Sold cardpool a $50 Regal Cinema Gift Card on January 18 and have still not received any payment from them! I have emailed them 3 times have have gotten 3 stock answers from them that they will contact later. They have yet to contact me. This is a ripoff! Do not buy or sell your cards through them!
Sold a couple of gift cards to cardpool.com. Got a phone call a few days letter asking where I had gotten the cards. Explained that I had won them and could provide documentation. They said that everything was fine. Then a week later I get an abrupt email that they were cancelling the transaction and were sending the cards back and that they were not going to disclose why. Made me feel like a criminal. I was honest and forthcoming and said that I could email them the letter that came with the cards and direct them to the website listing my name as the winner of the cards.
SCAM… Sent them cards to sell. First they said they never received the cards. Then when i said i had tracking proof of delivery they said it was slow due to holidays. Then they said we had sold them too many cards. We never did get our check or the cards back. Total scam. Avoid. Do not send them cards for sale ever
I tried to sell them a card. Got all the way to the part were you print the label. Would not print out, after a half hour of trying I gave up and signed out.
Signed back in later and there is absolutely no way to get back to where i can print out the label. NONE!
Frustrating to no end.
Ill keep the card in a junk draw till I throw it out.
I have had nothing but a good experience with this company. Sold a few cards to them and have had no problems at all. I am surprised at some of the negative reviews because me personally had such nothing but a positive experience with them. I hope my review helps!
Buyer beware. Purchased a $150 gift card for $120 went to use the gift card and it had a $31 balance. When you call card pool you never get a human you have to leave a message and wait hours for them to return your call if they ever do. I received an email insinuating that possibly I or somebody in my household may have use the card essentially accusing me of trying to scam them when in fact they are scamming me.
I've bought electronic gift cards from Card Pool on two different occasions and have been completely satisfied. The first card I bought on a weekend and it arrived on the next Monday and the card that I bought today (Monday) was in my inbox in under 15 minutes. I haven't bought any physical gift cards or sold them any, but so far so good with the electronic gift cards.
Had a problem with a Lowes gift card I purchased for a Christmas gift. Lowes decided to stop accepting them. Took a little bit for card pool to get back to me, but they did and credited my account the full amount of of the balance. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the time it took them to respond.
I ordered a WalMart gift card. They charged my credit card and sent me confirmation with the correct shipping address. Later I got an email from them asking me to call back for some verification. I called back, left messages and emailed them- never heard back from them, and I never got my gift card.
Things have started to get real bad recently. All the past orders that I placed were delivered only on the 3rd business day.And these are egift cards which other companies ship out in minutes or hours. I'm taking my business to Raise or other good companies that can deliver on time.
No phone support is dumb. Emails take a day and there is no back and forth communication. They just say sorry we can't help you. I tried swapping walmart card for amazon. Website doesnt work when I clicked exchange for amazon. I didnt realize it switched without me knowing to check in the mail. I then needed code right away for sale on amazon and I chose to take his of $16 to get electronic code, however this just means you submit electronically and it still takes 3-7 days for them to mail. What a joke of a company that even when they screw up they just say sorry, can't do anything now.
I attempted to purchase a card with a small balance ($69). It was an ecard, so I was expecting it to arrive by the next day. When it didnt, I sent a polite email asking for an ETA. I received back an email which stated, "Regrettably, our risk assessment team had determined that we are not able to process your order at this time... due to the nature of our business, we do not currently disclose the parameters of our risk assessment." No way to remedy whatever "risk" they perceived. (If the risk was with the ecard itself - which makes sense given that they are peddling with gift cards they acquire from other people - why not suggest my buying a different one?) My credit card is issued from a top provider, and though they didnt ask or get info to check my credit, my credit is impeccable. I suspect they didnt like my enquiry. Any company that is this arbitrary should not be trusted or patronized.
Do not use this company they are bad. They will send you email gift cards and they are good when you get them but later when you go to use them they have already been used. They did this to our company for over $2,000 worth of gift cards. STAY AWAY
I placed my first and last order here worth of $300 for $270 and they cancelled my order in minutes with no reason given. They got my CC information and cancel my order. Complete scam, please don't use.
I have used Cardpool for over 5 years primarily for buying cards but also for selling. I estimate that I have bought over $20,000 in cards for remodeling 2 homes and updating my kitchen ware. I sold a number of gift cards that I received when I retired. I have always been pleased and have encouraged many friends to use them.
We are giving them 5 stars because the site works just as promised. We had never sold a gift card online before so we were a little worried. We had a gift card for $400. We sold Cardpool our gift card, entered it electronically, received an email immediately with a promise to send the check after our card number was verified. Even though it was after 10 at night, we received a follow-up email 20 minutes later stating that our card had been verified and that our check was on the way. Email said that check would be sent in 5-7 business days. We received it in 5 days. Yay!
I mailed them 2 gift cards and they are now claiming they did not get them. I did business with the one time before and had good luck but I guess that's how they sucker you in.
I see I am not the only one with this same problems.
I sent in an $83 Marshalls Gift card to them on 12/1 - had to send physical gift card. They were supposed to send me a check for $60 and never did. They do not answer phone or email. They have effectively stolen $83 from me at this point. Contact BBB. Do not use this company!
Attempted to purchase gift cards for an anniversary dinner twice. The first time, a day after I placed my order, they notify me that their "Risk Assessment Team" decided to cancel my order. I message their support and let them know that I am trying to purchase the gift cards and to let me know what to do to avoid having my order canceled again.
I attempt to purchase the gift cards a second time. I receive the same notice that the order was canceled, and then a day later, support messages me to say that they apologize but can't do anything about it.
I ended up paying full price on the anniversary dinner because I had spent about a week back and forth with them, and it was time to cut my losses. Bad experience, reflects poorly on the company.
I have purchased physical gift cards, electronic gift cards, and mobile gift cards from Cardpool.com. The physical came within a week, I think just a few days, and the electronic and mobile were instant or close to it. All had exact value that I expected and worked perfectly. In store and online purchases were made. Thank you, Cardpool! :)
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
