I sent a Kmart card for Amazon credit - it took well over 2 weeks to "be received" (USPS from Los Angeles to San Francisco), and after reading these reviews, I was getting nervous that the card was lost to me.
But, they did acknowledge receipt, and the card was processed and I received Amazon credit within 24 hours of that.
Not sure if I would use again, seem a bit flaky.
Sold a 100 dollar gift card never got paid this site does not care about sellers at all they only look after buyers. If you want to rip off someone trying to unload gift cards this is the place to go
CARDPOOL IS TERRIBLE!
Do not walk away from this company, run as fast as you can. I sent a 500 gift card to them using their prepaid postage and address label as instructed. Well, when I did not hear from them after 10 days, I tried to find a phone number--- Good Luck with that. After searching to find the parent company, I finally got a person to ask questions, then I got an email and it basically was sorry but not our problem.
Interestingly the card was used in the same vicinity as one I sold previously- HMMM. I am having to file a Police report and File with the Postal Inspector. Will I ever get any resolution. Not from CardPool they seem flippant about it. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT SEND THEM ANYTHING! You are better off keeping it or re-gifting.
Purchased $550 of gift cards only to find out they were bogus gift cards. PLEASE PLEASE stay away from these people. They duped me b/c the app has a 4.6 star rating in the Apple app store so I felt safe dealing with them, that was a big mistake.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
AWFUL experience. AWFUL customer service. They promote and promise everywhere on their site that they deliver their electronic cards within 24 hours. NOT TRUE. I'm still waiting on mine, and it's been 2 days. I can't even get a hold of ANYONE to check the status. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCUMBAGS.
I used Cardpool to buy discounted gift cards for a while with little problem. Then I noticed that deliveries of e-gift cards took longer than usual. That was followed by the company sending bad links and then their system went completely done, disabling everyone from accessing their gift card links.
Ultimately what followed was them sending out fake codes. After repeated attempts to contact them by email and social media, I filed a dispute with my credit card. They replied falsely stating there was evidence that I used the card yet they failed to provide any of that evidence and also failed to sign or even name the person who answered the credit card dispute. The retailer has no information on the gift card code because it is a fake code.
I eventually filed a report with the Texas Attorney General (their processing center is located in TX) and the FBI. Everyone should not waste their time with the BBB. The BBB is an intermediary--they only push papers between parties. If anyone wants enforcement and to get their money back, they need to contact law enforcement. Wire fraud is a federal crime, punishable up to 30 years in prison.
There are multiple complaints with the BBB and Twitter. They have an F rating.
I've skimmed some of the other reviews and understand that Cardpool is going through a change of ownership or just closed up shop.
That being said, I'm extremely annoyed by my experience with them. I had a $300 gift card and decided to sell it directly to the website instead of listing it because I could get paid faster. I did that 03/29/19; it is now 05/09/19! I've emailed them once after a week and a second time sometime after that because I wanted to know when the verification process would end. I only got auto-emails telling me that they would contact me in the next few business days. It's been a month and still no response!
The good thing is, the $300 is still on the card but I lost out on selling it to other people because I believed that Cardpool was in the process of verifying the gift card, but that turned out to be bunk.
If you're going through changes or even closing up shop, don't you think it's common courtesy to not only make an announcement but to inform your users? Unprofessional. It's not a bad experience because I still have the gift card and the money on it but it is honestly really annoying having to wait this long without any acknowledgement, warning, or even a simple response. I'm fine with selling my gift card to someone else or another company but at least let me know beforehand so I don't waste my time and miss out on an opportunity on selling my $#*!.
~Summary~
Considering some of the terrible reviews for Cardpool.com that I've read, I'd say my first dealings with them went comparatively well. Certain aspects of the process were a little annoying, but overall I was satisfied with the experience. (For the record, I am real customer. I know some of you reading these reviews are worried about fake ones.)
~Pros~
* I received 94.9% of the value of my $172.35 Best Buy gift card, which is the best return I've seen from any gift card exchange service.
* I was not asked any questions nor was I "interviewed" by Cardpool as a first time seller as other reviews might suggest.
* They accepted my physical gift card as an e-gift card, thus saving me the trouble of having to mail it to them.
* Customer service responded to my email within one business day.
* Either a debit or credit card will work when selling to them, unlike Raise which requires a credit card.
~Cons~
* I received my payment six business days later than promised, and it likely would have taken longer had I not sent them an email.
* They support neither direct bank deposit nor Paypal when selling to them, only mailed checks and Amazon gift cards.
If you have any issue with your purchase or sale, then you CANNOT reach anyone. I've sent numerous e-mails, with no response and it's 2 months later. (They do not answer the phone either, or check their messages) DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL! YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Cardpool promises a lot up front, but after you give them your credit card they turn into the DMV.
Before buying an emailed "instant" gift card realize that its not going to be there for up to one business day and that they may ask for additional information while tying up your money with a live charge.
I needed to buy some merchandise from an online retailer that was time sensitive relative to available stock and pricing. Cardpool, again before they take your credit card, promises instant access to your gift card. In fact the gift cards are labeled "instant" on their site.
Unfortunately, instant does not mean the same thing to them as after your transaction goes through you do not get a gift card as promised but rather a page saying it can take up to a full business day and maybe longer for you to get your "immediate" delivery of the gift card.
It is very disappointing that there are still vendors out there using deceptive trade practices and I regret not doing more due diligence before giving them my credit card.
Yes, they tend to be better deal than other sites, but they are getting worst. Usually when they hold my order on pending status, and I waited to long for them to approve. I send them an email to have it canceled, which they usually do.
Now when I do that, they would approve my order and than send me an email a few mins later saying that we see that your card was deliveried to you earlier. When I requested them to cancelled my order hours before the gift card was even sent out.
If you going to try something this shaddy, at least waited a few hours before you reply to my email, instead of replying a few mins. After you approve my order..
I ordered a gift card for Lane Bryant for my and thought I was saving a ton by getting a $155 card for $124. That was until it arrived and was instead a Lane Bryant Outlet merchandise credit. The card specifically states this does not work at Lane Bryant, ONLY the outlet. I didnt pay for an outlet card, i paid for a full retail gift card. Well I was going to take my wife shopping tomorrow, but we dont have an outlet here, so now the budget to buy her clothes is gone into a gift card they wont even accept. I hope I can actually get my money back from them. If not, I guess I will have to report it as a fraudelent charge to my CC company.
This company has a 0 response rate. Sold them a 200$ gc and it was put in review. Said the be released 1-4 business days. It has been almost exactly 1 month. Nothing. Just don't do it folks!
I tried to do some research before ordering a target gift card off this site. Of course, a lot of the reviews are terrible and I figured well maybe it won't happen to me... I ordered a physical card bc I had seen so many reviews about the e cards not being activated and figured i would try a physical card first. Well after three days the card is still "processing". No money has been taken from my bank. I even called my bank to let them know I had made the purchase, just incase they had a hold on it or something. Everything was clear on the banks side. I sent 3 emails asking why it was still processing and NO answer, surprising right?! I finally gave up today and emailed them to tell them to cancel it and not even 2 hours later I receive an email saying they cancelled the order. Obviously they didn't want my business, so I took it to raise. I ordered my first gc on raise today and got it with two minutes of the purchase. Don't waste your time and money on card pool! I would give them zero stars if I could!
SHADY COMPANY! Have dealt with this business successfully for years, but they've recently changed ownership. I recently did not receive two gift cards I paid for through their website, and they would not refund. In fact, they won't even respond! Totally different company today. Run, don't walk away...! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN WITH THIS COMPANY! DONE!
Gave them my $25 gift card for AMC. Its over a month later now. I emailed them and now they say I have to physically send my card in when I threw it away, now they wont send me any payment.

Firstly, I have never given a product or a business such a low review before. I understand everyone has bad days or bad luck. One bad experience doesn't mean a company is terrible, but in this case I really feel like they did everything in their power to make my experience crappy.
I thought the idea of cardpool sounding good, so I gave them a try. My first order seemed to go through, but I never received my ecards. After nearly 3 days of waiting and an email to their customer service, I was informed my card didn't go through. I tried another order but then received an email to call them to verify my info. A bit of a pain, but whatever. I called and spoke to Mary. She was pretty rude so I just decided to cancel my order.
I emailed customer support and told them what happened. I felt like my email was done in a kindly matter, but the reply I received was a generic one and the subject line had been altered to read 'Order #Hell.' Wow! Very professional. Definitely not worth the trouble or being mistreated by customer service. Stay away!
PURCHASED $200 DIGITAL GIFT CARD. WHEN I WENT TO USE IT, BALANCE WAS ZERO$$... SAME DIGITAL NUMBER HAD BEEN SOLD TO 6 INDIVIDUALS, 1 OR 2 OF WHOM HAD USED IT TO SHOP BEFORE I DID!... FILED AFFIDAVIT WITH BANK, AND MY MONEY WAS RETURNED...
YOU ARE WARNED..."STAY AWAY!"
Like almost everyone here, I have been stung by the "Three days" period to receive your card.
I couldn't find anywhere on their website any indication of a three days period. Just like many others pointed out, the FAQs section says "a few minutes or up to one business day", but you're never told this upfront and as someone who buys discounted gift cards frequently, I've never experienced a delay in receiving any gift card from any other website. The longest I had to wait was probably 30 minutes. But, THREE DAYS? SERIOUSLY.
I ordered 8 cards and they arrived in 4 days.
I am very pleased and would recommend to everyone.
I don't agree with the negative reviews. My experience has been 5 star!
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.
