Pic for attention.
I sent them a card and was charged two $1 'authentication' fees, then spent money on Priority Shipping to New Jersey. I the meantime I was incessantly spammed by their automated servers originating from their servers only to have my card rejected as 'potentially fraudulent' without explanation despite my exhaustive documentation.
Do yourself a favor and avoid these guys. Seriously.
PS They like to bury their contact number in greyed out text and only visible if you're buying or selling, so here it it: *******214
Bought two $100 gift cards for a total of $167 - Sounded great and seemed too good to be true - Turned out it was...
One card had $0 on it, and the other had $47 on it but was already registered to another user's account.
Contacted support and received full refund after about a week's time - Would rather have had the product if I could have though.
Will NOT buy from again - Recommend new potential customers stay away!
No problems. Worked perfectly arrived quickly. I will definitely use this place again. I didn't have any issues purchasing or redeeming my gift card. I hate when they force you to give a long review. That is my only complaint
Purchased 2 cards, and only 1 card showed up in the mail. Sent a email to Cardcash about the problem, and was informed that there shipping dept. sent it so, I was out of luck. Don't do business with these people, unless you enjoy losing money.
I purchased $100 of gift cards to Cracker Barrel. Nowhere in the description does it state that they can not be used online at CrackerBarrel.com. I requested a refund and Card Cash refused. Very poor customer service and deceptive description.
Tried to purchase several gift cards but their system wont let me. Called support but was told that there is nothing they can do. It's either a fake business or they got some really bad software's. What a joke.
Complete fraud! Stay away... bought a couple of cards to help my elderly mother pay for food and she went to use and they had already been used in July. Contacted CardCash customer service, what a joke, sorry we have your money and won't even look in to the problem. These people are thieves and think again if even considering using them.
Contacted customer support same day gift certificate was issued to notify no funds were available on the gift card upon closing out my check at the restaurant. Was told 3-5 days issue would be resolved. Has been over a week and still not resolved
Bought Hyatt hotel gift cards worth $1000. Only 1 card actually had $100 on it. Card cash said it was past their 45 day guarantee so they would do nothing. Would recommend you stay away from this company.
Last 3 times i tried to use the site, my card got flagged for possible fraud, contacted customer service to prove identity, they were no help at resolving so i guess i won't be doing business with them
Customer service is a pathetic joke. Their default answer paraphrases as sucks to be you. After 45 days cards go to zero value and the seller can resell to another sucker. Customer service relies on the 45 day period to deny you any help. There are far better card sites out there. I was not aware you could sell a gift card with a 45 day expiration date. Most states have laws that address this issue - its only a matter of time until these scam artists get prosecuted.
Recently (in the past year), I've had more and more issues with the cards I've gotten from this site. Many don't work, some come with the incorrect value, and some lose value on their own (leading me to assume the original seller is still using it).
Customer support has been helpful within the 45-day limit, but feckless beyond that such that I've had to take it up with my Credit Card company (thank goodness for that). The most recent issue, however, I emailed them about a month ago and haven't heard back - even within the 45 day window).
I've since stopped purchasing from here. I advise others to do the same.
Had a starbucks card...they charged my paypal $1.00, but never paid the balance they owed (19.25) Wont answer email, finally did, no answer for a week...then they said " card is invalid". What? DO NOT USE THIS PLACE...
First, be aware that you only have a 45 day period for which CardCash.com will even insure your GC is valid. We dined at Capital Grill with $100.00 GC and we're told that it had no value when the restaurant ran it through their system. I contacted CashCard.com w/in 36 hours to speak to customer service who, in turn, turned it over to there claims department. Claims department, via email, assured me the GC was fine. I phoned Capital Grill to learn it still had NO value. Finally, CardCash.com said they were wrong and plan to issue a credit. (?) CC.com does all they can to avoid your calls, emails, etc. and then make weak excuses. I have a few of their GC'S and plan to use them asap, but no more.
Purchased $200 worth of certificates for a high end steakhouse chain. Confirmed balance with the chain and when we went to redeem the certificates found out the certificates had already been redeemed. Ended up paying twice for an expensive steak dinner. CardCash responded quickly with the following tough luck response "Buying from any marketplace involves the classical Risk vs. Reward decision. Consumers shopping at a marketplace can save up to 35% but will, at times, receive cards that are invalid or have a balance discrepancy. This is not something we can control."
I purchased a $50 Outback card, and had it shipped to my mother for mother's day. She never received it, and CardCash does not track purchases below $100, so I'm just out of luck. Not the best impression.
I purchased American Airline gift cards from card cash and when I went to use them they had zero balances. After many emails and phone calls still no resolution. The total I got scammed was 734.80! Don't chance it. They won't stand by their guarantee. I am having to get an attorney. Scam!
I've never used them to buy cards, so I have no idea about that end of their business, but trying to sell cards isn't very well organized. At the beginning they bought a few of my cards without any issues, but after that they kept denying my cards, even though the balances were there. I would be fine with this if I could get a straight answer on why, but all I got was the run around from Customer Service and was told to just relist. I said, what sense does that make when all your company will just reject them and my time is wasted... which is what happened. At least they didn't internally steal my card information and spend the gift cards unlike Raise.com... so I give them props for that at least.
**Original Review** See update below.
Bought a $90 Panera Bread giftcard and used it twice. Probably spent just under $20.2 months later tried using it again (today) and it had $0.01 left in it! Haven't had this issue with other gift card resellers. Very upset and definitely will never buy another gift card from this company.
**3/15/17 Update**
Cardcash reached out to me and apologized for this issue and even though I was outside their 45-day guarantee, they refunded me my order. So now I'm not out any money and I'm much happier with these guys. I upgraded my rating from a 1 to a 3 thanks to their social media team.
I have tried several times to purchase gift cards from cardcash and every time they have been cancelled stating that my transaction has been "flagged as high risk" for fraud. I don't know how to not be flagged and the most annoying thing is, this takes 5-6 days before being cancelled so I am stuck in limbo about whether to buy a gift card from some other provider in the meantime or not. Super aggravating, poor service.
Answer: Thanks for bringing up the CardCash BBB rating, we appreciate the opportunity to explain why we have this rating. A few months ago we got into a dispute with a seller who defrauded us. We decided to take this matter to court rather than simply resolve the complaint that seller filed with the BBB. As this complaint remains open while the case is adjudicated, the BBB has downgraded our rating. Once this matter is resolved we expect our rating to more accurately reflect our commitment to excellent customer service and business practices.
Answer: Negative comments because they deserve them. They have the best deals because they have the most scammers selling them cards. That's why they only have a 45 guarantee. The majority of their cards will be zerod out by the 45 days or right after. Then, you are screwed. They WON'T refund your money after that.
Answer: Yes, my brother had a bad transaction with Cardcash. He put a hold through PayPal and Cardcash had to respond and then quickly resolved the problem. Cardcash is the only gift card company that I have dealt with constantly sells bad cards. I know only use giftcardrescue, cardpool, or monster giftcard. Never had a problem with them.
Answer: We have a 45 day guarantee for such occurrences. Please reach out to our claims department so we can assist you. Thanks!
Answer: Of course! You are covered by our 45 day guarantee. Please email sitejabber@cardcash.com so we can resolve it immediately. Have a wonderful day!
Answer: They don't. Don't do it. They make it seem like this is a better, faster option but they've taken my $150 cards for over a week now and have not responded or provided me the MasterCard info. Please stay away and report to BBB as this is a common practice of theirs.
