It hurts me to write this because I once had a good experience with Carvana. But when a drunk driver blew through a red light and totaled my vehicle, I tried purchasing from Carvana again. The insurance company totaled the vehicle, issued a payment to Carvana and I had gap insurance that covered the remainder of the loan. Carvana insisted that it never got the gap payment and said I would have to pay the thousands left over after the original insurance payment before I could buy another vehicle from them. Sorry, but I don't have thousands of dollars just lying around after a down payment to pay that off and for Carvana to issue a refund whenever it decides to admit that it got the gap money. I've argued for hours with multiple "customer service" people about it, trying to get the hold released from my new purchase, but to no avail. As a result, I've canceled the purchase and I won't go back to Carvana again.
This morning I tried to buy a truck from Caravana. I needed the truck today or tomorrow. I found the one I wanted in their system and it showed a delivery date about a week out. I reached out via chat and indicated I need it today and is that possible The Chat agent assured me that it was and to go ahead and order the truck on line. So I ordered the truck and they refused to change the delivery date even though the truck was available. The reason I was given is that they didn't have an appointment available to deliver the truck. Dumb business model! So I drove To my nearest brick and mortar dealer and paid cash for my new truck.
I have an almost new vehicle, only 10,000 miles on it for which carvana gave me a fair offer. I wanted to trade to save the sales tax. It took over 2 weeks for them to come up with a suitable vehicle for me to purchase and when they finally did I began the purchase. Of course by then the mileage on my trade had gone up but still under 10,000 miles. They reduced their offer by 2k. Are you kidding? I've dealt with them before and this is not the same company. They are blatantly trying to rip people off but I've been in the car business for years and it didn't work with me. I cancelled the purchase and I'm done with Carvana.
I like my purchase so far. However! The car looked great at the dealership. I bought it solely for transporting my wares to craft shows. The stow and go seating was a major selling point for me. When I got home, I tried the stow and go. That's when I noticed the flapper panel was missing from the third row seat. It forms the floor when the seats are closed. I called and got a nice girl but she was very vague about the process. Whose fault would it fall under. They said they would fix it. So I decided to detail the inside to see what else was missing. Anything that wasn't glued down under the third-row seat was gone. A floor vent, basically all the carpet nuts, ripper carpet from the carpet nuts missing, carpet pulled away from the wall and the shoulder strap holder. I got a call last night that started off good, however, it was a kid talking to me like I was his buddy. He was telling me they wanted to get this taken care of. Then the conversation turned to where I had to do the work. Submitting pictures. (which, they were totally aware of since I had sent all the information to the BBB.) Yet once again, I have to jump through hoops. Oh, and on one portion of the description it stated "Keys" in another it stated "Key" guess what I got? My point is if they did their job AS ADVERTISED, the 150 point inspection, they would have noticed all these imperfections and would have posted them. They only posted six. 5 were minor paint dings and 1 was a small fade on the passenger seat. I found Fries, soda on the walls, press on fingernails (gross!) and a lot of dog hair! Along with all the missing parts. Do yourself a huge favor: Inspect the vehicle prior to leaving the lot. Move seats, etc. Because the customer service at this company is not good. At least so far. You shouldn't have to reach out to a third party to get small issues taken care of. Take responsibility for your employees actions. They missed it, you failed to flag it. Fix it.
I had my first repair visit just a couple of days after the "7-day return" it was for cut wires to sensors on the cooling system. The repair shop was not close by and I missed work 2 days and $100 paid in deductible all before my first payment. Before the second payment, another repair visit, 1 day to diagnose and I don't know yet how long to fix! Major electrical issues! Lost pays and another 100 in deductible! I live in a small town I only drive like 5 miles a day so finding these issues already? Makes me very fearful of the future! I only pray I find all the issues before the 100 days! They said I could trade it in for another and guess what! My vehicle value for trade in is 7000 less than I paid for it 8 weeks ago! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
Carvana made an offer "good for seven days" and would not honor it, paying $400 less than the offer only about 36 hours later. They are not an honest company. Be very careful about doing business with them.
Carvana is a joke. We have purchased 7 vehicles from Carvana. We found a different vehicle before any transportation or anything was done to the corvette ordered. We changed to a Land Rover. Delivery on both of these vehicles was weeks away. They refused to refund the shipping fee because it was not within 24 hours. It was 48. The customer service team was rude and provided little assistance. The manager sent me a response and immediately disconnected himself when I asked for reconsideration. I have a law degree and will be seeking remedies so others are not taken advantage of by this company. They will be headed down the same path as Vroom with thesr Business practice. I implore you do not give this company your money. They don't care about their customers only stealing your money.
Beware of purchasing from them. They change things when it benefits them. They will literally give you inoperable things and make you run in circles knowing they provided you with false information. Maybe it's their tactic to waste your 7 day trial period so you're stuck with the trash product they knowing delivered.
This was my first and (last) time purchasing a car from Carvana. It seems great in theory with all their "certified and inspected for quality" mumbo jumbo. When my car arrived I had it checked out by 2 auto shops. Both shops said I needed replacement tires. I called Carvana customer service and the lady assured me that when they inspected the tires at the warehouse it was to Carvana standards. Oh really lady? Then why did 2 auto shops said I needed to replace my tires?! I was charged 100 bucks for my new tires! Anyways after that, my car started having trouble with the air and alignment. Just beware if you're buying from here. I would recommend just going to the dealer and save yourself the headache.
CARVANA DROPPED OFF A MERCEDES BENZ IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH A BLOWN MOTOR! Did simple google search to see if I should be contacting a attorney at this point In time, and it seems I should. I bought a 2014 Mercedes Benz G550 G63 from Carvana on 9/21/2024 for $73,000.2 days after it was dropped off in my driveway the check engine light came on, and it has been to a mechanic 4 times in the last month, and this most recent trip to the mechanic, the bill is at $16,400 worth of work AND SILVERROCK WARRANTY AND CARVANA WONT PAY FOR IT! Serious engine failure work, steering components, tie rods, leaking oil and radiator leak, etc. I thought Carvana did a "150 point inspection". Ha yeah right!
Carvana just keeps telling me to call my third party warranty company Silverrock but they WONT fix the truck. CARVANA WILL NOT HELP, THEY WONT APPROVE THE CLAIM! I have no vehicle it is still at the shop - it's a blown engine it won't move! This whole experience is a scam. There is no way they looked at this truck before dropping it off in my driveway, this is insane! I have a 7 month pregnant wife and I'm without a truck to drive! They REFUSE TO FIX MY TRUCK!
Found a car that fit my needs.
All went well till I got to the financing section.
Was offered financing at 22%...
My credit score is in the 700 range, found this "offer" insulting!
Thanks, SETH
Paid top dollar for a car that looked great in photos and was in "perfect shape". New tires, new rear brakes, new front brakes, Front wheel bearing...and $2000 less in my pocket. The tires were absolutely terrible, a blind person could've seen that...but "they meet all state requirements" what a joke. Do yourself a favor, go to a dealership. You may feel salespeople are annoying BUT at least you can see and find these things before it's dumped in your driveway...AND you can speak to a HUMAN when something occurs. Hope they enjoyed covid sales because their bleeding will only get worse. Video below wasn't even the WORST one.
Car was filthy inside. Spare had only 22 psi.
"Tow package" turned out to only be a tow bar.
Multiple issues trying to buy a vehicle. Last minute problems due to not being able to use a lot of their default answers and arbitrary policies.
Delayed delivery. Delivery changed to "next scheduled" rather than asap.
If the telephone reps got paid based on the number of times they say, "I'm so sorry but that was so messed up " they would be rich.
Carvana sold me a bad car without proper inspection, their 150 point inspection is a Joke. Car hardly has 1000 miles more since I purchased, already have wheel issue, engine is wobbling and alternator just died. Now they are not helping me because I am few days out of 100 days warranty. Should have gone with dealership or local shop. Very bad experience, will not recommend at all.
I just bought a truck, two days before picking it up the delivery was delayed for a "transportation delay". The delay turns out was Carvana wrecked the vehicle and would only disclose to me "some glass was broken" but refused to prove it with photos or add it to the car fax report. Dishonest trash is my best explanation. They are no different than your local used car lot and if you do business with them you deserve what you get!
Purchasing process was smooth. However, the odometer did not agree with the title prior to purchase; the mileage was off by over 1000 miles. While it didn't affect the car's drive train performance - it was a 2021 Toyota Sienna - I find this to be misleading at best and a bait and switch at worst. It prevented me from purchasing the car for over 3 weeks. When this was brought to my attention, Carvana promised me gift cards for the inconvenience, but they never delivered. They were unresponsive on email and phone calls. Frustrating to say the least.
Carvana is an amazing concept in buying cars! No dealing with bull$#*!,, no pesky annoying sales people. It's real honest. You chose what you want and it dispenses it like a candy after depositing a coin!
Can't wait to get my Mercedes and Range Rover delivered soon!
I even bought a nice chunk of stock in it so you know it's good!
Made the online purchase process, which was easy, but then came the delivery! Delivery rescheduled 4 times with no explanation except, "logistics". Every time they delay they make you sign a new sales contract with new dates. My big mistake, I sold my car just prior to the first scheduled delivery. Left without a car, I had to rent a vehicle to get me by. After nearly two weeks of delays the rental was becoming very expensive, and the delivery that was supposed to happen today, 4 May, is rescheduled again, to 7 May. Not trusting that delivery promise anymore and in a position where I cannot afford to stay in a rental I've decided to cancel the Carvana deal and go elsewhere!
Absolutely terrible experience with Carvana. If I could give less than one star, I would. They missed 5 delivery dates, made me wait more than 3 weeks, made me pay for almost a month of insurance when I didn't even have the car. They are not even going to reimburse me or provide any kind of support/compensation for the almost month-long inconvenience they caused. Every time they notified me of the delivery delay just 30 mins - 1 hour before the appointment time and I had to miss work for those appointments several times.
The customer support is awful. They spoke in a very uncaring voice even when I was complaining about all these issues, as if they have nothing to do with it and refused to take any responsibility.
I would not recommend anyone to do any kind of business with them. Complete waste of time and money, not to mention, a huge headache.
I liked the experience dealing with Carvana. I received a better trade in for my car than anywhere else. The only complaint was that they are so busy that it took over a week to deliver the car. The price for delivery was much higher than having the car sent by carrier. The paper work is all done online and very complete. All is needed is insurance card and license. I will buy again from them...
Answer: "Customer Service"? There is no customer service. It's just email runaround and they sell the car out from under you without even telling you. And... they keep your deposit. It's more like customer DIS-service
Answer: Don't buy from them. The are just like used car salespeople. No difference! Rip-off!
Answer: I had the most amazing time buying a car through Carvana; I got a loan quikly, got my car in a couple weeks and the car is an awesome car; its all registered for me and I just got it inspected, passed no problem. My car only had 42,000 miles on it and rarley was driven. YES get a car from Carvana they are so great! My payments are super low too.
