I used Cardpool to buy discounted gift cards for a while with little problem. Then I noticed that deliveries of e-gift cards took longer than usual. That was followed by the company sending bad links and then their system went completely done, disabling everyone from accessing their gift card links.
Ultimately what followed was them sending out fake codes. After repeated attempts to contact them by email and social media, I filed a dispute with my credit card. They replied falsely stating there was evidence that I used the card yet they failed to provide any of that evidence and also failed to sign or even name the person who answered the credit card dispute. The retailer has no information on the gift card code because it is a fake code.
I eventually filed a report with the Texas Attorney General (their processing center is located in TX) and the FBI. Everyone should not waste their time with the BBB. The BBB is an intermediary--they only push papers between parties. If anyone wants enforcement and to get their money back, they need to contact law enforcement. Wire fraud is a federal crime, punishable up to 30 years in prison.
There are multiple complaints with the BBB and Twitter. They have an F rating.
