirm my paycheck and was told it wasn't done. The rep then tried to call my place of employment, but no one was there because their shift ended at 5:00 p.m. and I was told that I would have to reschedule. I cancelled my order and removed the car from my insurance. "Hassle Free" my $#*!. I have decided to keep my car so I have to thank Carvana for that, but I will never recommend Carvana or do business with them. If this is their business model, why are they still in business?

I wish I did not buy a car from Carvana. After trying to purchase several cars that are on their site but not actually available I finally settled on one that the day before delivery I was notified it would not come until the following week due to it not passing the smog test. The following week the night before delivery they pushed the date another 7 days ahead because the car was still not working. I picked a different car because I couldn't wait any longer. When this car was delivered the tire pressure light was on and had no tire caps. I took it to a mechanic to have it looked over. There was many things wrong with the car. They must not inspect the cars at all even though it says their cars pass 150 point inspection. I called them and let them know I would keep the car if they fixed what was wrong with it. They did agree to do so but it's been a month and while some things were fixed there is still $980 worth of work that still needs done that their warranty company keeps declining to pay for. My car sounds horrible and I can't use it for what I bought for. I have never been more unhappy with a purchase and really feel like I got screwed over and nobody seems to be willing to help me solve the problem.

I looked at a 2016 BMW and it needed serious repairs so I picked up a 2017 Fiat. Carvana's "Treasury Department" submitted the withdrawal from my bank for the 2016 BMW (some $12,000 more than that of the Fiat). BTW if you see a 2016 BMW M235i white convertible do not buy that car. As soon as I saw the mistake, I informed Carvana as well as my bank. It has taken over a month for Carvana to fix the issue. You can not speak to the "Treasury Department" directly, it goes through their customer service and they will not allow you to speak to them. Why is this important? The Treasury Department are the only people that can rectify their mistake. For over a month, the Treasury Department told the Customer Service Reps to tell me, "They are aware of the mistake and it is being taken care of." These were lies and deception. It took me to contact the BBB to get Carvana to respond finally. However, Carvana was to acquire a pay-off quote as this loan has been accruing interest. So the check is for the original amount of the loan. Guess who eats the interest? Me... Also, I had to apply for another car loan because of Carvana's mistake due to Banking Laws and the percentage rate went up during that time so over the life of the new loan, it will cost me over $400, along with more hits to my Credit Score. But Carvana doesn't care nor do they seem to be concerned about making a person want to be a return customer.

Carvana has a corporate culture of delay and deceit and sarcasm. They made a mistake, and I have too, just do the right thing Carvana, correct it do what you say you are going to do, delay and lie. No one accepts responsibility at Carvana. One thing that is consistent with EVERY employee I have spoken with, is to blame someone else or another department. No one has any power to do anything besides say "I'm so sorry." No wonder why Carvana has never made a profit in all of its years of business except 1 quarter. Until Carvana finally goes out of Business you can be assured I will tell anyone that will listen to my Carvana experience. You really get to know a company when they make a mistake, Carvana has proven itself over and over again that they are horrible at fixing its own mistakes and taking care of the customer. Save yourself a headache and use Varoom, Carmax, etc...

I caution you against doing business with Carvana. The process is far from easy. It's difficult to reach customer service, there are numerous delays with no accountability. Do NOT buy/trade with Carvana!

Westminster Carvana
April 5, 2023

I arrived at the Westminster location at the scheduled time, but I had to wait for the Advocate to show up. He pulled into the lot as I was looking over the car. We met in the lobby, and he told me that I need to sign the e-documents. It took about 25 minutes for the Carvana app to function properly. I finally get the documents signed, and I waited for the advocate to return. Another advocate eventually came out to tell me that I have to reschedule for tomorrow because they have other people coming in and they need to prepare for them. I told him I will not reschedule. I was still well within the 60 minute appointment timeframe. I told him I will cancel the order if I cannot get the car today because it makes no sense to reschedule when I am already here. I also reminded him that it was not my fault that the Carvana app was sluggish. He just smirked at me. I asked him why he and the other advocate waited to tell me after I finally got the documents signed. He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I cannot understand why Carvana chose to lose a customer who paid in full because advocates thought the customer took too long to sign the e-documents. I still do not know where the orginal advocate went. I now have to cancel the car insurance on this canceled car and wait for a refund (up to 10 days) before I can start looking for another car. What kind of company allows employees to make these service decisions?

Worst decision
April 5, 2023

Paid top dollar for a car that looked great in photos and was in "perfect shape". New tires, new rear brakes, new front brakes, Front wheel bearing...and $2000 less in my pocket. The tires were absolutely terrible, a blind person could've seen that...but "they meet all state requirements" what a joke. Do yourself a favor, go to a dealership. You may feel salespeople are annoying BUT at least you can see and find these things before it's dumped in your driveway...AND you can speak to a HUMAN when something occurs. Hope they enjoyed covid sales because their bleeding will only get worse. Video below wasn't even the WORST one.

They are Bankrupt!
April 5, 2023

I tried to sell my 2016 Grand Caravan with 56,296 mi. On Carvana. They offered a good price. When it came time to pick up the vehicle they never showed up. They offered to return after hours to pick up the car. It is a scam. They have no money. Make sure they come during normal business hours with a bank check that can be verified by your local bank before you allow them to take your car!

The online part was easy but when it came time to getting my vehicle on my scheduled date it became a problem. Got emails and txts all the way up till the day before delivery saying it was coming then last second said they were having issues and it got pushed back over a week. Paying car insurance for a vehicle I don't even have right now. Representative on the phone was no help at all with answering my questions
