Carshield is a scam. They have numerous actors and actresses on their commercials in California yet at the bottom of the screen during the end of commercial it states that they do not offer services in California. Why are the commercials aired in a state that does not offer the services? Carshield and their hired actors are frauds who are just looking to make a dollar regardless if they are purposely misleading people.
We were very satisfied with the rapid response from Carshield to our repair shop. The repair was u pressed with the response. However, we were surprised when our portion of the repair was over $600.00 due to the difference in labor rate charges. Our policy covered less per hour for labor rates and we were responsible for the balance. Instead of the $100.00 deductible for an authorized, covered repair we had a bill of $645,00. The repair shop we used is a AAA authorized and recommended shop, so we were surprised there was such a large difference in the difference. Overall, we still feel our warranty with Carshield is a great investment.
My car kept stopping on me Friday before Easter ( Good Friday). I was able to get off freeway safely. I contacted the dealership a d was told which toe company to call. The dealership contacted CarsShild. CarShield was great in taking care of my car.
All I did was call and the representatve provided a claim number for the dealer to call. I only had to pay the $100 deductible and the cost of parts needed. Car Shield literally saved me $1200. I am so grateful I followed a co-worker advice and got this coverage.

Check your records before sending out dunn letters that I owe you money. I applied for membership last month, and you sent me a letter stateing that I owe your company money, I called your company to find out why you sent me this dunn notice, I asked the person that I was talking to, if they would check my payment information and to verify if I owe you a payment or not. The person checked the computer record and came back and told me that I did not owe you any money as I had made my payment the month before. So please double check your financial records to verify that I have missed a payment or not. Being that I am a new customer, it would make me feel better, and this would allow us to start off on the right foot, and would help me to feel assured that I have joined a very professional company. Overall my experience in three years with CarShied was good and I did manage to save a lot of money on repairs. I guess if I had one complain is that most of the time the car was out of service because the dealership had to wait for CarShield to deliver the needed parts. On their behalf they offered a rental but being retired and having another vehicle I turned down they rental. If you have a car out of warranty I would strongly edge you to purchase a CarShield policy because in the long run you will save money on repair cost.
My mother is thr one who purchased this warranty. When you read all the things they cover and just that it sound slide a good deal. But beware it's not. They make you jump through hoops and mire hoops. We had to do the calling between shop and car shield to get the process even going.
We got approved for 2 hrs worth of work. Because they go by a national ase labor time for each part on each car. Do they don't care hoe long the mechanic days it will take they only pay UP TO what their stupid books says, to top it off after trying to figure out what the deal was why it wasn't covering all labor they have now called the mechanic and cut it from 2 hrs to.5 hour of labor.
You can't even change brakes that fast for the most part.
Mom learned her lesson. Just glad we aren't more then 90 days in. But we are out extra money for the 2 weeks we have had a rental car and hee car just sitting in the shop not yet fixed of course. Just ridiculous. How the BBB still let's them operate is beyond me.
First time I try to use this so called insurance auto shop sez they denied any payment for a diagnostic service said it was on me fee is 132.00 an hour and would take 4hrs to check it out right off it would cost me 528.00 dollars to see what's wrong. I am canceling my dealings with Carsheild and will not recommend to others

This company is a joke. The dealership where I get my truck serviced called carshield with the repair estimate. They never called back and I had to call 10 days later to get anyone to do anything. Once they acknowledged that they received the call and quote they said a 3rd party would be out to verify the quote in 24 to 48 hrs. It has now been 96 hrs and no one is even scheduled to go over there. I have had to call and badger them every step of the way and all but one person has acted like I'm bothering them with all my calls and needing my car. Do not go with carshield or carchex, period.

I have a CarShield plan and had an issue with my SUV and CarShield helped me locate a dealer that was in their Car Repair Network. The process was stress free from start to the finish of the repair. I was only responsible for the co pay and a few parts totaling $200.00. The repair would have coated at lease $2500-3000 without having the CarShield Protection. The other bonus is having road side assistance. My car is several years old but having Car Shield is like having the extra warranty at a dealer. If you are thinking about purchasing a plan it's well worth it and def pays for itself! Thanks again Car Shield! 😊
When we signed up with Car Shield the representative made it sound as if everything is easy and paid for. Upon trying to use it for the first time we find that we cannot take our car to the Toyota dealership where we purchased the car and that most places we use such as NTW for tires stopped their contract with them also. The person at Car Shield said just start calling and find a place that will take it.?

My trucks transmission failed and needed to be worked on. My mechanic was very knowledgeable in diagnosing the the problem and dealt with CarShield. The mechanic shop was in constant communication with me and the representatives from CarShield. The process of repair was no inconvenience to me and was remedied in a timely manner. The company was a delight to work with and all personnel I spoke with were very professional.
Had my AC go out and all of their ads saying they covered this and that. It saved people 1800 dollars Bull.
I needed a cooling fan assembly to fix my AC.on my Nissan Versa. After we wasted about a hour the
Lady told the Mechanic that they did not cover the part. The total bill came to 595.00 and with the 100 dollar deductible all it was costing Car Shield was 495 dollars. Needless to say I canceled the policy. When I asked for a refund they said it was over the 30 warranty. STAY CLEAR OF THESE CROOKS
Well something happened with my car after diagnosis was given and after they found out I needed an engine they denied my claimed and nothing happened cause prior shop recommendations was an engine but shop owner recommendations was a head gasket however that wasn't the case so because of this they decided my claims

My engine was seized up. Never, ever leaked a drop of oil. I spilled some down the front of the engine while doing my last oil change. Carshield sent out some "mechanic" to the shop where my car was and his "review" was that all the oil had leaked out of the engine due to "oil leaks". Again, the car never leaked a drop in 5 years but they were looking for any reason to deny my claim. They want me to pay thousands for a teardown of the engine...and regardless of what they find, they will simply use the "excuse" of all the oil "leaked out" and it was my fault. Absurd and simply trying to scam the customer. The shop I brought it to is first rate and they warned me on day one that Carshield would try something like this! Beware!
