Good customer service and help maintaining my vehicle
I purchased a new car and had no need for my current CarShield policy. The customer service representative was very accommodating in helping me to cancel my policy with no problems.
I have had to use my Car Shield warranty now 3 times. My latest claim is on my 2016 Silverado where the transmission went out. Car Shield approved my claim in a couple of hours with my mechanic and had me in a rental car in the same day. I have not have any problems with Car Shield taking care of my claims, and I would recommend Car Shield to anyone who needs a warranty on their vehicle. Went to dealership to get car fixed they would not take car shield because they will not pay the dealership. I went to another place that car shield recommened to go but they would not do the work on my car. Went to a second place and wouldn't do the job. I got the list from car shield but no one wants to do the job.

Every conversation, I got an excuse as to why the claim wasn't being processed. When the claim was denied, someone called and didn't leave a message. I had to call myself and be told the claim was denied. The dispute process is a joke. Someone called and proceeded to list the reasons the claim was denied, not asking or accepting any additional documentation from me. I ended up coming out of pocket for days on the rental, because the denial effective date was backdated 2 days.

We were very satisfied with the rapid response from Carshield to our repair shop. The repair was u pressed with the response. However, we were surprised when our portion of the repair was over $600.00 due to the difference in labor rate charges. Our policy covered less per hour for labor rates and we were responsible for the balance. Instead of the $100.00 deductible for an authorized, covered repair we had a bill of $645,00. The repair shop we used is a AAA authorized and recommended shop, so we were surprised there was such a large difference in the difference. Overall, we still feel our warranty with Carshield is a great investment.
