My engine light came on so I called Car Shield they didn't cover it. I took my car to several repair shops and the BMW dealership and they don't take car shield. So I wasted $99.00 a month for 4 months and no one accepted Car Shield and don't think you're going to be reimbursed cause you're not
Have paid for Car Shield for a year—never used it. Had the check engine light come on and ran a diagnostic with FI XD. Call customer service and was assured that at least the thermostat was covered. Found out that I could not just take my car just anywhere, so took to one of the recommended shops. I had never received a copy of my Car Shield contract. When the repair shop contacted Car Shield, they were told that none of the work would be covered. When I called Car Shield again, I was told that nothing was covered. Also, that the plan that I had had been upgraded, but after I purchased mine; so, mine was not upgraded. So I paid $1200+ to Car Shield, plus the cost of repairs!

Carshield is nothing but false advertisements and a scam. I have a newer car with low mileage and they still found a way to deny my claim. They make extra coverage sound good, but if you ever have to use them there are lots of loops they will have you jump through and stipulations they will use to make sure they don't help you with a dime. Do not let thus company rip you off. Also Vivica Fox and Ice T should be ashamed they are helping this place take advantage of people. Shame on all of you
I just had one question. I was trying to get rid of one plan--car insurance or car shield. Do I need both? I was assured that I needed both, as insurance is for accident repairs and car shield is for repairs NOT caused by accidents. She was sharp in her speaking, tone of voice and clarity of voice. I didn't have any problems after talking with the representative at car shield I didn't have any problem. She told me what to do and they communicated with the repair technician and I didn't have any problems

I brought my Tahoe to have work done on the front end. They had to replace control arms and ball joints. The shop quoted 8 hrs but Car Shield would only pay 4 hours, eventhough the labor rate was 8 hours per the book that is a universal pricing that ALL mechanics go by. I had to pay 400.00 plus the 100.00 deductible to have this done. I think it was very unfair that I pay for a warranty with a 100.00 deductible and end up paying 500.00 more to get my car back. I called Car Shield and they say said that's the rate Car Shield set. 👎👎. Boo for Car Shield.

Car Shield so far has proven to do exactly what they say they will do. I recently had a sensor go out on my vehicle and due to work, was only able to have my car serviced on a Saturday. I was pleased to speak to a live person and get all of my questions answered on that Saturday. Not only that but the sensor was covered, and after my deductible was met, Car Shield covered the rest. My dealership was paid by Car Shield quickly and I was out the door and had time in the day to spare. Easy! And with real people to speak with through the whole process. That's my kind of warranty!

You guys don't cover a throttle. My car is not running, it's the holidays and I'm broke. I need the car to get to and from work, so I can pay for a throttle. The first time I actually need you guys I felt you let me down.
I've been a member for quite a while, never really used it, when I did need them they couldn't help me. My throttle went out and they don't cover it. It will cost 900$ that I don't have. So now I have no vehicle to get to work or anywhere. I pay 109$ a month for carsheild.
Very pleased with the claims process. Coverage could be better, yet will accept for now. Had to have transmission replaced. CarShield paid to have it rebuilt vs replacing with new or remanufactured one at their discretion. Should be at customers discretion. Claims process was very smooth and very pleased with outcome. They even paid for my rental car (retroactively). CarShield worked smoothly with repair facility (AAMCO) which was a great help. Thanks CarShield. Will be sure to keep you for next vehicle purchase.

This is like the 3rd time I needed something fixed that Carshield did not cover. I looked at my policy silver plan and I called to see if motor mounts are covered and it appeared it was but Tire Works said they didn't approve it so I am out $900 for repairs that I cannot afford. My credit cards hate me right now.

My transmission went out on my vehicle. I took it to the dealership who contacted Car Shield and they were very prompt in sending someone to check on the claim. My vehicle was approved for repair and they were prompt in paying the dealership. Very professional experience.

A Car Shield representative contacted me to let me know that my January payment had not been received. My Car Shield payments are automatic and my bank records showed it had in fact been paid. Almost immediately, the representative saw that my payment had been received and apologized for the accounting error.
Well, I had to learn what I needed to learn in my experience. My vehicle could not pass inspection because my check engine light was on. I spoke to one of the agents at Car Shield and was told what I needed to do. It just so happened that the check engine light went off within the 15 days that I had to correct the problem. I went back to have it RE inspected and It passed. I did not have to use Car Shield after all. Now I just have to get my sticker from the courthouse. I wonder now if Car Shield covers everything.
