I couldn't be happier with my vehicle and wonderful service, one on one time and didn't feel treated as a sale. Best place for top quality used cars, suvs and trucks. Highly recommended!
Ridiculous! Tried buying a vehicle twice and both times the dealership wouldn't honor the price it's listed for on cargurus! Complete waste of time and very frustrating
"Dealership Fraud" I purchased a Range Rover sport from Alex, on May 06,2022. And this vehicle was absolutely a "LEMON" I immediately cancel the contract within 24 hours after taking the vehicle home and every light on the dashboard came on. How disappointing. I took the vehicle and had a complete diagnostics done by a real dealership at Range Rover -Dallas to find that there was absolutely over $7k of repairs needed before this vehicle could safely be driven on the highway. After returning the vehicle to Alex he agreed to give me back my $4K in deposit. After he received keys back. He refused to do so. It's been over one month now. This dealership is HIGHWAY ROBBERY! Very dishonest. I experience nothing but dealership fraud. Very sad to know that there are people still out in this world doing this type of crime legally. I won't stop until I have reported them to every agency out there. All I'm requesting is for my 4K deposit back. Now you have this same vehicle back on the lot for sale. Customers please be aware. This is absolutely unfair business practice. I won't stop until I get my money back!
Uploading photos, typing in comments, picking the year, etc., is easy Being able to pick options and things that make the car unique is very hard- most of all THEY are going to assign the price and if you don't like the price they assign, they give you a lower ranking like a "fair deal" or or lower. If you go along with their price assignment, but you don't buy extra enhancements from them, after two or three days they lower your rating to a "fair deal" or lower when absolutely nothing has changed with the car. For example, when I questioned them about why after the third day the car was listed they arbitrarily changed the value rating from good deal to fair deal, they closed the listing and marked it as sold! It's not like the service is free - if you sell the car you pay them, which is fair. But all the other bull crap is not Don't waste your time using CarGurus! I wish I had screenshots of my listing, you could see nothing changed but THEIR rating changed... I just don't think they are trustworthy
They offer dealers a "free trial", during which time, the dealer gets a handful of responses that are all fake. Serious car buyers don't email dealers and ask for the carfax or say "I'm interested" without a phone number or valid email address. In fact, most serious buyers show up to get the car they want before someone else beats them to it. A serious car buyer calls to say what time they are coming and confirm you hold the vehicle. Cargurus fake leads generated by a computer as evident in the fake names (Mohammed Jones, Harpreet Abdullah, Hassan Simpson, Joseph Abdelrahman (Catholic, Muslim, Sikh & Protestant names together-FAKE)
The fake leads made by Cargurus cheap generator, spit out a few and of course never ever, in any case, reply back. Then Cargurus calls the dealer after a few months saying "we see you've had 8 leads and are calling to offer you a special deal of $1200 per month for prime advertising"
Cargurus, GFY
Posted a Maserati had 17 inquires gave phone number to all of them not
One call! They all were trying to get my email to get on the black list.
Very poor site to sell car.
I just spent weeks hunting for a good deal using CARGURUS they had vehicle advertised for ******* dealership Honda of Marysville WA said they would drop it by another 1000 if I came in to purchase. I did than dealership played the numbers game and tried to get away without dropping the extra 1000... I walked out of dealership don't deal with liars now the dealership has raised the price another 1000 on vehicle and CarGurus sends me an email check out this car same as I was in dealership to see and CarGurus says dropped in price 1000 when in fact it was actually raised another 1000 some shady $#*! CarGurus is helpful for searching vehicle but they are in bed with the dealership because that's where the money comes from for them. Don't trust the prices you see shop around once you find what you like...
I'm a private owner of a vehicle I'm trying to sell
Their site never works when trying to communicate between the buyer and seller
There is absolutely no one to talk to at car gurus and I truly believe they don't care
Waste of money
I went to a dealership for a mustang I wanted the car but the dealership ran my credit and sent me away I went home still wanting my mustang I came to this site I put my information in for a pre approval and got 1 I started shopping and found the mustang at the dealership online so I did the steps and went back to the dealership with my per approval they where surprised to see me and tried to make me jump threw hoops again I gave them my approval code my down payment and told them to do they job now I got the car I wanted on the terms I wanted and I'm happy this is my 1st car from a dealership and cargurus took something that was going to be a bad experience and made it good
I had a Chat and the Dealer wanted to add a $900 dealer fee to the price and this is not shown which means the price means nothing because they can float bogus fees however they like a way to avoid giving a "FAIR DEAL" price. You cannot gauge deal without a price. The dealer is in Tampa on Florida Ave where all the dealers and the Dealer starts with the letter F, so you can guess. I have NEVER been able to buy anything from them.
They used to be GREAT but NOW they let sellers say ANYTHING they want and get away with it. I search for one model and HALF the ones that come up aren't even what they say they are! I search for Shelby's and get regular mustangs SAYING they're Shelby's. I complained and got "Oh well! We can only do so much.!" Its a waste of time so now I use Autotrader again!
Thank you Ben crofootfor selling us the Nissan Titan we love it. You have done a great job! If anyone is looking for a nice vehicle go to Bailey's auto in Bailey. Ben will give u a great deal!

I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus which I was told had only one owner, the dealership lied, I found out later, the car had two previous owners, a different VIN number, and a transmission which was not the original part, and one of the previous owners had returned the car to the dealership for breach of warranty. Car Guru needs to have the sellers and dealership show proof of working condition, VIN, and previous owners.
You trust CarGurus dealer reviews at your own peril. Why? Because they don't publish all reviews they receive of the dealers' actions and customer experiences, but only the ones they like. Of course they are not going to tell you that. It is very important to remember that CarGurus has a vested interest in their dealer relationships. They can't run their site without dealer cooperation with the listings data. They are ultimately vested in the industry, not you as a consumer. If you report a particularly negative dealer experience, they will remove your review and tell you that they need "better information" about your experience with the dealer. What they really mean is that they need a review that describes a better experience and doesn't damage their dealer relations or even subject them to reprisals. You will only get mildly negative to very positive dealer reviews from CarGurus as a result and their "transparency" promise is therefore worth as much as it costs for them to make it, i. E. nothing.
Paid cargurus.com a fee for listing my cream puff '19 Toyota Highlander, a car which sells itself, and an extra $20 to have it at the top of the list. Cargurus gave my car a rating of a "fair deal," even though my price was less than the lowest range on KKB and Edmunds. I had exactly three "people" reach out in a period of three weeks. One was an "Elvis," lol, who wanted to steal the vehicle with ridiculous offers. One was some guy who reached out, but did not leave a message, and one who reached out after I just closed the deal using - Craigslist, the site where I spent $5.00, a tenth of what I spent on cargurus, and got WAY MORE traction. Granted there were a lot of people looking to steal my vehicle on craigslist, but at least I was getting attention. Cargurus is a good site - FOR BUYERS. It does what people love - gives the cars ratings, based on what cargurus feels the car is worth, which in my case, meant that I would have to sell at trade in value to get a good buyers rating on the site. Will never use them again, nor would I recommend to friends. Unless you want to give your car away...
I was looking for a better car after getting took on a car I bought after following a carfax site, I bought a Saturn outlook after great reviews from carfax well the very next day the transmission went out on it $3,500.00 later it sits in my drive I contacted car fax on there buy back policy and they said no that I bought this car after reading what I thought was a truthful car report, nope they said they don't go out and inspect these cars at all they take the dealers word for it well too me that's bull$#*!, so I found a great deal on cargurus on a 2003 Buick rendezvous with low miles the dealer was very honest about the car I bought it at a very good price, I would not have found this great Buick if wasn't for cargurus so thank you guys I love my Buick and the sales man worked his tail off to get me in the car so thank you to Bob as well great honest person
Sick and tired of the many ads on TV with clueless people saying stupid things like 'is it petrol or diesel' and is it for triplets. Firms like this are a waste of space.
Be sure to visit appex motors in upland I bought a Ford focus and my experience and Payment were affordable and I received the best service from Mona and her husband.
Forever grateful
This is my first experience selling with CarGurus and wow... just wow. I sold the car immediately to someone in AZ. Great experience. I also got about 20 inquiries the very first day.
Answer: Everyone I contacted wanted me to purchase in full price
