What are these new fees?

We already pay a fee to find caregivers, now when we find one there's more fees for a "trust fee" and a "processing fee" of 6% for credit cards when no card processor charges more than 2.95%? And, we can't search providers on our own anymore, we have to use the providers you select? What's going on?

Their site is intentionally misleading advertising a 12.99 monthly subscription tried signing up got billed for a whole year. Called to try and correct all sales are finale. Just wanted a one month subscription was willing to pay more than the 12.99 assuming that was a year long discount that was poorly written just got a no they can only end reoccurring charges. This was less than two weeks after I signed up

While trying to complete the subscription process, I was not allowed to move forward because it was asking for a valid expiration date which I had provided several times. Very frustrating, chose another card, not one that I wanted to use.

I dont understand, why I need to upgrade to get background info and most certainly search if the person referred is a sex offender! I feel if they have been approved as a canidate, care.com should have made sure of all these before taking care of children.

In order to interact with families, caregivers are required to complete a background check - CareCheck. The CareCheck is based on the information the caregiver provides to us, and it includes the following:
Social Security Number trace
National Sex Offender Public Website search
Multi-jurisdictional criminal database search
Federal and county criminal records search
Caregiver profiles display a CareCheck badge. Upon successfully completing a CareCheck, caregivers are subject to recurring criminal checks while they are active on the site. This helps Care.com enforce our membership eligibility standards on an ongoing basis. These criminal checks are sometimes conducted through ongoing criminal monitoring, which is performed by Care.com’s third-party background check vendor and leverages various data sources to look for updates to a caregiver's criminal record.

Care.com uses CareChecks and ongoing monitoring to help maintain a safe community; the results of these checks are not shared. Because our membership eligibility standards for caregivers may differ from your own standards for hiring, we recommend you always run your own background check as part of the hiring process for results so you are able to make the most informed decision for your family. The results of the background check you purchase include the same searches reflected in the CareCheck, updated as of the date you purchase the background check. In addition, the results may include additional information such as driving history, traffic violations, and civil records, depending on the type of check you request. By purchasing a background check, you will receive your own copy of the report to review in detail.

I have been disconnected from my Care account which had all my data. The app doesn't work on my phone. I just had my account auto-renew and charge me $80, yet all my data has disappeared and I'm unable to book sitters. This is an awful user experience and I'd like a refund.
