I purchase a $30 gift card (printable) for TGIF and when I went to use it I was informed it had a zero balance. I contacted cardpool support via email (the only way to get to them) with the story, order number and I even have the restaurant printed slip indicating a zero balance. It occurred inside the 180 warranty period; but, I have had no response other than the auto reply we will contact you in the next few days. I have sent 3 emails to address this issue and no support responses other than the auto reply's.
Update, I finally did get a response and my purchasing card was credited. It took weeks for the response (TIP: make sure you put your order number from the purchase in the email).
Sold them 3 cards directly on 4/12 for a payout of 1200 dollars. Received payment notifications that night that the deposit has been processed and I'll have the money in 2 days. Here we are 11 days later and still no money.
They have been reliable in the past, as recently as last month. But this is the end for me. And there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE to call!
DONT" WASTE YOUR TIME. This company is a SCAM... There's a reason they don't post their phone number anywhere cause they will not answer your questions and issues. I ordered a card for my employee and still didn't get it to her a week later. Emailed them and they said we need to verify more information but they won't call you back to verify. It's a scam. Don't waste your money!
Ordered a gift card that was supposed to arrive in the mail, it turned out to be a printed on paper and the envelope was damaged. When I opened it, part of the numbers needed to use the card were ripped and I couldn't use it. I reached out to customer service to see if the could re-send or send it electronically since it's just one a piece of paper. After numerous attempts for the past 3 weeks, I've gotten no response.
Cardpool customer service sucks. They don't show respect nor care for the customer. They have the worst customer service...! When the order was placed, the e-gift was supposed to be delivered within one business day but after 2 days I got a call from customer service saying it's a verification call asking cross street #( some junk questions), etc...
My sincere advice to fellow customers, DON'T BUY FROM THIS SITE... stay away from cardpool.com
I sold a card online. Typed in the card info, got an offer. They approved my transaction and after a phone call mailed me a check. The whole process took 7 days. Sold card on Tuesday. It was approved and a check was mailed on Thursday. Got the check on Tuesday. Im not sure why they are getting so many bad reviews, because the process went fine for me.
I wish I didn't have to put any stars this experience has been complete bull$#*!. I sent off my gift card & opted for a check in the middle of October due to their "kiosk" not working at multiple locations spread far & in between might I add, now it's damn near December & NO CHECK. 10 business days my a** don't use this bull$#*! if you're wanting real & quick results.
Tried to exchange my giftcard for 300$. I gave them my address but forgot to put my apt. # with the address given, so i emailed them letting them know. They said they would send another check to the correct address. I sent them an email about a month after they told me my check was sent, telling them I never received it and they never answered back. So here i am $270 dollars owed with an invalid gift card. They are thieves! Stay away from them.
This company was fantastic for buying and selling gift cards! They recieve 4 stars due to slow communication. I bought an e-gift card after a couple days of not receiving it I emailed them. They got back to me the next day apologizing for the delay and issued the card. I used it at the store and it had the exact amount on it. I then sold them a gift card and it was listed within a week. A few days later I received an email saying a buyer bought the card. Had to email them about payment after a week. I received payment by check in mail a week later after emailing them asking if they received the card. In all total it took 3 weeks from listing the card to receiving payment.
I have, on two different occasions mailed my giftcards to them and on both occasions, received a message from them saying my cards could not be processed. They mailed them back and i sold them to another site and they accepted it without questions so what seems to be the problem with cardpool? I emailed them a number of times asking for a reason but no one's ever replied so please just avoid and go sell to plasticjungle or giftcards.com...
I sold an Apple Store card, got an amazon card code emailed to me the next day. I was worried from other reviews that it have been a bad card, but I checked the balance immeadiately and it was valid. They WILL check your CC card balance (known as provisioning) and you should always monitor payments made online or use a masking service like Blur to protect yourself. So far no funny business and I can finally use my money again
They sent me the Nike e-codes. I needed those e-codes for immediate purchase at nike.com. But the e-codes were invalid at the time of my purchase at nike.com. Asked Cardpool for help. They responded a day after and it was too late. I asked them for refund. They refused to do that. They are the worst gift card company with the worst customer service. Will never purchase from them again. If you want to buy gift cards, buy them from other online gift card companies!
I am very happy with them. I sold them close to $******* worth of gift cards since I started with them 1 year and half ago. I have a bulk seller account with them because I have a cash for gold business. Please, use a proliority mail to get a tracking number. Whenever I have any problem, we sort it out. Checks in time and smooth transactions... they deserve 5 stars
I've purchased dozens of cards and electronic codes from Cardpool and never had a problem. I've also sold a few cards and everything went smoothly. I'm looking forward to buying dozens more discounted cards in the future.
I bought a gift card, got a message a couple hours later saying there was an error processing my card and my order was canceled to call my banking institution. I called my bank and they said that Cardpool received an approval code and the charge would in fact go through. Sure enough, I checked this morning and cardpool took the money from my bank but never issued out my gift card. I have tried numerous times to reach out to them to no avail.
Cardpool is an online company that buys and sells preowned gift cards. I had $350 in unused Best Buy gift cards that I wanted to sell. I agreed to sell the cards for $323.40 and was emailed a prepaid shipping label. They offer a choice to receive a higher value for your cards if you take the credit in an Amazon Gift Card. I chose this option. I followed their instructions and sent them the cards on Aug 11,2012. Cardpool claims they never received the cards. According to Best Buy the cards were cashed 4 days after I sent them. I would chalk this up to bad luck and the cards just getting lost in the mail, but upon further research about this company I have found many similar complaints. I suspect they have an internal theft problem within their company.
I requested that they honor the exchange they had agreed to do. They were unwilling to do so.
My concern is that they have a history of doing this to customers.
I have dealt with them before without a problem so figured it was safe but this time was different. I purchased $65 xbox e certificates for my grandson for xmas but when. He tried to use them it came back redeemed. I am filing complaints with the BBB & NYS Attorney general.
I sent $50.00 worth of gift cards to them on 1/8. Its now 1/23 and no payout has been received although there website says the turnaround time is much quicker. I have not received a response to the 2 emails I sent. When I went on FB to let people know, they starting marking my comments as spam. There is no customer service number. If you look online, there are MANY people saying the same thing. They basically had me mail them $50.00 and i have no way of getting it back. I have reported them to the FTC and BBB and I am posting every day on every complaint, rip off report, etxc. I can.
I too like many others have been waiting on this company to provide me with payment on a card that I sold and nothing. I have tried numerous times to contact and have not been successful in getting anyone to return my messages. I am very disappointed in this company!
I keep reading the reviews wondering why people are getting so upset about a site that sells used discounted cards. Yes it's risky thats what we get trying to get a deal. I've bought tons of cards from them yes a few were bad! I emailed carpool and was refunded. Would love to talk to alive person! Cardpool needs to get with the times. I think the Scammers ARE the people selling the cards. I think they keep the card info after the sell it then spend it.It's Risk I take not to pay the full price. I WILL SAY THEY WILL REFUND YOU.
Answer: They cheated me out of 75 dollars in gift cards they need to pay up
Answer: DON'T DO IT! You're just rolling the dice with this company, if there is a problem, you ave no recourse.
Answer: Hi Justin I would not use there service they scammed me out of a 400 Home Depot gift card then the block your account ignore emails and leave you with nothing I hope you look to another service it will save you headaches
The company's reputation is significantly marred by customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues with gift cards that arrive with zero balances and a lack of effective customer support. Many customers report difficulties in reaching the company, citing unresponsive email communication and nonexistent phone support. While a few positive experiences exist, they are overshadowed by consistent complaints regarding service delays, unfulfilled orders, and perceived fraudulent practices. Overall, the sentiment indicates a widespread lack of trust and reliability, suggesting that potential customers should exercise caution when considering this service.
