In the pursuit to get a gift card you end up loosing your funds. I hope my honest little experience will make the newbies come to their senses and understand they can recover their lost Gift Card on telegram@ V e r i t a s E t V i r t u s
Their website states that Amazon E-cards will be emailed in a hour after completing transaction... LIE! The confirmation email states that Amazon E-cards will be emailed in one business day... LIE. They say they will respond to customer emails within a "few" days... LIE! They say sending more than one email makes them take longer to respond to you... WTF? Stay away from this business, they are strait liers.
My first purchase went fine, I had the code within 1 hour. My 2nd purchase was the opposite. I had to answer security questions, verify my identity and had to talk to them on the phone and still no gift card. They get a lot of complaints on the BBB. Anymore and I think they'll be getting a BBB Alert, which is rare.
My initial order at Cardpool was rejected by the bank who issued my credit card, so Cardpool instructed me to contact my bank regarding the rejected order.
I called my bank and confirmed that the transactions were legit. Then I went back to Cardpool and place an new order. However, this time, Cardpool canceled my order because their risk assessment team rejected me. I do not understand what the risk is after I did all they told me to do: contacted my bank and confirmed the transactions with my bank. I have even sold two gift cards on Cardpool before and had no problem at all. I did not have any bad record with Cardpool and all of a sudden their risk assessment team thinks that I am a risk? WTF?
I've seen so many bad reviews for Cardpool that I decided to write about my positive experience. I think some people aren't giving it enough time. I went on their website around January 20th. I was selling a $25 Fandango gift card. I input all of my gift card info and waited patiently. On February 9th I got an email saying they processed the transaction and were mailing my check. On February 15th I received my check. I think if people are in a big hurry this may not be the website for you. However, if you are just hoping to unload a gift card you know you will not use, it's a great option.
I went to a kiosk to sell 2 Walmart gift cards. One had 50.00 the other 40. The first kiosk I went to wouldn't scan my ID, so during rush hour and an hour drive, I go to another kiosk, go thru the questions. I accepted their offer, they even sent me the code on my phone. Finally it pops up with this generic message how they couldn't take it, and couldn't tell me why. What? Tried 3 times with both cards. SAME BS EVERYTIME. HUGE disappointment, will not reccomend, nor use ever again. I will not use Coun Star either or any company they are partners with. Too bad too because it seemed like an awesome machine. DO NOT DO IT. Especially after reading these, I'll not use the website either. A big F YOU CARDPOOL.
Bought a gift card and they emailed me a code that DID NOT work - I attempted to contact them 5 times by e-mail and they don't respond. I called my bank and had them reverse the charge after a month and a half.
They got me for a $50 gift card. I was suppose to receive a amazon card for $35 bucks but it's been To Christmas shop. I emailed support but got no response. After reading so many reviews of how this company SCAMMING I suggest contact BBB. It's easier then trying to contact cardpool.
Sent my gift cards to @cardpool almost 3 weeks ago, my transaction has been "pending" no funds from them, no response to my emails. Time to sue them and their new owner David Jones @startupdavid
#ClassActionLawsuit
Was trying to exchange it for an Amazon card for slightly less value. Its been almost 2 weeks and the order still says under review. Cancelling. Not reliable or fast as they claim.
Bought 9 cards, 2 came invalid, emailed and two days later sent "corrected' code, still didn't work, this time they refused to refund! Stay away, this must be a scam
They cancelled my order for no apparent reason and then failed to deliver a gift card in the time that had been promised to me... i'd stay away in general... you will always be disappointed
I bought $68 ann taylor gift card, they sent me code, but it is invalid. I tried to contact with them in last week, no respond. They are stealing people's money
Bunch of bull, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! It has been weeks and I havent not received the giftcard but my credit card has already been charged. No communication only a generic reply "due to back log from holiday season blah blah" STAY AWAY!
If I were to describe Cardpool in one word, I would say it's misleading.
The issue comes up for sellers.
First, they aren't up front with whether they'll accept your card electronically or if you'll have to mail it until after you start the process.
Next, there's an issue with return cards and merchandise credits. Even though they are just as good as a gift card for most merchants (the balance can be checked online and spent in-store or online), Cardpool doesn't allow sale of *certain* brands of merchandise credits. Specifically, I experienced this when trying to sell a Victoria Secret merchandise return card. The problem is that they don't announce this until AFTER YOU'VE GIVEN THE CARD AND PIN NUMBERS. See my screenshot of the rejection.
Bought my gas card for 7 dollars less and it arrived pretty quickly and works, feel great about the savings, was scared by the reviews but this transaction worked well
Cardpool is terrible. I ordered a gift card and never got it. Tried 6 times now to get it, leaving vms, sending emails and talking in person with their reps.
It's been MONTHS since I sent out my cards. $223 worth. Tried to contact this "company" and no response. They don't respond to emails. There is no contact number, they won't let me write a review on Facebook or respond through FB. DO NOT USE CARPOOL UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW AWAY $. Might have to get a lawyer involved in this one. THIS ISN'T RIGHT, SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS.
Sold $50 Victoria's Secret gift card to them. Had to mail it in (prepaid shipping label at least) and wait for cheque. Never received any payment for it after many weeks. Customer service was no help either. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR GIFTCARDS! DO NOT SELL TO THEM!
I bought a $50 ExxonMobil gift card for a friend for Christmas. When she tried to use it, it had a $0 balance. I contacted Cardpool multiple times for a refund and got no response. I filed a complaint with BBB who contacted Cardpool. Cardpool said they had emailed me about it. Never got the email or the refund and BBB wouldn't take it any further because Cardpool had responded to them. I contacted the California Attorney General's office and provided all the information. I received a letter from the AG saying they were contacting Cardpool for an explanation. Shortly thereafter I received an email from Cardpool saying my refund request had been processed and should show up on my card in the next few days, and it did!
I used to buy a LOT of gift cards from Cardpool. They had a large selection of cards, some at fabulous prices, others not so fabulous but a discount is a discount. And they had amazing, fantastic, customer service. That is all in the past. Now, they have a lousy selection of cards, lousier discounts and on a good day they have mediocre customer service. Most days it's just bad.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.
