Had to pay out money for the car rental when I was told that car rental would be covered. This was not a good issue. Received a notice from the vehicle center stating that the catalytic converter was not covered. This was a $9000 issue to the owner of the car, I didn't think that it was a good thing due to the fact that Car Shield said that they cover issues to the car total car with the Cadillac converter should've been covered.
There were two separate items that based on the contract it was covered and I received a text stating they will be covered, then shortly after received a call saying that it won't be covered due to rust the other claim will be covered (the less expensive claim). I live in Illinois rust underneath a car or SUV is par for the course seeing the type of weather we have here. I was told by the shop there was in fact a leak in the oil pan, which is supposed to have been covered. I didn't appreciate being told one thing then 5 minutes later told another.
I have had to use my Car Shield warranty now 3 times. My latest claim is on my 2016 Silverado where the transmission went out. Car Shield approved my claim in a couple of hours with my mechanic and had me in a rental car in the same day. I have not have any problems with Car Shield taking care of my claims, and I would recommend Car Shield to anyone who needs a warranty on their vehicle. My account was supposed to be a automatic withdrawal each month. This was done for years, but was dropped without a reason when I called to alert and question why I was not given a reason for this and had to pay over the phone.
I called about possibly filing a claim and was advised the parts were not covered. I spoke to Monica and advised I wanted to cancel my policy and she gave me hope that maybe some of the parts or the labor could be covered. So I sent the invoice in and received letter that parts were covered. That's fine, but please don't give me false hope. Always I couldn't get a better plan, so I cancelled my policy. And we cancel my second policy soon
I'm afraid, you never told me I could close the account and take my money. Someone in customer service was saying me that they going to fix it. A supervisor, going to call me. Wait and wait, anyone call me.
I recently needed to have an engine/transmission mount replaced - a $500 job. I called Car Shield and was told this was a covered repair and my mechanic accepts Car Shield. My only regret is that not all service facilities accept CarShield
I have the powertrain Gold. It cover my fuel system, my fuel tank sensor went bad, and was told they would have to remove the gas tank to replace it. That was called into CarShield was told it doesn't fall under my warranty, I am not happy. Thinking about dropping this. Why do I have powertrain Gold when they don't cover my fuel system.

I took my car in because the horn was making a soft groaning noise. I thought it was a fuse and was ready to pay for it. Come to find out it was water in the horn! Car Shield came through for me again! I was totally ready to pay the bill. My heart goes out to Car Shield. Thanks so much.
We just signed up with Carshield. The representative, Hunter, was friendly and professional and explained the product clearly and thoroughly. Looks like a great product.
Car shield wanted to send used/cheaper parts for air conditioner to shop. Shop would not guarantee those parts and would not install those parts. Conflict between car shield and shop delayed repair. In the end car shield payed a fraction of the overall repair and I was stuck with $1500 repair bill. Very disappointed that Car shield works harder to get out of paying for things. It truly isn't the wonderful company portrayed. We had a policy on Silverado and Mini Cooper. Both contracts were cancelled.

They helped me when I had a flat and an hour from home. Just hope they help me out when something serious goes wrong and I don't have to take it to far from home. I never took it to have my door looked at. To far from home.
I needed to take my car to a repair shop appointment the next day. However the day before my appointment I found that my car would not start. I called Car Shield to request a tow truck to take the car to the shop, and they found a tow company and sent it out all in about 5 minutes. Now that's service!
Paid 129.99 for years never used them until now they canceled coverage because of mileage I'm sure they checked after I bought coverage because they told me that my was at an auction which I didn't know because the car was given to me

The mechanic was unwilling to work with Car Shield. He said he had tried so many times in the past, and it never worked out. Told me they were a scam. They would call him while he was working on cars obviously and then they would put him on for extended periods of time while they hunted down aftermarket parts. He didn't want to put aftermarket parts on my vehicle because he guarantees his work. And then eventually he would hang up because he couldn't hold on any longer. He was Trying to run a business.
My repair center told me I needed a new oil pan cover as it had a crack. I called Car Shield and they said it was covered. I took my car to the repair shop and in a couple of day's my car was repaired. Car Shield did what they said it does. Repaired my car and all I paid was the deductible. I would recommend Car Shield to friends and family.
